What Insiders Are Saying
A.O.C. in Beverly Grove is fancy and sexy and serves top-notch French food as well. Your sex life can thank us later.
great food, patrio is best in LA and great service! highly recommend it
Unfortunately the service didn't keep up with prior experiences at this restaurant. The food is always good, although the plates have either gotten smaller or?
On a warm nite in LA, there is no better place to be than the patio at AOC. Thanks
Great place and great food
The service was not attentive. It was difficult to order drinks and my entree was completely skipped.
Amazing location and food! Bacon wrapped dates are a must have!
What’s to say? Perfection is always a wonderful experience.
food quality / care was not commensurate with my expectations / previous experiences at AOC-- i think probably our earlier reservation killed the meal. Seems like we were being served yesterdays food almost across the board.
A bit oily .... AOC = All Oil Covered
Seating on the patio was dreamy, service was excellent. Farmers plate delicious, black cod was so greasy it was off putting
We always enjoy our get-togethers at AOC. Feels like family!
I usually love this restaurant, but it appears as thought there have been some changes to the menu. My tehachapi salad was too bitter and the egg prosciutto brioche is no longer on the menu. Overall, not a satisfactory lunch especially for the price.
Very surprised by (disappointing) quality of food. Too much salt on entree (cod) and vegetable (saffron peas). Wow-enough to raise your blood pressure. I ate the dishes because I did not to wait for it to be redone...AOC compensated by taking off the final bill...and handled the my comment on food very graciously.
Entree had also too much oil for a gratin. (Focaccia was superb!)
Unfortunately, it seems that food is overpriced for quality (freshness is there; but not execution.).
Great in every way as always! AOC has been a go-to since it opened and never disappoints.
great atmosphere and the manager was really kind and let us move to a different table when we had another 2 people join us. our waitress however was rude and it was pretty obvious that she didn't like us for asking simple things such as jam for our toast...
Lovely brunch. Wonderful wines.
Everything about our experience at AOC on Saturday was lovely. THe food was great. The service was perfect. And the ambiance was beautiful.
We wanted tapas for a pre concert meal so we can keep it light. We were seated at a wonderful table in the wine room overlooking the courtyard dining room. Everyone was so accommodating, especially since we had an only an hour before our show. Jeff, our server spaced out our 5 small plates perfectly. The food was amazing and I highly recommend A.O.C to anyone in the Beverly Hills, Hollywood area.
We have been to A.O.C. several times before and have never had such a bad experience. The waiter, Matt H., ignored us completely throughout our lunch. He never came to greet us, so we waited at least ten minutes before my husband flagged the hostess. She had the manager come over, who kindly took our order. No apologies were given. We got our water and drink (finally), and the food was served by other staff members, not the waiter. My order came with a salad instead of fries, and a busboy got that corrected. Our water glasses were never filled again until the end of the meal. Also, the waiter took another 10-15 minutes to get us our check.
How was this experience supposed to be a decent meal at a fine restaurant? This was beyond disgraceful! We're not even demanding customers. A.O.C. ruined our day!
I would never recommend anyone dine at A.O.C., and we are certainly not returning in the future. The staff should be ashamed of themselves.
Host was a bit cold and indifferent. Not outright rude, but let’s say I’ve received a more genuine welcome and response at IHOP when checking in for a table. But once we sat down we quickly forgot her. Our waiter was incredibly charming and attentive. Food was everything we hoped for and then some. Wine pairings were flawless. Incredible dining experience overall and can’t wait to return.
I’m always a fan of a dining experience where you can try many things. Yay tapas! We ordered too many things to list here but it was a really nice mixture of flavors & textures. Savory, buttery, sweet, refreshing etc... The pace at which each dish came to the table was perfect. Enough time to enjoy each item with no big lulls in between. Our drinks were tasty, our server was friendly and attentive and made great suggestions and the restaurant itself has an inviting ambience. Very hip without being overly trendy. I love that you could come back to this restaurant and order all new things and have a completely different meal. I would certainly go again.
Overall wonderful experience food was excellent, staff was friendly and attentive
loved! thank you for a great experience. food was delicious! especially the new salad with cherries and we loved the roast chicken and focaccia!
Wonderful food and great service.
The menu is tapas style and the expectation is that you will order about 3 dishes per person. Hard to get out of there for under $200 for two people. The food was good but nothing stood out as unique or creative.
Wonderful, as always! Such a terrific restaurant. Thank you!
Great atmosphere, food was good but the potions were too small, and the price are a bit high.
Decided to come to celebrate my husband's birthday based on reviews. We were not disappointed! Everything was excellent.
What a pleasant space to spend a relaxing lunch. The wait staff seems to be enjoying themselves and provide excellent guidance. The food was excellent and the wine selection perfectly matched to the food. In short a real great place to dine at and enjoy a relaxed time.
Excellent small plates for sharing.
Tables are a bit close together, but acceptable.
Corkage is $30, normal to slightly below for the level of the restaurant. They will provide a decanter on request.
Food is inventive and tasty without being salty.
Ordered lots of tapas - everything was very good, some things outstanding. Though since it's a sharing place, the portions were quite small. Inside restaurant by the fireplace is beautiful. Outside, under a cover, is pretty, though a bit rustic - doesn't quite jive with the inside. Good service.
My grandma and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at AOC. We shared the spicy soppressata focaccia, the brioche, prosciutto, gruyère & egg, and the spanish fried chicken. Each dish was better than the last. My favorite was the spanish fried chicken, though the focaccia certainly is an extremely close second. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous - perfectly decorated with the feel of being transported out of busy LA and into a quiet chalet. Can't wait to return!
Cauliflower was amazing!
Patio was just too, too loud. Food was great but we had to yell
Food and service were outstanding. I've lived in LA for two years and never knew about this place--so glad I tried it. I would highly recommend for special occasions.
We had family here from our of town for Mother's Day - and they loved it! Delicious food - and such a beautiful setting!
Soft egg scramble sandwich too soggy. Had to eat with utensils.
Turkey focaccia almost inedible. Too salty.
Gorgeous atmosphere. Bar looked inviting enough for me to consider coming back for cocktail with a friend. No food.
Came for Saturday brunch and our table ordered the chicken and waffles and the French toast. The chicken came in 7 to 8 small strips. Nothing special and surprised as to the strips served as I'm used to one to two full pieces of dark or white meat chicken at other places. The French toast was ok but both came out lukewarm so the temp wasn't as warm as it should have been to enjoy the dishes.
I would recommend the restaurant based on past experiences and ambience. My omelette was nothing special - so greasy that I needed to ask for an extra plate to transfer it out of its greasy pool.
AOC is still terrific. While it may not be the hot new restaurant that just opened this year, it should be on everyone’s list as a go-to place. Interesting flavors, attentive and comfortable service in an upscale casual atmosphere. Sophisticated without being pretentious. Cheers to AOC.
