Great food and service. Be aware they include a 21% gratuity and a health insurance charge on top of the taxed amount so your bill we be higher than expected.
Another stellar array of food. Ten courses really adds up and each course was carefully layered to create a beIriful tasting palette. Our somelier Mai uses brilliant and original pairings to highlight the foods.

The best meal I have ever eaten. Incredible from start to finish.
A modest exterior makes room for a sober, understated interior. Minimalist décor, simple, modern furniture, high ceilings, subdued lights. Service is self-effacing and almost unnoticeable. We found it unusual that we had been seated for over 20 minutes before anyone asked us about beverages. We chose the wine pairing option, so our first beverage was served to us more than 30 minutes after arrival. The food was very good and the presentations quite artistic. Some of the flavors we found not well wedded: we love contrasts and we also enjoy flavors that come together. Some of the dishes provided neither contrast nor harmony. I found my oyster dish hard to eat: thin, yet firm slices of curly zucchini (?), with a small, albeit quite flavorful oyster in a delectable sauce. While beautiful, it was hard to eat the vegetable with the instruments provided. The wine pairing was quite successful. I believe there is clear potential for this place to continue to improve to the next level.

Incredible experience. If you haven’t been to Acadia yet, do yourself a favor and let the chef take you on his culinary journey. The detail and attention given to every aspect of the evening was impeccable.
The food was primarily mediocre. The service was actually bad. 10 courses in and the waitress wasn’t even aware that we were unhappy with the mail and it service. I would certainly not spend the money on this restaurant which is sure to lose its two Michelin stars.
There a total breakdown with scheduling causing our group to stand in the lobby for over an hour. Drinks were provided, but we were stuck in the lobby, as the bar was already at capacity. To compound the issues the service staff seemed oblivious to any of this. They were arrogant and just simply rude throughout the evening. One server even removed a plate before we finished because he was upset with us. Night was a disaste, no way worth the price or the rating

Everyone on staff from Michael to the host was very accommodating.

Being a Former Chef and Culinary Instructor I found that the present culinary trends have taken a wrong turn and have drifted into a psychotic realm. No longer is food a warm experience where the senses are fulfilled with the eyes but more importantly with the stomach. It became Blaspheme to all the chefs who came before, like Charles Randhof, and Escoffier who were artists but knew that taste and sizable portions were the experience. There is no reason to go to Chef School to create untasty and cold food with no cooking involved.
we always enjoy Acadia. I prefer Acadia without children Mothers Day is not your fault.
My wife and I had an outstanding birthday dinner. The food was excellent and the pacing was perfect. In particular Jason our lead server was gracious and attentive.
This is one of the micheran two star restaurant in Chicago.
The chef's creation is wonderful, but two things we have noticed as the reason for one missing star.
One: seasoning is little too salty for all the dishes. Each plate was prepared carefully with the fresh ingredients, creative presentation and flavorful sauces. Almost all dishes, however, has too much salt in sauces. Salt overpowers everything. It is a shame, because all sauces has such wonderful flavors.
Two: Some servers are not trained well enough to get one more star. They misplaced the dishes on the table and it is ruining the presentation of the plates. Few plates were served as the wrong side for the front.
Other than that, this is a wonderful restaurant for special occasion.

