I have dined at this restaurant more times that ai can count and have never had an issue. This particular evening I had two major complaints: First, the temperature inside the restaurant was about 80 degrees! I don’t know if the A/C was on or was broken, but it was extremely uncomfortable and no apologies were made. Secondly, this was a business meal and I found it hard to carry a private conversation over the music being played. If you wish to make the music that loud it should be of a neutral genre (jazz or classical). I would think twice before dining here again for business.

Management: PLEASE do something. A prominent low point is your filthy, smelly, ill-stocked bathrooms. You smell the sewage before you are in the bathroom, as you go down the hallway and the air becomes muggier and smellier (right next to the kitchen) you second-guess your decision to dine here. Require your employees (who have a nose and eyes) to bring this up to par. The filthy HVAC vents also tell me much more than I need to know about the restaurant's lack of attention to cleanliness and health. Old, caked off-brand sugar substitutes in the sugar containers on tables, waiting 35 minutes for bread and butter (after asking for it 4 times), and lackluster preparation makes this place no better than a fish shack at the beach. Dull steamed vegetables that look like they came from a bag at publix (cauliflower, carrots and french beans). You can do so much better - and that would put this place in the B range as a restaurant. I don't recommend anyone spend their money here.

Overpriced not even descent bread and butter. Server could not pronounce salmon and had no information on menu items. We waited a long time for everything. I know pandemic situation but just awful and now they add gratuity no matter if it’s two dining . I don’t think we will ever return and this was one of my favorite spots

Excellent meal. Still on top of its game after 25+ years. We were surprised at how casual the dress was…we saw patrons with shorts and flip flops. Took away a bit from the atmosphere. Still, one of the best seafood restaurants in town.

Very disappointed. First, it was extremely stuffy inside. Yes, it was hot outside, but please get a working AC. Second, although the waitress wasn't rude, she wasn't overly friendly and was subpar when it comes to what I expect for a very price dinner (4 of us $360).

Fantastic meal and service! We were seated immediately when we arrived (valeted the car when we arrived, it is a $3 fee and a cashless restaurant but they have a card reader for Valet) even though we were 15 min early! Service was prompt and our waitress Jay was the sweetest!! I was able to make some swaps in the seafood platter and add a lobster tail and it was PERFECT. The pow pow shrimp to start was DELICIOUS and the chocolate and heath bar pie to finish the meal was divine! We’ll definitely be back!

Went to AFM on the Saturday of the 4th of July Holiday. Food specials, Chilean Sea Bass and Swordfish were excellent, oyster appetizers were fresh and delicious and the service with J was excellent!

Our server was excellent. The manager stopped by to ask how our dinner was. The oysters were delicious and much a larger than last time. We love the bar area. Have eaten in the bar booths for 25 years. Our one time up at the front window last Month was a disaster. Our server was not polite. Asked About the oysters ( we like them at 22.50 for 6 to be a decent size.) we complained and she just walked away. Our dinner was not okay . My husbands French fries were cold. At this point we just gave up on the dinner. My husband had 4 fried shrimp he was going to take home on his plate. The busman grabbed the plate and ran off before we could stop him. So no shrimp. (He did not ask if my husband was finished.) We are an older couple and could hardly run after him. Our server said sorry about that and gave us the bill. So we gave it another chance last night and we were glad we did.

Amazing! The food was amazing, the service was amazing! I loved everything about it including Rudy the server! Rudy met and exceeded our expectations and gave us a great experience. I don’t live in Atlanta, I’m here on vacation but I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come back! Thank you so much! This is the best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been too! And I have been to tons but by far this is the best one. Thank you!

The food wasn’t as great as a couple of years ago. My son said that his fish was salty, so he didn’t eat it. The waitress was pretty, but she wasn’t able to answer questions about the menu; I didn’t find her helpful when I asked her about the food that the people from the next table were eating. She said that she didn’t know what they were eating, but she didn’t offer to find out. I can tell that things are not the same as before.

Kudos to the chef. The trout, swordfish and King salmon were absolutely perfect. The fresh veggies crunchy but not raw. Would have been a five star dinner if we didn't feel the service a bit rushed.

Food good but pricey. Bread not as tasty as previously experienced--used to be a favorite, now just so-so. Restaurant (main floor especially) is noisy; difficult to have a conversation, especially for group tables. Open Table reservation info says "Valet Parking ($2 per car) and Self-Parking are available at the Atlanta Fish Market," but sign at AFM says Valet Parking Only.

Table was sticky and server did not clean it after saying she would. Most of the meal, we had to navigate the honey, soy sauce, bread crumbs & water that spilled. Bread was AMAZING. They provided olive oil, vinegar & seasoning instead of butter because we are vegan.

Usually the Fish Market is the top sea food place to go but we had an issue with shells being ground in the Shrimp bisque for my partner. Frank the Maitre d' however came over to apologize and tried another bowl only to continue to have same problem. He comp's us free coffee and did not charge for shelled bisque. My skate meuniere was the usually great meal at the restaurant as was the shrimp salad for my partner and the creme bulee was perfect for desert.

This is not the pre-pandemic Fish Market. Portions are much smaller, bread is much dryer/staler, and service is mediocre at best. Not really worth it unless you have a Dine Around card.

Server sat us down at a booth, which I wanted. He told us the specials but they seemed too heavy for lunch. I got a lunch salad with lump crab cake. The crab cake was delicious and meaty but it was on the small side, in my opinion. For two people’s light lunch it was close to $100, which is too high. Still, the ambiance was great and the food was delicious. They had a lot of variety. Parking is $3 valet (no self park). The valet guys were fast and great.

June 2022 - good, fresh seafood. Pre-set menu combinations on menur are nothing extraordinary - best to simple go with the seafood prepared simply. The seafood is typically quite fresh and high quality. Price is above-moderate to high, but not outlandish and snobbish. Two diners (one appetizer shared, two salads, two fresh fish entrees, no dessert, iced tea) = approximately $150 with tip of 20%. Service was very good - but that typically depends on who you get. Last three visits have seen all servers rushing as if 'I have one or two table too many' - but this may be forgiven with the ongoing 'nobody is willing to work/can't find good help' issue. Ambience is not a key attraction. Decor is basic to non-existent. Noise level depends on where you are seated. Bar is isolated in another room/physical space - but restaurant has booths and closely-positioned tables so the noise level depends on the volume of those around you. Unfortunately, larger tables are interspersed among two and four tops so sound/volume will be an issue. In summary - we go here for the food, and are willing to pay more for good quality. Very good seafood, nice night out/not an inexpensive 'let's not cook at home tonight,' and get the right server and you will have a great evening.

We had an early dinner reservation and were seated after a short wait. We were able to chat while enjoying our meals. The only negative was that the floor at our table needed vacuuming. Someone did vacuum near our table but we felt that should have been done before we were seated.
