Honestly every time we go to benihanas we never complaint but this time it has been the worse experience ever. Starting off from the server Tiffany to the manager Lazaro. HORRIBLE!!!! Every single time both of them are on duty at this location we get our food an hour later. Literally yesterday Tiffany placed the wrong order for my sushi (mind you 45 mins later) it wasn’t even what I wanted, we sent it back. Still no soup no salad another table that had sat down maybe 20 mins later was getting their salad & soups. Tiffany went from table to table to get everyone sorted & get their order in… EVERY SINGLE TIME LAZARO & TIFFANY IS ON DUTY OUR EXPERIENCE HERE IS HORRIBLEEE!!!! THEY BOTH NEED TO GET FIRED! Make sure you call & ask for who the manager is on duty this way you won’t have a bad experience.

My reservation was at 8:15 p.m., and the chef came to our table only at 9:55 p.m. The place was dirty, and all orders took a long time to arrive to our table. We almost gave up of ordering because the server was NEVER around. Super expensive place for the food and service that they provide.

We went to Coral Gables location. We had the reservation at 9pm, were seated at 9.15pmbut nobody took care of us till 9.46pm once we asked the hostess. They were slow serving and the second floor had an issue with the A/C and they were using a portable machine that made the place not comfortable. Food wasn’t bad, but overall I won’t repeat. We made reservations pointing out that was for a birthday and nobody asked for that. Bottom line, they don’t care about customers!!

Don’t take kids to this place specially during the rain. Hostess are complete a-holes and won’t let you in even after you and your kids (3 and 5 in my case) got wet in the rain because it was pouring and conveniently their crappy valet parking is closed if one of your party members is not present . Even if this is because of the fact that this is because this person is looking for parking and trying to walk back in the rain .Food is good though and chefs and server are very nice. I guess that compensates.

We arrived at 7:15 for our 7:15 reservations. We were seated at 7:45, after waiting for no apparent reason. It seemed to take a long time to get drinks. After a long while, we received soups (4 slices of uncooked mushrooms in a broth) and salads. By 8:45, we had not received the appetizer we ordered, nor was there evidence of a chef. At that point, we decided to cut our losses, paid an outrageous tab for 3 drinks, and the aforementioned soups and salads, and went and picked up dinner at Publix. The noise level was deafening, which made conversation difficult at best. The server seemed nice, the manager appeared annoyed that we decided to leave after waiting 1.5 hours with no food. We never had a chef, apparently they were short-staffed. 0/10. Definitely do not go to celebrate if you are at all hungry or thirsty.

Annmarie was AMAZING. We had a few issues with our drink and appetizer order and she rectified it RIGHT AWAY. My feedback? Your host/hostesses. We waited over 10 minutes for someone at the front. Many team members came and went from the host stand, but no one acknowledged or asked us what we needed. We went to the bar to inquire. A team member came to the front and advised, "She will be right with you." She never came. That same team member eventually came and took us to our seats. Again, Annmarie was BEYOND incredible. She's a GEM. In addition, Ricardo, our chef was equally amazing. Thank you so much.

Don't understand the point of having reservations at 5:30 PM when they sit you at 6:00. I have been going to Benihana for 30 years and never has the soup been black, Order drinks from the bar and didn't get them until after my whole meal was cooked. My daughter order a Strawberry milkshake and had to remind the server 3 times until she got it after the whole meal was cooked for her. Cleanliness of the tables was nasty that we had to wipe it down as it was not cleaned prior to us sitting down. I guess they were short staffed but I will be going to Samurai for now on (I know they own it, but as a whole Samurai is 5 stars).

The quality of food is good. For me the ambience is too light and missing character at this location. I preferred the location in Key West. It was a bummer to wait for our table to be ready and during our meal our rice arrived almost at the end of the meal and also some other drinks arrived with a delay making the evening experience less then expected. It would be great to receive the rice at the same time as the other guest receive their fried rice. I think it is a normal expectation.

