Antica Trattoria is a warm restaurant with an old-fashioned sense of hospitality that quickly became a gathering place for dinners in Lake Murray and the rest of San Diego when it opened in 2001. For Executive Chef and Owner Francesco Basile, good cuisine is about honest flavors, fresh ingredients, and simplicity. That's the kind of food he grew up eating by the seaside in Sicily and it's what he learned in culinary school in Italy.

Why eat ordinary when you can eat extraordinary?

About reservations: We have a 15-minute grace period. Please call us if you will be running later than 15 minutes. If a later time slot is available, you may be able to switch your reservation.

We may contact you, so please ensure your email and phone number are up to date. Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 4 guests; 2 hours for parties of 5 to 8 guests; and 2 hours 30 minutes for parties of 9+. We cannot guarantee special request for tables.

Haven't been to Antoca in a long time and its glad to see the place is still as good as we remember it. Will have to come here more often in the future.

Food excellent except way TOO salty in every dish we ordered Service above and beyond first class from Francesca Ambiance very beautiful High noise level with no drapes or other sound-reducing material present Server recommended a very excellent Italian wine (Barbera) will return for sure but request low salt while ordering

Our experience was wonderful; our server should do stand up on the side - on point, friendly and funny. We had a chefs special and were also celebrating a birthday so we thought we would get two desserts but didn’t want to be pushy. Lovely experience. Wished our table could’ve been just a bit askew with the table right next to us, so they wouldn’t have been *right* next to us. We tried to leave them alone & they seemed unbothered by the four of us. Will definitely be returning.

First time trying it. From a fellow business owner we gotta get that hostess thing that’s inside moved outside or something. You create a funnel of servers, checking people in, people leaving and door dash just keep running into each other. It’s horrible and a bottleneck set up. Maybe some chairs outside(since a ton weren’t used and just piled up outside) and the hostess stand there too. But besides that food was just ok. Sauce wasn’t that great on the pasta and the fish tasted fishy. Just wasn’t as good as we would have liked. We aren’t a 5 star everywhere place. We’re real on the reviews because we want you to do better and better. I like how it’s decorated but the lights needed to be dimmed like 25-50%. I give the place a C-.

We enjoyed our meal immensely! It was a little noisy for a Monday night, but the food was wonderful. And Francesca was delightful. The half price wine on Monday was a bonus we hadn't anticipated. Our Super Tuscan was a big value!

One of the best dining experiences. The staff were all amazing, upbeat welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu and beverage menu. Our meals were absolutely delicious. Look forward to returning soon.
