   My friend has a ton of food allergies, but the waiter and chef worked with her to make food she could eat. The waiter spent time checking ingredients, and was extremely kind and professional in doing his job. The food was delicious!

   The bar is excellent! The appetizers were delicious. The five of us had a range of food, steak, pasta, seafood and salad. Delightful evening in the room behind the bar. We had no problem hearing each other chat and the staff was wonderful! A great place to celebrate!

   Receptionist was a little distant. She did say thanks for Christmas on our our. Margaritas were great. Wife didn’t care for the seafood cannelloni. Said they just mixed up all the good seafood so could not identify what was what.

   740 Front is, simply, just a comfortable place to visit, relax and have a fine meal. It offers a delightful atmosphere, friendly owners and staff and very good comfort food - all at a reasonable price. My wife and I have been there three times and have recommended it to friends. On this visit we both had the short ribs, which were delicious and well presented with perfectly cooked mixed vegetables and an excellent sauce. We had a couple mixed drinks and wine to wash it down. This time we ate on the patio, which is screened from the street and comfortable. Bottom line: 740 Front is worth the drive over from Boulder.

   Servers were short staffed. Our waiter ended up trying to do double-duty behind the bar (not his fault), and there were multiple intoxicated patrons causing scenes. He did the best he could to de-escalate the situation(s), which caused us to wait over an hour for our food and drinks. We were patient and forgiving, and the food was delivered hot and at temperature, totally delicious.

   Excellent experience at 740 Front! We started with cocktails at the beautiful, historic bar. Cynthia and Talon mixed a creative and generous libation and checked in on us regularly. The menu had many appealing options. We chose a pasta dish and a pork entree along with salads and wine. The food and service were excellent, attentive without crowding. Everyone we encountered from the hostess to the service staff was professional and friendly. Each acknowledged the birthday we were celebrating. Overall an excellent meal, we will be happy to return.

   Absolutely love this place ❤️ we sat outside and it was lovely. The food is to die for! The bison filet is INCREDIBLE. My steak was cooked to perfection. One person in our party got a steak that was over done, they took it back and brought a new one cooked perfectly. This is our new fav spot for special occasions!!

    We wanted to try something new and so grateful we did. I loved the feeling of the place - mom and pop owned, saloon attire with updated seating. It was a very busy night with a few large parties so it was loud but the food well made up for it. I wish the price of the food continued on to the dress code. I saw cargo shorts and flip flop to sweats and sneakers.

    First let me say the restaurant is gorgeous! Like stepping back in time. The huge wood crafter bar is spectacular! The food was awesome and we will Def be back! Perfect place for everyday dining but even more so for our anniversary!

    Wait staff was nice and attentive. Kitchen was a little slow but there were several big tables there. Food made up for the delay. Everything was outstanding.

    740 Front Street is my go-to restaurant, whether I'm dining solo or with friends. It's like a Cheers bar "where everyone knows your name!" Food is consistently wonderful, as is service. LOVE this place!!!

    I ordered the Filet and Lobster. The Filet was excellent. The Lobster was room temperature, and way overcooked. I'd have thought a place like 740 Front would be embarrassed to serve something like that. My side of asparagus was way undercooked. Still crispy. To be fair, my wife had the Ribeye and a side of mushrooms and both were very good.

All lobster is not created equal and sometimes it is simply overcooked or occasionally we do get tough tails that cannot be detected until cooked and eaten. In either case we will absolutely replace it to your satisfaction or not charge you if given the chance. As for the asparagus we do intend to grill it to "al dente" but again if you are not satisfied we will rectify it.

    I and my guests have enjoyed 740 Front Street before but this 7pm dinner visit was a disaster! The noise level precluded normal conversation, the service was terrible and the food was mediocre at best. I was told that I could not make a substitution [mushrooms for mash potato] and would be charged for both then both we served! I asked to be seated at a round table because one guest was disabled and needed extra room and we were seated at a small table near the street window. Sadly, I don't think we will be dining at 740 Front Street again!

I am very sorry that your choice of sitting in a dining room that you were told was closed due to short staffing and the need to put an industrial fan in the doorway to the kitchen to cool it as a result of A/C failure in the kitchen did not work out. As for the comments about the substitution you have a valid point which I have take to heart and will start offering the choice at an addition cost. I hope that you will reconsider and give 740 another opportunity.

    Continually our favorite place to go for dinner. Whether we have hamburgers or steak we’ve never been disappointed. The smoked salmon fettuccine, the special this month was to die for! My husband has many favorites, the meatloaf, manicotti, burger, Caesar salad, steak etc. Tonight was no exception!

    Food was darn good though serving without bread a big mistake especially with a juicy Caprese. Service as slow as molasses even when food required no cooking as in salad or oysters. We were told it was very busy and waiter explained it was a busy night. It was a special occasion as noted on reservation and not a word was said to us! We understand the shortages of staff but this is not an inexpensive dinner and the establishment needs to work this out!

    740 Front never disappoints. This place consistently has high quality service, a great drink list, a good vibe, and phenomenal food. Our young server, bless his heart, gave a bit of a dissertation on wine in general, before making a rec, but the wines were great and it was a wonderful evening. One thing to note is discrepancy b/t hard copy drink list and online drink lists...

    My wife and I arrived a bit early for our reservation and had a nice drink at the bar. Our waitress took our order and then it took a really long time for our entrees to arrive. When they did, they tasted great, but everything (including the two sides we ordered) were pretty cold. A cold steak for $30+ is not what we were looking for on a nice Saturday night.

    We dined at the bar where Cynthia (AKA Roxy on fridays) took great care of us with superb mixology and always a friendly smile. We love this place! We gad oysters AMD salads with salmon and crab cakes. Yumm!

    I made a reservation on open table and indicated it was for a birthday. The restaurant/server did nothing to help us celebrate the birthday. My husband ordered the Bison ribeye and it was tough. My friend and I ordered the surf and turf and the lobster was horribly over cooked. We ordered 4 desserts and our server noticed they were burnt (crème brûlée) once she sat them at our table. We did get replacements. The restaurant was not busy and we had an early seating. We have eaten here before when the service and. Food was very good. Not the case on either front this time.

    Decent food, but my Ribeye Steak was over cooked and they traded me out with a NY Strip. I called it out to my server, but he didn’t seem to understand the issue. Instead of getting a lecture from the staff, we just went with it to wrap it up and paid ribeye prices for a NY Strip. We were already exhausted from waiting for the main course. So I just went with it, being last to eat. Needless to say, I would not recommend a steak. And I doubt the right steak would have changed my opinion. Bland and grey steak with parsley… nope. It’s similar in taste to a Texas Roadhouse, but twice the cost. Everything else was really good. So not all bad. Just go back to the drawing board on the steak gents.

    This is only the second time I've eaten at 740 Front St. but both times have been outstanding! I had the oysters on the half shell and the filet and lobster with creamed spinach. For dessert, I totally enjoyed the chocolate panna cotta. We loved happy hour and came early for our reservation so we could partake of their delicious house Old Fashioned. Delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff could not have been more attentive. It won't be long before I come back, no doubt!
