Saffron serves an eclectic mixture of traditional Indian Cuisine punctuated by the flavors of the Himalayas. Our food stand true to its roots and origin while we source most of our produce locally. All dishes, sauces, naans and desserts are made in house from scratch. We are proud to be the first restaurant in Austin with a dedicated Nepalese menu. Nepal is a land of many flavors, while many of its dishes are indigenous and indicative of its culture and people, while few are inspired by its immediate neighbors, India and China. Our Nepalese menu is a thoughtful mix of both.

Husband-and-wife chef team Bradley Nicholson and Susana Querejazu feature ingredient-forward fare prepared with an elevated approach, influenced by their experiences cooking in acclaimed restaurants around the world. The ever-changing, seasonal menus of Texas heritage cuisine spotlight local farmers and ranchers and reflect the chefs’ celebration of ingredients prepared with an understated simplicity. Located on the storied architectural landmark, Commodore Perry Estate, the restaurant's name is a nod to the estate matriarch Nannie Lewette “Lutie” Perry. The experience melds warm hospitality with the convivial spirit of the property’s Jazz Age legacy, transporting guests to a contemporary garden retreat overlooking lush estate grounds.
