   I hosted a dinner for 6 people. We were seated at an excellent table with an outside view. The wine list was outstanding and led to much discussion among my guests. The menu is very diverse and each guest ordered something different. At the end of the evening, all had rave reviews. I think Acero is the best Italian Restuarant in the entire Region.

   The tasting menu is always a delightful way to sample a variety of delicious dishes. We love celebrating there. Our server even remembered us from a previous visit which was lovely. The Black Manhattan is super yummy. I had the Beet Salad, Ravioli (very buttery with bacon/lardon), Sea Scallops with a lovely crust and a flavorful aubergine relish of sorts, and the cheesecake with berry sauce -- all were very delicious.

   We loved the menu and the waiter was well informed about wine and the art available for purchase on the walls. We ended up taking home a painting. We were so pleased with his wine suggestion. I had the egg ravioli and scallops. Both were very good.

   I love Acero. It is my favorite in St. Louis. The tasting menu is the way to go and never disappoints. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The ambiance is great. It is a bit pricey, but wow is it good. I look forward to going back soon.

    Very nice dining experience. Service was excellent. Waiter was very knowledgeable on menu. Only complaint is that they offer a 4 course meal but then have a lot of adds for various options. Think they should increase the cost and eliminate the adds. All in all a very nice Italian restaurant.

    Acero is just the best!!! We again celebrated our anniversary at Acero. Harris and the entire crew made the evening feel very special. It is truly "our place", and I think that we will be celebrating there each March for years to come! The food, service and atmosphere were all just perfect!! Acero was the site of our first dinner date ever, and three years later, it is still so special for us. Thank you all for a truly special evening . . . yet again.

    First time eating here. Some of the best Italian, and food in general, we’ve had in St. Louis. Worth every penny! We had the tasting menu. Mixed greens salad and gnocco fritto were both amazing. The vinaigrette on the salad like nothing I’ve ever had, delicious! The ravioli and tagliatelle for the pasta course. Both excellent! Had the scallops and NY strip for entrees. The scallops may be the best I’ve ever had, and you could cut the steak with a butter knife. Our server was Jessie and he was perfect! We are ready to go back!

    We went to Acero for our Anniversary. It was wonderful! The service was great and the food was delicious! We opted for the wine pairing to go with our courses, and they were great too. We’ll definitely return!

    We've been here a number of times and like the unique menu. Bradford was a knowledgeable server and very attentive to our enjoyment. We loved the 4 course tasting menu, especially the black ink fettuccine seafood pasta course. Only negative is that there isn't much ambience. We were in the back room, and it could use some better decor. Otherwise, we left very happy.

    I was disappointed with the communication . I booked for Valentine's Day well in advance, and at the time, it was not listed as a set menu experience on open table. I was contacted 5 days before my reservation and told that they needed a credit card to hold my reservation, and that is how I found out about the change. I spoke to JC on the phone, and he told me, and I quote: "If you dont like it, we can cancel your reservation. We have 160 people trying to get reservations." I found this to be incredibly rude. The only option I was left with was to keep the reservation for the tasting menu that wasn't disclosed at the time of booking, or try to find another restaurant 5 days before Valentine's Day. This situation was completely mishandled, and that is a shame because aside from the first contact with JC, it was fine.

    The food and service was next level. You know that scene in Ratatouille where the food critic was transported back to his childhood from the food, that happened when I ate this tomato on toast dish with burrata. It was like eating the best tomato soup and grilled cheese. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings and it was an incredible experience. Highly recommended!

    We’ve been to Acero about 10 times in the course of the last several years. Up until this visit, we have always had an outstanding experience…excellent, inventive food and amazing service. We love the tasting menu. We selected Acero this time as a special place to celebrate a friend’s promotion. It was a first visit for our friends and I’m guessing they won’t repeat as Acero did not live up to the expectations we set. While the off-menu burrata appetizer was delicious as promised, the Raviolo was cold inside, a steak was not cooked as ordered and had to be returned, the lamb was overcooked and our server whom we’ve had before and thought was outstanding seemed quite busy and slow to check in on drinks and food after it was delivered by a different confused and cranky staff member. We will think twice about our next visit sadly.
