We had a delicious meal for my husband’s birthday. Everyone was lovely. We will be back for our next celebration.
Nice dinner for our Anniversary with extra attention from our server. Food was excellent. Love that this is a small, intimate restaurant.
Excellent Kendall Square option ... would recommend checking it out.
Food was very good and came out quickly. Very friendly, attentive staff. Will be going again in the future.
Super over priced for average at best Italian food. The service was good, but was very disappointed overall in our experience sadly.
Very nice place, small, intimate, reasonably quiet. Excellent service, very good food, decent wine selection, and they offer Peak Organic beer! Family owned restaurant and it shows in the level of pride they show in serving their clients. Steve
Wonderful food and service!
The vongole pasta was way too salty. I think they didn't properly prepare the clams. Also found a piece of hair in the seafood stew.
Very nice evening. Same owner as Nearby Sulmona, much more intimate as the space is much smaller. The Pasta Norma was quite robust. Recommend.
Quaint little restaurant with great food.
Wonderful food,,, terrific service,,, nice atmosphere... perfect place for a date night!
Its website says it is handicap accessible and that is true for there is a fine ramp leading up from Portland Street into the restaurant. Further, the staff went out of their way to accommodate me in my small power wheelchair and putting me at an appropriate table. However, the restrooms are DOWNSTAIRS.
I go here frequently for business dinners as the food is very good, service is good, and it is a great place to talk. Cozy and intimate so great for romantic dinners as well. Good wine/drink list.
Always reliable and relaxing. Unpretentious and just really good food.
This is a great small restaurant. They have really good Italian wines by the glass. Awesome!
Amelia's is our favorite restaurant. Love the food, its small size, and the friendly staff. It is great for a romantic evening, a quick bite before or after a movie at the Kendall Cinema, or a leisurely get together with friends.
I had several lobster shells in my lobster ravioli which hurt my mouth.
We go often and always love it! The only difficulty is that the tables are too close to each other...very crowded.
Overall a nice and comfortable dining experience; worth another try. The service was a bit inattentive; slow to get drinks, and then slow to get order in; yet food service was then excellent. One of the worse caesar salads I've ever had made with "chopped romaine" so it lost any sense of crunchiness with a mediocre dressing, however the spinach and goat cheese salad was superb. The braised short rib bolognese was excellent as was the spaghetti with clams. Will go back, just not for the caesar salad.
The food was really over priced, and I felt as if the food was undercooked as well. It was just overall not too much of a good experience.
We have been there three times in the last 2 months. Love the atmosphere- small neighborhood trattoria with great food. The only complaint is they need one more waiter/bartender. The two gentlemen who work there are friendly , personable and do a great job. It just seems a little understaffed.
All 4 of us enjoyed the evening, & our food and drinks, especially the sangria and Malbec wine which sometimes hard to find in small restaurants. Disappointed that no vegan and very few vegetarian options so could not return with my family. Would also appreciate more healthy, less caloric choices. Although a bit pricey, especially if go to Kendall Theatre movies before or afterwards which is nicely nearby, we would like to return.
Amelia's was pretty good, although they were out of the mushroom pappardelle
(my favorite and the reason I went) and the lobster ravioli that someone else I was with got was fishy. Overall, great.
Amelia's is a lovely small neighborhood restaurant. The food was phenomenal - flavorful, fresh, portion size just right. We will absolutely return, and recommend it to friends!
best little restaurant. Over the last several years I've been coming has remained consistent!! Great food, great staff, feels like you are eating in someone's house.
GREAT RESTAURANT ,GOOD FOOD,GOOD SERVICES ,NICE AMBIENT ,I REALLY RECOMMEND IT
Everything was great. Every dish was perfect. Exactly what you would expect from a small intimate restaurant.
Great food and the staff is outstanding.
we had the worst service. no one came to our table for quite some time. had to ask for the specials. it was just weird.
Fabulous place and wonderful food. I'll be going again!
Service was horrible, raviolis were hard , !
We love Amelia's. It's easy to make a reservation if you can plan a bit ahead. The atmosphere is friendly and engaging. The bar at the front of the dining room is a focus and seems to work well if you don't want a table. The food is great, I love the fish stews. The wait staff is friendly and helpful.
Tables were kind of close together, but other than that, great food and wonderful service!
Perfect date night. I like small places where I can actually hear the other person talk. The service was amazing and the food was just what I needed. We had the meatball app, perfect for two. I had the bolognese, my goodness I haven't had a dish like that in so long! I recommend this restaurant 100% I can't wait to try something new next time.
Everything was outstanding!
House Salad was small. No bread offered or served, Service was slow... one waiter and bartender/waiter. The best Old Fashion Bourbon and ginger I have ever had.
Th best pasta ever! My first time going here and I anticipate being back very soon.
Every time I've passed by this place at dinner time it's been completely full, so I was excited to finally make a reservation and eat here. Overall, the experience was fine but nothing extraordinary.
We got a basket of complimentary bread to begin, which came with a tasty white bean/olive oil dip-- the dip was excellent, but the bread (which appeared to be tiny slices of focaccia toasted in flavored oil) was room temperature and hard to chew. It tasted like it had been left on the counter for a while, and would've been exponentially better if it had been warm.
We ordered the octopus appetizer, the ravioli of the day-- bolognese-- and the butternut squash gnocchi. The octopus was tender and flavorful, and came with a kicky sauce/vegetable medley, but they kind of went overboard on the capers. The ravioli was tasty and nicely al dente, but honestly nothing special-- I kind of regretted ordering it, since it wasn't as interesting as some of the other options appeared to be, but that wasn't their fault. The gnocchi was probably our least favorite of the night-- it was heavily seasoned with cinnamon, which in combination with the butternut squash pieces made for an almost dessert-y dish. The texture of the gnocchi was perfectly light and fluffy, though, which was nice.
I doubt we'll come here again, honestly. The food is fine but nothing special.
Excellent food, good ambiance, and good service. Great place to go before or after a movie at Kendall Square Theater.
Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Nice people with good service.
