Love this place! Have been going since high school and always delivers with good food, vibes, and music. Wish they could have performances too but given COVID times can't expect much anymore. Our server MJ was so kind and even ended up giving me a free drink. Happy to dine at black owned businesses and this one hasn't dimmed in quality even amidst the pandemic.

I’ve dined at Amarachi a few times and the food is always good as well as the drinks. MJ is a good bartender.

Amazing food, I got free drinks and sparling red velvet cake for my bday! The food came put a little slow as I dont think they were fully staffed but it was worth the wait. Great place, thanks again!

This place is a 5! Right from check in with covid measures to hand sanitizers at entry /on table, social distancing, masked servers to the space. Food is delectable and great value for $$. What a gem! Truly enjoyable experience of Afro cuisine! The chicken coconut curry was amazing.

Food and service were great!

Showed up for a 7pm reservation. No indoor seating was available. Decided to take food to go instead and placed a takeout order. Hostess who took the order had a very poor attitude and was openly mocking her manager in front of guests. Was told it would take 30 minutes. Left and came back in 30 minutes. Food was not ready. Was told it was going to be another 15 minutes. Left and came back in 15 minutes. Food was not ready. Was told it would be another 15 minutes. Instead of waiting we asked for a refund. Was told they could not put it back on the card. Was given cash back instead, but was shorted $0.02. Overall restaurant seems really unorganized with many employees walking and standing around doing nothing.

Seated outside due to covid but the atmosphere was very nice. Great music. The service was good considering it was crowded and there was a private event. The food was ok, I had high expectations.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Amarachi! The server (and bartender) MJ made amazing recommendations and the drink she made (the Yardie) was delicious! We loved the wing platter and all of our entrees, particularly the jerk chicken and plantains and fried chicken and Mac and cheese!

We had to wait a while/20 to be seated even though we had a reservation, we had to wait for 40 minutes for the food and our server forgot the appetizer. But the food was delicious.

We were seated for 30 minutes before receiving a menu or drinks. One hour into the visit we received a drink. We were seated for 3hrs total and received an entree and one drink. We took the 2nd drink to go at the 3hr point. Food was okay but service was really slow.

Our hostess MJ was the best! She was very attentive to our needs and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our meals. I had a very tasty mango mojito and a delicious plate of salmon, rice, and spinach with bell peppers which I never had on top of spinach before, but which, I must say, added a great texture and taste to the spinach. The portion sizes, especially of the rice, was huge and quite filling. I had enough rice with my meal plus enough the next day for two people to enjoy. My daughter (just moving to Brooklyn) and I had a very nice outdoor dining experience at Amarachi!

We came to celebrate my friend's birthday and EVERYTHING was great!! The food to die for, the service on point, the staff friendly and attentive and the music had you bouncing in your seat.

Kind of crowded only one side of room was open seemed like there was only one waitress food came late are I had for 15 people was to cramped

Enjoyed the food, drinks, and the overall vibe. It's great if you're looking for a night out with good music. Not ideal, at least on Friday night, for a quiet date or conversation. Service could be much improved as far as the wait for food and ordering, however serving staff was pleasant.

We had a business meal welcoming a new employee in our company, and the group of 15 guests were very pleased with the food and service provided. When we misplaced our bill receipt, the restaurant owner was promptly helpful on providing us with a second copy. Their customer service oriented focus and the delicious menu will definitely bring us back!

All around great hang out spot on a Friday night. Ambiance was cool, crowd was good, food was delish! Service was horrible. First off, I made reservations and honestly that didn't even matter. There was no host/hostess to greet us at the door, only a bouncer. Fine, no problem. He found someone to take us to an available table. When we got to the table, there was someone sitting at the table as well. Annoyed, but ok. We sat for almost 30 minutes without anyone coming to introduce themselves as our waiter/waitress or without a menu. Finally, we got a menu. Another 20 minutes until she returned to take our drink orders. Finally, 10 minutes later drinks came. We gave our orders for both appetizers and main course. A whole 30 minutes later, we received or main course BEFORE the appetizers. Ugghhhh! I was annoyed. We made the best of it. the music was great and the food was awesome. We would go back on a Friday night, but may hit the bar instead. Amarachi, you need to train your staff!

The food was ok, but the service was trash. I went there with my fiance on a Wednesday at 6:15pm. There was maybe one or two other tables of people, but the restaurant was mostly empty. For most of our time there, our waitress was no where to be found. After we ordered our food, we waited for over an hour for the appetizers. We got our appetizers eventually at around 7:40pm. When we got our wings we asked where our calamari was, as the waitress did not have it with her. We were then told that they were out of calamari. If we had been told that at the beginning, we would have been able to order something else. Our food did not arrive until around 8:15. the food was ok, but not worth that long wait. There are plenty of black owned restaurants with better food and better service. The decor was cheap looking as well. When it was time to pay we could not find the waitress again. While we were eating she had said she would "take care of us" because of the long wait. I thought she was going to comp part of our meal or something. Nope. she came with two shots of cheap rum...And on the bill, it still said calamari on there. nothing was comped. We then had to wait to fix the bill. We had a show we needed to see at 9:30. I kid you not, we left there around 8:50. there was no need for us to be there that long. I'm never going back and I will NOT recommend this place

Been there before and loved the food, so had to go back. The new people that were with me loved it and said they would be back.

The food was amazing!!!!! Our waitress who's name I forgot went above and beyond to ensure that we were well accommodated. She was fast, fun and very friendly. My friends and I can't wait to visit again

We went to Brunch to celebrate my Sister’s 21st birthday. 5 of us got the chicken and waffles and the last person got the “Big Breakfast”. What enjoyed the most was the strawberry butter that came with my waffle and the mimosa picture that cake with every meal.

The food was good but our waiter wasn’t the best she just didn’t render good service but I LOVE the volume of the Music it was too loud!! I could still hear my friends and have a nice convo none of this club style blasting music so loud in restaurants to the point that you can’t even talk to the people you came with! Other restaurants should take notes!!! I will definitely return I had a good time!
