Shredded skirt steak braised in a garlic sauce of fresh tomatoes sliced onions and peppers.
Shredded pan fried skirt steak flavored with garlic, mojo criollo sauce and savory onions.
Grilled skirt steak.
Went with a friend. Our first attempt at indoor dining. Picked this place because it was close to where we would end up at the end of the day.
Safety measures were all in place. So we felt fairly comfortable eating indoors.
Service was very good.
Our only complaint was the music was too loud & the 2 gentlemen at the next table who had been over served were yelling over the music. Unfortunately or Fortunately the quitter one of the 2 fell off his chair and it took several people to get him up. They left...the music was lowered and we were able to finish our wonderful food in peace.
Food was absolutely delicious! Drinks were good and the music and decor were outstanding
Wonderful 👏 👏
I love this restaurant because the food has always been good in my experience. I went for Valentine's day and my food and the drinks were both delicious.
My date didn't like their food unfortunately. They ordered fried fish and felt that it was very dry. The drinks tasted good, but they weren't strong at all.
The restaurant wasn't super busy and our food and drinks both came out quickly, but the waitress seemed to be backed up somehow.
Overall I had a good experience and will continue to come to this restaurant, but some minor improvements can be made.
Staff was friendly and accommodated our late arrival. Service was really slow and food not as tasty as the reviews said. Afterwards realized most the reviews were for brunch. Will go back, but to try the brunch menu.
Great place ,food was good and the service was good also
Great food and very kind and attentive service
Love this place. I go once a week.
Great job at keeping us safe. My ONLY complaint is that the music inside was a little loud for dinner conversation. I hope that my favorite little restaurant survives these times and we can be with our friends again.
I had the most delightful cubano sandwich there. They have done a fantastic job accommodation indoor and outdoor dining during covid. Very welcoming experience.
From a native Cuban - thank you for this little piece of my childhood home.
This place has become our favorite cuban restaurant near our home!
A very casual place, food is good but drinks are expensive and not that good.
Have been driving past Amor Cubano for many years and decided to brunch in East Harlem vs closer to home in West Harlem. Great decision. Food was great and affordably priced, waitstaff was attentive, drinks were delicious. Perfect Sunday brunch in NYC!
I either go here or take out atleast once every week. It’s a jewel in my neighborhood. The food is very authentic and the portions are worth every penny. I always get their empanadas too. They come with this great cilantro sauce that I wish they would bottle and sell on its own. Highly recommend.
Terrific service, cozy hip Cubano atmosphere, outstanding live music, great authentic menu. Love this place!
Had a dinner date here with my partner. Not only did we have amazing food but the service was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive. I can’t wait to go back.
Food was amazing, live music and service a yes! Love it will come back!
The food, service, music and ambiance were all great.
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, our experience was amazing. We actually went to celebrate our anniversary and were over an hour late to our reservation but the host welcomed us with open arms and told us “no problem, it is better late than never!” With a huge smile on her face to welcome us.
When we got there the band was killing it in full force playing their beautiful takes on salsa. For drinks we got a pitcher of champagne mojito, totally worth it because we were already feeling it after our first cup. For apps we got the fries calamari and the empanadas. Also delicious and hard to stop eating every last bite. For our entrees we went with the churrasco and the ropa vieja. The ropa vieja was AMAZING so juicy and very well seasoned. The churrasco on the other hand was very bland and not cooked well done like my boyfriend asked.
We also got dessert because why not! I went with the tentacion de chocolate which was heaven in my mouth. My boyfriend decided to get the tres leche, which unfortunately he didnt like so much. By the end of the night, we were so saucy over the mojitos and bloated from all the food. Glad we took an uber and decided to skip driving!
Overall, it was a great experience and a homey and friendly environment. Couples were even dancing all night, young and old. Would definitely return with friends!
We have been here to celebrate 2 birthdays. They have been outstanding both times. We warned that on the weekend, they have live music, and it’s loud, but we live it and always have fun. Food is incredible. Drinks could be stronger, but they taste great! If you are looking for a fun evening with delicious food, this is your place!
The restaurant is still serving delicious food. The ambiance is inviting. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food was delicious (as always). The ropa vieja and vaca frita are still a fave!
Delicious Cuban food and fun vibe. The band was great!
The service was provided in a professional and caring fashion. The ambiance was warm, friendly and the lighting added a mysterious and tropical tone to the restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful.
It is a wonderful place for a date, get-togethers and family outings.
Good food. Good sized portion. Not overly priced. Small atmosphere. Good, but not amazing. If you’re in the mood for Cuban go here, or are in the area. Not terrible sangria either, for a Cuban restaurant!
Beautiful place in Harlem. Food was delicious. Service was great. The live music blended so well with the food and the atmosphere. Definitely coming back!
They Did A GREAT Job! Delicious Food Y Drinks!!!
This was my second visit to this restaurant...again on Thanksgiving Day...and it was just as good as it was my first time three years ago. The food is AMAZING! The service is AMAZING! For desert, though not traditional Cuban, the chocolate volcano cake is to die for! Amor Cuban is easily the best Cuban food in Harlem.
It’s a family tradition to go to Amor Cubano for holidays and birthdays. We love the food, the staff, the neighborhood for people watching and the easy access. We’ll never stop going there❤️
Shrimp empanadas were a great start. The mojito is very good, mango was my favorite. The beans were very good although could have use a bit more salt in my opinion. Some said they were fine, some said a bit more garlic or salt would be good(difficult to please a cuban cooking family with outside cuban food). My family enjoyed the vaca frita and the palomilla. Maduros and tostones were excellent. The budín with guava was a hit. Service was very attentive and they even added a bit more rum to please my uncle who asked for it on his cuba libre. Will recommend this place to family and friends.
Overpriced, terrible food, mushy paela, noisy hard to keep a conversation...
My Mom Enjoyed her Birthday. Server Kathy is Great.
First off, the restaurant was not terribly clean. The bandstand which we were seated next to was filthy. The ham croquettes were mushy & tasteless, Arroya con Pollo had a few pieces of chicken cubes mixed in with a lot of rice, also tasteless. Vaca fritta was inedible, tough stringy pieces of meat, also tasteless. Ropa viejo was so so. The staff was very pleasant & attentive. Overall, very disappointing.
Delicious authentic cuisine. Well prepared and priced. Worth the trip uptown.
Great food, atmosphere, music, and great for kids. Excellent hospitality!
Amazing dinner, the live band was great, and the service was perfect!
Wonderful as usual. The band was amazing.
Very nice establishment with beautiful decor, great food and warm, personable service.
Nice atmosphere, live music is great. Food was very tasty and typical Cuban dishes on the menu., we had Churrasco and ropa vieja and I do recommend them! Will definitely come back!