The food was Asian-influenced and the combination between source/broth and ingredients were very well organized. I have not seen such a delicious Asian-influenced dishes in the U.S. Also, the atmosphere was good in terms of ceiling being very high and plenty of spaces from table next to us. The hospitality of servers were very high. We are pleased with the service as well as food provided by this restaurant.
The meal was outstanding, albeit quite expensive. The wine pairing was absolutely worth it - each wine matched its dish perfectly and really enhanced the flavors and the experience
Worst tasting menu I’ve ever had and hence horrendous value. While presentation was great, the food lacked flavor and was highly disappointing. Some dishes were undercooked or served cold to the point that it seemed like it had been sitting around for a while. Unimpressed by even a single course. The wine pairings were not great either and the pours were tiny. Baffling that this place has 2 Michelin stars.
Excelent staff team, since I entered there. The food not tastefull, ordinary taste but very beautiful apresentation. U$ 450,00 doesn’t worth. Don’t deserve a single star by the food, only by service.
Excellent variety with innovative presentation. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. It was a very enjoyable experience.
Paid $100 per person for the Easter Brunch special. The food was nothing if not completely ordinary. We were served eggs, bacon and some seafood but nothing fancy or elaborate; exactly what you’d get at a hotel buffet. Very unsatisfied with the quality of food I was given for the price I payed.
Our server forgot our drink order and never checked in with us. At times the choice of music was peculiar.
TOO much time between the 10 course experience!!!!! Some courses came cold, to expensive for what it is.

I had higher expectations for a restaurant currently being considered for a 3rd star. The service did not ask (when glass was clearly empty) if another drink was desired. No introduction of tasting pairing options. Food was adequate but not much inspiration/innovation to excite me.
Everything was going well until the 6th course when my wife (who I joke is a bean pole and has the appetite of a bird) said to me, “I’m starving!”
The bare minimum standard for eating at a restaurant is to walk away satisfied - not stuffed - but at least satisfied. That goes for a Michelin started restaurant too.
After making it clear to the waiter we were disappointed we made our way to the door. When we explained our disappointment again to the front of house staff and joked that we were going to shake shake after we left, they joked back that “next time” we should try the burger that they serve in their bar.
What a slap In the face. Had they offered to cook us a burger they actually could have turned a bad night into a great night. Instead they just laughed it off.
And it wasn’t just us who felt this way. The couple next to us heard our joke about shake shake and joked with us that they were on their way to “the wiener circle”. They felt the exact same way we did.
The young kid that showed us to our table also spilled a glass of Prosecco all over himself and us when seating us. That stuff happens, but coupled with the food and insensitivity from the front staff I just had to mention.
On the plus side the wine was incredible as was the sommelier. Was surprised to see so many organics on the menus. We went with the pairing but could have our pick of many bottle under $100 which is a great value for this type of restaurant.
The food was also top notch. Just not nearly enough of it. We thought the portion sizes were fine in the beginning...that it would be death by a thousand cuts...but in the end we walked out hungry.
We wanted more of your amazing food.

Acadia is more than a meal, it is a complete sensory experience. The food is selected, prepared and presented with incredible care. Every bite it to be savored. The only match to the food, is the service; incredibly professional and informative. This is a Chicago dining experience not to be missed.

Having tried many Michelin starred restaurants around the world we came away from Acadia very disappointed. The food was nice but we were not blown away with different tastes that we would have expected. It started well with a crab tart with jalepeno. The casing was light and crisp and the filling was tasty but no hint of jalepeno, unfortunately it tappered off from there. The service was poor, having to wait and prompt several time for our wine to be topped up and water to be refilled was disappointing. We also had to wait a long time between a course, we don’t like to be rushed but when the course is a bite there is no need to wait over 25 mins. Guests came in over an hour after us and ended up a course ahead of us. When the tip is added for you to a large bill we expect the service to be on par and sadly this was not.

The pescatarian tasting menu was so so. One of the dish was like Japanese Sunomono with Enoki mushrooms and kelp. The chef’s recommendation was to drink the broth after finishing the mushrooms. I know the Japanese food extremely well as I’ve lived there. Drinking the broth of Sunomono was like so rediscutons. First of all, the broth was too strong as as it was made like Japanese like sunomono. When I compare other French chefs in France and US such as Jean George, it was not worth in that much price.
The food was exquisite and the presentation was impeccable. The seafood was very fresh and the wine pairing was generous. We have been to a lot of Michelin restaurants and were very impressed with this one. Thank you, chef McCaskey!
