As usaual we had a great time and delicious food!
Was lovely
Michaela was great. The piano player was great. The gouda mac & cheese was great.
It was so nice to be back in a restaurant! The staff remembered us from a year ago. We dined in weekly before the pandemic . We were very impressed how The Rail has adapted to our current environment. The food was excellent and the live piano player was absolutely wonderful!
We love The Rail and always a satisfied customer. The manager was phenomenal! There happened to be an issue with our meal which the manager immediately corrected. I can't get back to the previous survey in which I inadvertently hit three stars for food. The food at this restaurant is always excellent.
Food was excellent, our waitress Bridget was very nice, pleasant. Atmosphere was nice, can't wait to sit outside. Drinks were great. Great evening out.
Absolutely amazing! We had the best experience there and the food was the best we’ve had in the area. We’ll definitely be going back!
The food was great. The service was wonderful. I only wish the restaurant would take down the website that advertises the Sunday brunch. The restaurant does not offer a Sunday Brunch.
Saturday night during the Covid 19. Reservations were for 630 and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was probably 70% full at the time service was good food was good.
We’ve done there frequently and when you want to avoid crowds and have a pleasant comfortable atmosphere this is a good choice right now. The menu although not real Broad is adequate. I had a fried chicken special dinner that was very good and my guest had a seafood we’re fish dinner that she enjoyed.
Had the crab cake dinner. The crab cake was good but small. It came with a couple crunchy carrots and three small pieces of unflavored potato. I was starving when I left. For the expense I should be full when I leave. The potato should be a full potato and it should include more than just a couple crunchy carrots .The staff was very nice.
The first time dining at the Rail and will not be the last. The food was delicious....service was great and we had a table looking out onto yhe golf course. They raised the blinds and we had a beautiful view of deer! We also loved the piano entertainment. We will definitely be back!👍❤️
Our server Barbara was awesome! Will be back for sure.
It has been over a year since we last visited this establishment. Although the service was outstanding and the facility is very nice the quality of the food was only so so. The trout with red cabbage and mashed potatoes was virtually flavorless. In the past the crab cakes were served with delicious white sauce but that has been stopped and cocktail sauce was the only offering. Very disappointing evening.
The Rail always delivers. Closest thing to a “fine dining” experience in the Christiana area. Wide open dining space ideal for COVID-era dining out. One our business go-to spots.
We go almost every Sunday. Barbara is always our server and that’s why we keep coming back. Most of their food is excellent but something has gone wrong with their griddle specials and waffles. The waffles use to be excellent. They are now HORRIBLE. I’m thinking they may have switched to some kind of prepackaged mix. Their pancakes were good (not sure if they changed that batter as well) but they refuse to make a plain pancake if you don’t like the griddle special. They are stuck on peanut butter pancakes. I love peanut butter but not in pancakes. Many people are allergic to nuts so that alone makes it a bad choice. I am someone who can’t take all the grease with the other offerings so just would like some good waffles and pancakes to come back!
Just a very comfortable atmosphere and great food and service. We loved it!
New Years Eve dinner. Spacing was perfect. Piano player was phenomenal.
We continue to enjoy At the Rail and list it as one of our favorite restaurants. I would like to compliment the restaurant in this time when safety and health concerns are paramount to any visit. We felt that At the Rail took every precaution to protect us as their guests and in return expected their guests to follow protocols to protect their staff. The food and drinks continue to never disappoint. Thank you for making our brunch so relaxing, safe and enjoyably delicious.
Everything was amazing from appetizers to drinks to the main course
The food was excellent but we expected to have the buffety as it was described on-line. We understood why the buffet was canceled but the web-site didn't show that it wouldn't be a buffet. Being charged for toast was disappointing and they were out of rye bread and there was no romaine lettuce for the ceasar salad.
Very disappointed in The Rail. They completely changed their menu and took off all the good food. Our family is very sad because this was one of our favorite places to go for dinner. We won’t be visiting there again.
Absolutely delicious food and COVID-19 compliance in effect.
Highly recommend At The Rail. Never disappoints.
Karen was awesome! Thank you.
Expensive but worth it!
Great place for a quality relaxing meal. I keep going back!
I usually have good experiences at the Rail and the food is usually delicious. However, this time the food was barely edible. We ordered a Filet Mignon which was severely over cooked and the vegetables that came with it were under cooked. We also ordered the Flank Steak tacos which were severely under cooked. The meat was so red and just bloody all throughout. The best part of the taco meal was the coconut rice. The saving grace of the entire meal were the wings we ordered as an appetizer, which we're glad we ordered since we didn't eat our dinners. The service was subpar. Our waitress was never around and she only took our orders; our meals were brought to the table and cleared by other waitstaff. Then when we were ready to leave, we waited a while for our waitress to come over to ask about the check. It wasn't busy so we're not sure where she was throughout the evening. Just not a good experience.
The food was delicious
The crab cake had little filler and had loads of crab meat. The house dressing to go with the side salad was delicious! We dined outside on the patio on a sunny afternoon so the ambience was perfect.
Saturday night dinner at seven. Will h social distancing it was very quiet. Service was excellent and food was good. Menu seemed reduced in selections
Hidden gem for sure! I had the short rib omelet special and my husband had the chicken salad. Cocktails and food were all delicious and the meal was shockingly inexpensive for the view and quality. The service was quick and the very nice manager even offered to take our photo outside! We'll be back soon!
Always comfortable dining with great ambiance and food.
You don't have to be a member to enjoy this lovely country club. Restaurant and veranda are spacious and welcoming. Service is attentive. Food is very good. Will return next time in Wilmington.
Service and food were great. Comfortable experience for a mid-week dinner in the COVID environment.
Always a great opinion. We always have nice experiences at The Rail. Saturday night did feature a rare steak that had to be sent back. Management did what was right and apologized. Sadly, the server was snippy after this happened, even though she was not at fault, except for perhaps not sticking around to make sure the steak was cooked correctly. Since this is the first time in a half a dozen trips this happened, it should be put in perspective. We will be back. Also kudos to the pianist who made the evening seem more special.
We had a very enjoyable dinner with friends. The menu was limited but offered some nice choices.
At the Rail was a pleasant dining experience. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was very good.
The crab cakes were excellent! Piano player was awesome. Great service. The room is large and dark, but plenty of social distancing space. Highly recommend.
We love the rail. It is a quiet restaurant and bar with great food and service. We never had a bad experience.
All was good until they kicked everyone out of the restaurant because “a tornado was coming” - it was only a rain storm. They overreacted, very unnecessary.
Great atmosphere, Great menu, Great service and Great Food!!!
