Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance. And red lamps that hang in bright contrast with the earthy tones during the day, shed a sexy flattering nighttime glow. Brought friends from out of town. Calamari was excellent. Negroni with Amaro was outstanding. Had the veal with pasta and it was amazing. Not a lot of meat but I really liked the dish.

As always, the food was really good, but they have crammed so many tables into a small space - the noise level was intolerable, and no one in our party felt safe from Covid. We will not return until outdoor dining is an option.

The Amelia’s staff bent over backwards to make our January 2021 visit wonderful. We booked outdoor seating through Open Table, but were told when we arrived at the restaurant that outdoor seating was actually closed for the winter, so we thought we were out of luck on the safe dining experience we had hoped for. One of the two waiters on duty volunteered to throw on a coat, set up an outdoor dining table and a heat lamp, and handle our outdoor table on top of his full slate of indoor patrons, and both waiters came out multiple times to check on us and refill beverages, despite the freezing temperatures. I’d go back for the phenomenal service alone, but the food was also flavorful, creative, and well cooked, and the restaurant itself is charming and cozy with just the right level of sparkling conversation noise (as observed from the check-in stand). This is a great date night spot.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food! Great service and cocktails, too. I've driven by this restaurant for years and finally booked it for Christmas Eve dinner. It did not disappoint, and I look forward to returning again soon. The pappardelle with wild mushrooms was delicious, as was the beet salad. Check the restaurant's website for the menu, as the OpenTable menu is different from the current offering.

We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. We arrived at 7:25. The place was packed and there was another group of three in front of us that also had a reservation. Everyone seated was either at the very beginning or in the middle of their meal. At 7:45 I finally asked one server if there was a chance we would get in and he said he had no idea and that the computer allowed overbooking? He then offered us to sit outside - it was 35 degrees and no one was crazy enough to sit out there. I have no idea what that means but after waiting for 20 minutes past our reservation time, we went down the street to a different restaurant. I hate to give a bad review but they need to figure out how to deal with reservations.