Don’t believe Benihana’s availability on Open Table. They always show reservations and when you show up, it’s an hour wait because they over book. Not coming back. Terrible management.

To be honest, this place has gone down the tube! It used to be so clean and the service was on point. Now the bartenders barely know how to make drinks and the bar top is always dirty. The floors are greasy, slippery and often have a film. The waiters are slow, rarely check back to see if drinks need to be refreshed and the experience is a fraction of what it once was.

Overall mediocre experience. We had reservations at 8:15 and chef did not arrive to our table until 9:30. In addition, the hood on our table was not working and it was very hot. I was sneezing from the amount of smoke with no exhaust. We reeked of food after we left and had to shower immediately once we got home. Only positive was that the food was great but a bit overpriced.

When we arrived it was extremely busy we were seated right away the Resturant it self was extremely hot! Like if the A/c was broken when they sat us at the table it was like sitting feet from an oven and yes the grill made it feel that way. The hood was leaking water because of the condensation. Everyone in the restaurant was sweating! They have too many tables that let off heat and the A/c system can not handle it! Not an enjoyable experience Samuri is our go to place from now on. This location is too small and not enough ventilation. Won’t go back.

I think this was the only hibachi option available in the area of Miami we were at. While the prices were comparable to Miami, the food wasn’t anything amazing. It wasn’t anything to be wowed at and they upcharged for brown rice?

Our dining experiences keep getting worse throughout time. I’m pretty sure this was our last visit. Here’s why: -Our reservation time was 7:45 -We arrived promptly at 7:45 -Weren’t seated until 8:10 -Our entire dinner experience ended by 11:15! That’s a crazy, unnecessary dining duration. We ordered as promptly as possible and we’re ready to pay ASAP once we finally ate. -My daughters water glass had a huge crack and chip in it. She drank half of that water without noticing. -My other daughter received the wrong sushi roll twice and waited about 50 minutes for it. -My sister ordered her wine and my daughter ordered her special birthday cup when we placed our drink order and they didn’t get it for over 35 minutes, all while we had our sodas and water. -There was no sprite, so no Shirley Temples for the kids and no Sprite for my husband. -The A/C was not working! I repeat the A/C was not working in the month of August! Between the amount of people at the restaurant and the actual fires from the hibachi tables it was a complete sweat fest. -Honestly, we were all so disappointed and it was my daughters 11th birthday.

I had a reservation for 8:15. The hostess told us she was behind. I asked how long and she informed me it would take 45 minutes to get our table that we reserved. My party and I were all very hungry so we choose to forego the habachi table and sit in the dining area. It was upsetting that we did not get to enjoy the experience we all wanted. And although the food was good in the dining area, it is not nearly as good as on the habachi. They could have informed me about the delay before arriving. 45 minutes is not a small delay.

Reservation for 5:30 pm. Showed up at 5:20 pm. Waited 30 minutes to be seated. Waited another 30 minutes for the soup/salad to arrive. It was extremely hot and loud in the restaurant. Bathrooms were very dirty. Food was just ok. This is the 3rd Benihana I have been to (others in Ohio and Oregon) and thought it was the worst one of the 3.

We had eaten last at the Benihana in Irlando at the Hilton Hotel, aside from looking very run down, we also noted they were cutting back on the portions from our meals. It was a relief that Benihana in Coral Gables provided the hefty portions we’re used to and the quality of the food is still very good. Had a wonderful time and the staff was very attentive. Highly recommend coming there.

Just not the same anymore, grossly under staffed, very slow and hard to get service, even though they were friendly, they did not have a problem with suggesting a 22% tip. The restaurant was not very clean

evening started with a homeless person coming to your table to ask for a handout then drinks took forever had to ask waitress to go to the bar and get them chef was the most boring we have ever had at benihana and over salted everything we will not be back to this location . Very Very disappointed
