Atlanta Fish Market
Had a late reservation (9:45p) and was rushed the entirety of the meal. Wasn’t given option to order dessert (birthday celebration). Told we had 3 minutes to order appetizers, entrees and drinks. 3 minutes is what we were told verbatim despite a reservation. It is my understanding that restaurants don’t put disclaimers on quality service and experience depending on what time you come during normal operating hours. Hostess was rude and walked away when we requested booth seating. Busser was staring us down while we were eating our meal to rush us. He was oddly trying to intimidate us which I found strange.
Food tasted good and was fresh & well-prepared despite the fact that they sent it all at once (appetizers and entrees). Server was skillful, but rude in rushing us constantly. Still tipped 20% despite deplorable treatment...I’ve worked in industry and am respectful of people wanting to go home because I’ve been there (adding for context).
I generally liked the restaurant but have mixed feelings about going back because of how poorly I was treated.
Consistently good as always. The seafood is always fresh. All six in the party were delighted with their entree
The place has fallen off in recent months. The quality of the food (except perhaps the sushi) does not justify the prices.
My daughter and I ate there on Sunday. Our only complaint is that we wish we could have gotten more "breakfast" food on Sunday. We liked the food and our server was really nice.
Horrible! At a certain price point, I expect the wait staff to be knowledgeable about every item on the menu. The food was subpar and clearly pre-made. This is a volume business, akin to a Cheesecake Factory, not a quality dining experience. There are too many really great restaurants in Atlanta where $65/person is well spent. This is not one of them.
Noise level varies depending on where you are seated, goes from just a little on the louder side in the lower section to on the quiet side in the upper. Food was amazing, perfectly cooked. Service and wine recommendation was top notch. You cannot go wrong here.
The dish I ordered was “ok”. My husband enjoryed his meal. The service was excellent. I would return and try another dish.
Will definitely be back! So many more choices that really want to try
We were celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday. This was our 1st visit. The waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful with her overall knowledge of the menu. Our food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. We won’t wait for another special occasion to return!!!
Good food, good service, and compared to their dinner prices, the lunch prices seemed fairly reasonable. We ate an early afternoon lunch on a Saturday. As a result it wasn't crowded so pretty quite. Only complaint is abysmal valet service which you are forced to use. Not expensive, but that is not the point. I loath trusting valets with my vehicle. I have had TWO stolen this way. Anyway, they weren't at all busy but still took 10 minutes to bring my car around. To think I got to pay for the experience. Enough to make me reconsider going back anytime soon. Unfortunate that the AFM allows such crummy valet service as it messes up an otherwise good experience.
Our waiter was fantastic! Our dinner was exceptional! We love dining at Atlanta Fish Market
Very nice place to have a date for two, dinner with friends or family, or some alone time. The location is beautiful and the service was amazing. Food was delicious and it felt very welcoming. Will be trying this place again.
Servers and wait staff very friendly. Menu had entrees for everyone - even us with diet restrictions. Loved the atmosphere. The food was delicious!
My wife and I both ordered the Lump Crabcake meal from the lunch menu. The crab cakes had more filler than lump crab meat which was extremely disappointing. The crab cakes themselves were much smaller than expected also. The sides of whipped potatoes and green beans were very good but did not override the issues with the crab cakes themselves. The waitress and the ambiance were good...
Requested a quiet table and that was exactly what we had. Very attentive server. Three of us had salmon and the other person had swordfish. Every one was quite happy with their plate. Reminded us to come back soon. Great lunch!
Wonderful Service! Food was delicious. Cant wait to go back!
Excellent Service And food! Definitely will be there again!
Service was not great and one of our dishes came out cold.
Great meal with my daughter and sister at the bar. Food and service outstanding!
The food was phenomenal but the service was beyond awful. She forgot drinks and half of our tables food came out 20 minutes after everyone else's. Management seemed not to care and it's a shame because they just lost what would've been repeat customers.
Excellent food & service. Great place for a date, birthday or special occasion.
We waited 40 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Very disappointing. Valet was also extremely understaffed which resulted in significant wait times arriving and departing.
My wife and I had reservations on a Saturday evening. We had to wait well past our reservation time. Wait person was nice, but was unable to attend to us in a timely manner. Food was very good. Overall just an OK experience.
It was our anniversary dinner and they didn’t acknowledge it even though I had mentioned it in my Open Table reservation. Also the table selection was not great and really there doesn’t seem to be a good table in the house, meaning a table with great ambience.
Server wasn’t attentive to us. Too late and too busy.
Blacked black grouper from the fresh catch list was incredible!
Please label food. Oysters Rockefeller has bacon. I am allergic to bacon.
My wife and I both came for fish, and chose Halibut - she got it sauteed, broiled for me. Both were *perfect* - the highlight of a great meal - drinks (the Boca cocktail) and a bottle of white wine - Chenin Blanc; lettuce 'Wedge' salad for her, crab bisque and jambalaya for me as appetizers, Apple Crumb Tart and Creme Brulee for dessert. It's rare to have this many things and for them all to be SO good.
The seafood was fresh and seasoned just right. Cocktails were stupendous
Birthday for a friend
I am a Buckhead life dining card holder and I frequent this group's restaurants. We have been to Atlanta Fish Market many times over the years and traditionally go for king crab legs on our birthdays! This years celebration was very disappointing. The food (calamari, sea bass Hong Kong style, and king crab legs) was very good as we expected. The disappointment came with several other issues.. Rudy did his best to please, but between the bread burning in the back of one of the ovens and the black mold on the ceiling tiles and air vents adjoining to them, the ambiance and overall experience was far less than what we've come to know and expect from a landmark restaurant that holds itself in the "high end" circuit both in price point and popularity. The decor and open kitchen is fine, but there are literally tiles and light fixtures missing from the ceiling in several places.. and the noise level just grows until it feels more like a school cafeteria than fine dining. We will not return until I hear that some simple changes have been made.
Great restaurant. Food and service was fantastic. Freshest seafood in town.
Great food. Great service. I found it hard to believe that we were put at a table without overhead lighting. Both the hanging light and ceiling light above the table did not work. We had to use the flashlights in our phones to read the menus. Even with the flashlight, I could not read the gluten free menu. Type was to snall
Always excellent! The broiled Chilean sea bass with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes was like a little piece of heaven as usual! Consistently excellent! Service was wonderful and the server even gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate a friend’s birthday! Can’t go wrong here. Consistently excellent over 2 decades!!!
We have eaten there on numerous occasions, and have never had a bad meal UNTIL this time. I ordered the yellowfin tuna dinner, medium. It came out raw, and I sent it back for good. Just ate the potato & veg. Although I was not charged, I was disappointed that the Manager did not come to our table to apologize. Still a great place to dine. Just a bad night, but we will return in the future.
Great dinner with friends.
I very much enjoyed my experience! We celebrated my moms Birthday over lunch ! The service was great ! I enjoyed the food , service and the overall restaurant !
