It was overall great
We go there a lot, always awesome. For some reason on this night, the service was terrible, took 30 minutes to not get anyone to come to the table. I finally went to the front and asked for a waiter/waitress. Once we ordered, took the sushi a long time to come out, when it did, it came with no soy sauce, that took another 15 minutes... They brought out a Tempura app to make up for it, but no one in our group eats fired food (kind of a waste). The bill was all wrong, had to have them re-do it. That said, the Sushi was great, the food was great. Great place, just a bad night on service.
We love Benihana and go there at least once a month. This time unfortunately the experience wasn't so good. Our waitress, although very nice, seemed to be overwhelmed. It was very difficult to get her attention when we needed another drink. Getting and paying the bill was unbelievably SLOW.....
Also this time the food was at best just so so. Onions undercooked, shrimp no flavor, fried rice also no flavor and the steak was cut as to make it stringy (filet mignon!)
Thank goodness we know this is an aberration. Had this been our first visit we probably would be hesitant to return.

Very clean waitress Nancy was great right on top of drink refills and checking on us... went went early which was great not crowded at all.
We were not served for an hour and a half although we had reservations. we had to ask for soup and salad. one person never got her soup. the food have no flavor at all. the waiter wrote our orders incorrectly so the chef end up messing up the steak orders. He cooked salmon where steak was grilling. We had vegetarians in our group and requested food be cooked separate. Wasnt done. and we had a birthday cake which they did not cut for us and we had to ask for plates and knives and forks to cut the cake. there was oil dripping from above the grill it was our worst experience we will not come back
My wife and I enjoyed our lunch very much. I had shrimp and scallops and my wife had scallops, which were very tasty . The chef and the waitress's were very attentive . We will definitely go back again .

Food was okay, portions were smaller for the price. Great social distancing.

The grill was dirty and the chef used the same towel to clean grill and the utensils..I don't think that's sanitary

Waitress and cook were very kind, helpful and patient with our group of five pre teens.
Everything was superb. I have a shellfish allergy, and it was handled bettered than I could ever expect. I've been to many hibachi restaurants and this is the first time that my food was cooked in the kitchen and not on the grill at all. Most restaurants would just cook my food first. However, at Benihana Westbury they suggested to cook it in the kitchen to assure that in fact my food would not come in contact with any shellfish.
Our chef Santos was amazing. It was my son's 10th birthday and Santos made him happy and excited. Thank you Santos.
This was my first time at Benihana and it was disappointing. I made a reservation for 830pm. I got a call from Benihana asking me to come in at 8pm instead anfld that there will be no problem and I will be seated right away. I get there ansld ended up waiting 40 mins to be seated and then when seated waited 20 mins for a server to give us water. And basically I didnt eat until almost 10PM for an 830Pm reservation. Do better Benihana.
This was not my 1st time going to benihana's for a birthday celebration When I made my reservation I put in a comment that it was the 40th birthday celebration. Also when I arrived mention and reminded to the woman at the front desk that it was birthday celebration. It was the first time the birthday person ever ate at your restaurant so after the food was packed up and the server gave the check with no song, no ice cream or anything It was so disappointed and I didn't want to ask about it infront the person so we ended up Leaving without any birthday celebration just Some food in our stomach and I felt like we were rushed out. Ate there several times this is the worst experience I've had in at your restaurant.
My chef made a mistake in my order. There was a missing food item plus I received an incorrect food item. My chef poorly corrected it. My waitress handed my party the bill when we weren’t given the rest of our 6 course meal options.

Menu needs to be more flexible for example I don't eat seafood I ordered from the five course menu I asked if I could substitute even if I had to pay extra the waitress told me I have to take what it comes with.
It was a family get together. My boyfriend was meeting my mom and sister for the first time. We had a wonderful experience. We will def be going back. Our chef Santos was very entertaining and the food was cooked wonderfully. 10/10 experience.
Pretty standard Benihana experience, our waitress (Joanna) was great.
We had reservations for 8:15 on New Years Eve. We were seated around 8:30. While the chef was cooking n we were eating the floor was being swept. The waitress informed us that the bar was closing at 9:00 so we needed to order more drinks before we were finished with the first drink! Also while we were eating a man started cleaning the grills. He even did the one right next to us n the grill at our table. He poured dirty water right on the grills!! It was disgusting!! They gave us the feeling that we were being rushed. They were even turning the chairs over on the table tops!! The waitress was slow. We waited a good 10-15 minutes to get drinks, she never asked asked if I wanted more tea or anything else. We have eaten here many times not the best experience this time! We will give it another try! We love the food!

Benihana's is definitely the best hibachi restaurant ever. You can't go wrong no matter what you choose to eat.
we were seated on time perfect so far. Hostess seats a family of 5 at the table next to us they were about 2 feet away from my husband. We said something to the waiter, he then proceeded to go over to the family and explained that we did not feel comfortable and they needed to move over one seat. COMPLETELY unacceptable the way the waiter handled it. Then there was a an argument between there party and ours. WE are so upset the way this was handled!!!!
