Hungry people looking for food worth the money in Boston’s theater district.
Went after miss Saigon during off hours (4:30). Food was bomb. Server put up w my obnoxious jokes fantastically. Good ppl watching near window.
Outstanding food with some unique selections. The mussels were delicious.
Great food and a great location. Very attentive server. We loved it.
We were invited to our table even tho we were 20 min early by a smiling and happy crew at the hostess station. Our dinner was delicious and well presented by a lovely waitress. She brought your warm chocolate cake w a candle with a sweet smile as it was my birthday. So nice. The only thing I had to ask for was bread ... it cost $1 ... which I think ... for that amount you should just put it on the table, like the S&P.
Our table was ready upon arrival, waitstaff was really nice and helpful. Food and drinks were fast and yummy!
We enjoyed our dinner at Abby Lane. The appetizers were great. Clam Chowder was delicious. The meal portions were reasonably sized. Service was great. I recommend Abby Lane.
Great food and service. It was a bit crowded and noisy when we finished our meal; eat early if you prefer quiet. Very convenient to the theaters.
We arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated on the second floor. Our server was fantastic. When she greeted us she delivered us water and she recognized ahead of time that we had a child with us and served him in a kids cup. Small touches like that are fantastic. The cocktails were promptly delivered followed by the appetizer and the chowder for our son.
The spicy cauliflower was fantastic as well as the chowder. Each delivering the right flavor profiles but not too overwhelming.
We ordered filet tips which were seasoned and cooked perfectly and the buttermilk fried chicken. Both were exceptional.
For dessert we split the chocolate lava cake which was great.
The server kept engaged with us with conversation and took the extra measure to ensure our 5 year old was satisfied with his Sale entree even asking him if he needed anything else.
Overall the experience was fantastic.
Great location, right next to the Boch Center, for a pre-dinner show. The food was delish (had the grilled avocado salad) and the cocktails were great. The servicer was pleasant and helped make sure we made it to our show in time. Highly recommend
Great place for pre-theater dinner. Servers were charming and responsive. Food was yummy and inventive. Cocktails (esp. Mom Jeans) were delicious well-made. Definitely worth a return visit.
I'm not sure if I'll give it another try. I might. The hummus appetizer was very small for the price. the cocktail were $13 each and much of it was ice. And the flavors were very strong. I would have liked a little more guidance when I asked questions about these drinks. The eggplant fries were good but my belly did not feel well for a few hours afterwards...could have been the grease. I also ordered the spicy cauliflower which was quite good. Im a vegan so I had to pick and choose what worked for a meal.
We do not go into Boston much, but when we go again Abby Lane will be on the short list of places to choose from. The location is great, food is great, waitstaff was very friendly, and the vibe was very good. A must go to!
Very nice experience with attentive service...food was excellent and prepared well. Had a great view of the theater from their second floor with the patio doors open. A great time overall with excellent drinks.
A very relaxing dinner before a concert! I love this place ❤️
Excellent food that was reasonably priced. The tables are too close together making it hard to have a conversation at your own table. Too noisy as a result. Please rethink your seating patter . But if you are in the city and want excellent food at a place that is conveniently located, Abby Lane is the place.
We have visited this establishment many times before the theater in the afternoon. We always have enjoyed the fare here and the servers and service are quite good. The servers know the food and drink menus and are helpful with making selections.
We were recently there on the sunday afternoon before Memorial Day and the front wall was open to the street. It made for a wonderful experience as it was a beautiful day and the restaurant was not crowded.
Great atmosphere, drinks were good, food was terrific / empties quick just before shows (two theaters across street) - so time it right!
The menu is limited although the food is good, portions are sufficient.
The food was delicious. Our caveat is not stating the addition of hot and/or spicy seasonings added to their dishes. The buttermilk fried chicken made no mention of cayenne pepper! The eggplant fries were a real different treat and the filet mignon steak tips were cooked, rare, to perfection. Our waiter was good with the exception of bringing the check without asking if we wanted coffee/dessert...which we did.
The food was wonderful - plated beautifully. We really liked our server. I wish we would have got his name. We sat at a table for two in front of the window and came in at about 11:50 a.m. I hope you can track down who it was and give him our appreciation. He was our favorite server over 3 days in Boston and with about 4 or 5 restaurants.
Food was great, but the noise level was way too loud for two people at a small table to actually have a conversation. The noise level is probably deliberate, but does the food and restaurant a disservice.
My worst of many experiences at Abby Lane, only because one of my party ordered the duck confit and the hoisin sauce was so salty that she could not enjoy or finish the dish. We brought this to the attention of the server and he neither apologized nor offer any sort of compensation. He also was not very helpful with other questions we had during the visit.
On the plus side, the lobster rolls were superb!
I enjoyed the environment of this restaurant and would come back for dinner if I was in the area. I came before a show at Royale so the location was perfect. They had a variety of unique mixed drinks and I liked that there was something new I’ve never tried before. All the staff and waitresses we interacted with were pleasant and friendly. The food also came out pretty quickly and was hot and tasty.
Honestly - mad fire af. The nachos were lit fam. Bring your crew and mow down all the way to flavor town.
It was good, but not as good as I expected...but I would return and tell friends to go
This is our second time at Abbey Lane. We haven't yet tried any of the entrees. It's a good spot for burgers, salads, and small plates. That's where the bargain is. Unfortunately they don't make their own veggie burger--I would love to try a burger but I don't want to eat a garden burger or some other type that I could buy in the supermarket.
Seared Tuna was devine and well seasoned. The cinnamon donoughts were warm and fluffy. Upper bar/dining area was well lit and open. Love the comfy seating in the bar area.
Came in for Mother’s Day and had a very nice time. The staff was attentive and the food service was delicious and prompt.
We had a very important business meeting and I closed the deal with the help of the flourless chocolate cake and the strawberry daiquiri
Wonderful food and super service! Great view out the window. Little noisy for a romantic dinner, but great ore theater dinner
Great business lunch. Food and service was excellent
Lively place and friendly service. Great burger and fries. Convenient and fun before a show at the Wilbur
Went for pre-theatre meal. Service was very good and prompt. Food was good. Was sorry that the avocado taco I had last time were not on menu.
Waitress was AMAZING! Food was delish m.
Great place to meet with friends for a pre-show meal.
Great location. Lovely salads. Good service and nice crowd.
Great for s meal before theatre. Excellent Servixe. Friendly atmosphere.
Love the location of this restaurant in the Theatre District--The waitstaff and chef were very accommodating to my lactose intolerance--the food is always good
Hostess was extremely unfriendly, we walked up and told her the name of our reservation, no response she just took two menus, started walking away, we followed, she dropped them on a table and continued walking away. I had a direct view of her while dining and she just stood at desk playing with her hair. Server literally just took our order, no other exchange of words, not even a thank you at the end. Our entrees came within minutes of our salad. We had no plans of staying all night, but we were in and out in less than 45-50 minutes. Ceasar was delicious. Fried chicken was extremely salty. The sauce on the duck was a tad overwhelming and the coconut rice had no flavor, tasted like regular jasmine rice. Only positive was our water glasses were constantly refilled.
