Area Four Cambridge
Area 4 is a great place to meet friends for a beer and some outstanding pizza and salad. Special pizza's routinely show up that are very creative and seasonal. Draft beer is different every day.
Superb, thin crust, wood-fired pizza. Ordered the marinara pizza with just a touch of pecorino cheese, and shared the cauliflower appetizer. The pizza was excellent. With the cauliflower, it derived all of its flavor from the sauce on top. It would have been far better had the flavor been infused throughout (e.g. marination prior to baking).
Very busy spot in the heart of Kendall Square. Also they validate parking which is rare in the area!
Service was first rate. A bit noisy for me but a great vibe nonetheless. My son recommended and loves the place happy I could treat he & some college friends to brunch. They loved it. Great place for brunch.
Absolutely fantastic pizza. Tried the soppressata and the mushroom and fontina, both divine. We also had the shaved brussels and kale salad with the small order of the garlic knots per the recommendation by our very kind server. Everything was delicious! Will definitely return.
Pizza pizza pizza - not sure what else there is to add but this place is off the charts yummy!
Amazing “supreme” garlic bread!
Such kind staff! Brought us a sweet treat at the end of our meal for our anniversary.
Thank you for helping us surprise my boyfriend for his birthday! :)
Loved my breakfast at Area Four. Great shakshuka, service was prompt but not annoying.
I love getting brunch here. Their breakfast pizza is fantastic!
Do it. Great location, nice staff, great food, pizza is on point
I had one of the BEST pizzas I have ever had here (your butternut squash pizza is incredible), and the mac and cheese and drinks were PHENOMENAL. Our waiter saw that it was my birthday on my ID and brought out a free skillet cookie for my birthday! it was DELICIOUS. The salt on top, couldnt get enough! this place is wonderful and i will most certainly be back.
My only comment is i wish the barbie drink was sold at this location!
Area four is one of my favorite restaurants and I keep returning. The food is great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Really great and interesting food choices that branched out from a usual pizza place.
The Ham and Pineapple and Mushroom and Fontina pizzas were both standouts. Very excellent. Service was very friendly and fast from both the host and waitstaff - hostess was very welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good pizza with friends.
Enjoyed all our dishes: Margueritta pizza, mushroom pizza, lamb/pork meatballs and garlic knots. Went late afternoon so noise not a problem.
They have the best breakfast sandwiches in the Boston area!
Gracious service, interesting, well-prepared food. We made reservations for a "quiet" table on a busy Sunday morning and it was ready for us. Waiters (three at different times) were all polite, thoughtful and efficient. Three of us ordered a "Hot Mess" and each of us loved what we got. But can there be too much bacon? Unbelievably, yes, when added to a plain pizza! Our only "won't do again" from an otherwise great Sunday lunch.
3 people had dinner, 2 thought the pizza was very good, 1 thought it was good. All 3 thought the Mac and cheese was watery and just okay. We all loved ordering 8oz beers, allowing for more experimentation. The appetizers weren’t very creative and didn’t appeal to any of us.
My friend and I went for Brunch. We made reservations. We were seated right away. The food was delicious. and the staff was phenomenal!
The food here is always great, and the service is just as good. We frequently eat here with our kids without any problems. You have to get the chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie with a scoop of ice cream for dessert ...it’s banging.
The Special Pie (the Reuben) was not good at all because the toppings and cheese were too much for their thin crust and was extremely soggy to eat.
Quality pizza on the whole (you must be ok with black charring on your pizza in order to enjoy it at Area Four. Sticky buns and choco croissants very good. Nice assortment of beers on tap. Popular place - I would encourage reservations. Host was friendly and waitress was provided great service.
We took a simple margarita pizza and a shaved brussels sprout/kale salad.
The pizza is thin crust, and it was good but not exceptional.
The salad, when mixed with the dressing, was nice. However, it was not mixed well before serving, so part of it did not get the dressing and was somewhat dry.
All, in all, it is a decent spot. Not amazing.
Service was below average.
Food and service excellent. Tables are a bit too close together. My friend had to keep getting up so the person on the inside table could get out and back in again. It was like being on a plane!
A neighborhood gem! Area Four is a great restaurant for a quick bite, a drink, or a hang out with friends and family.
Pizza was soggy and not hot enough despite good ingredients.
Chopped Kale and Brussel sprout salad was fabulous but Waiter forgot to bring it until reminded.
Lighting so low you cannot read menu.
Maybe students have low standards but not good enough for adults dining
Great food; a bit pricey but a great experience
Birthday dinner with women. The food was delicious, easy comfortable atmosphere.
I'm a frequent flyer to Area 4 both in Cambridge and in South End. I love them both, it's really my favorite goto spot around town, never had a bad meal or have had bad service there.
Absolutely delicious pizza...Three of us split a margherita pizza and an amazing salad and it was plenty! Their cocktails were great, made a mean old fashioned 👌🏽 Will one hundred percent go back!
white anchovy pizza really good, salad fresh and tasty margarita pizza not great
Service was poor- we were the “waiters” as our waiter was not tuned in
First time to have their brunch. We were amazed by their french toast. So tasty! We sure will bring friends to have brunch in Area 4.
We chose Area 4 for meeting our god daughters. Perfect inter -generational location.
Went for New Year’s Day brunch and it was delicious
Made a reservation for New year's Eve, but nobody let us know they'd be closed. Showed up on time to a darkened restaurant. Would have been ok except that nobody from the restaurant ever attempted to apologize or offer an explanation for the oversight.
Great pizza! Staff was super sweet to the kids in our group and had high chairs and crayons ready to go
