Flaming Crab Dip
Cheddar, Garlic-Crab Seasoning, Naan Chips
Arrived with plenty of parking. Lot os in the back but entrance is in the front. There is one hostess who is in the front. Nice dining options indoors and out. Wait staff was very friendly and talkative. Order came out quick. Flaming crab dip is good. Wifes muscles took on a little too much of the spicy sausage flavor for her liking. My bayou penne was missing the andouille sausage.
Good seafood dishes. I got the seafood risotto. It was very delectable. The scallops were seared perfectly. The only criticism is that the dish lacked enough protein.
The oysters were outstanding. I would recommend them when in season.
Easter Buffet 2021
Our first buffet back since Easter 2019-probably our last.
Food temps were not warm or hot, no tongs provided on the buffet and people were grabbing oysters and bread by hand. They were out of biscuits on the buffet, there were no lunch “sides” except pasta on the buffet. The floors were dirty, we sat at a table with shrimp shells on the floor. The silverware was dirty and we waited 15 minutes after being seating to meet our server. On a positive note everyone was friendly. The impact of Covid shows and they are not back up to the level they were prior. In 2019 the Easter Buffet was excellent.
Nice Easter buffet, and the way to do it safely! The live music was a bonus.
Loved it! So glad I picked this place for our dinner out during our overnight to Annapolis. The food and service where excellent. Our waitress forgive me I think Stephanie was so professional and kind. Even the hostess Maddie took special attention to my request for a quite romantic table. My girlfriend loved it and I do everything to give her great experiences. The experience at Blackwall Hitch made for a great weekend
Seated right away, took at least 20 minutes before someone came to the table. Once there just giving us water, we asked if he could take our drink order. He did, told us our waitress would be right over. Dropped drinks off said our waitress would be right over. Waitress never came, waiter checked on us again placed another drink order. This time when he dropped drinks off he said he would be taking care of us. Wait for food was slow. The food was good.
I made reservations for outdoors but it was rather chilly so we sat at the high top tables. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious! Only negative feedback I will give is that the hostess said I didn’t show for my reservation via Open Table. But that was cleared up via email.
Great atmosphere near Annapolis! Old favorites with a fresh twist.
Their sweet Chile garlic wings were some of the best wings we’ve ever had!
Food was okay, pasta needed more seasoning on it.
The food was cold. Should offer turkey bacon or turkey sausage for non pork eaters. Bring back bottomless mimosas.
The Cajun Pasta is delicious. Probably the best thing on the menu.
We actually ended up leaving because I didn’t know the brunch was discontinued for Saturday. We came expecting brunch and I was disappointed to not be able to get what I drove over an hour to obtain. I didn’t want the lunch menu. Otherwise it’s a beautiful place and hope to actually eat brunch there one day.
I ordered the wrong thing I should’ve ordered shrimp and grits’s.
Amazing experience! Outdoor dining was awesome and the service and food was great!
We go the BH often when we are in Annapolis. This evening was a date night and a first since the pandemic started. Our waiter was new, which he told us about. He was great until the end. It seems he forgot about us due to a large party he was covering. We waited 10 minutes until a runner came by and we asked her to get our credit card back and sign so we could leave. My husband and i are both in the service industry and wanted to leave a better tip, but couldn’t and only left 10%. Hopefully this was a lesson learned. We really liked him and hope he does well!
My entree was less than stellar. I had bacon basil chicken sandwich. It was quite greasy andbthe chicken was over cooked and the bacon was not crispy.
Our server, Morgan , was lovely. It was quite nice to dine at Blackwall Hitch during Annapolis Restaurant Week.
We’ve dined at the Alexandria location also, and that was equally as nice.
Awesome flaming Crab Dip!!! Service and atmosphere was incredible! Great place for Date Night.
Waiter was terrible terrible terrible!!! Never looked you in the eye , didn’t refresh wine, after opening placed cork in bottle and slammed on table, no table manners at all
Cheese plate and crab dip were awful... cheese not fresh and crab dip was runny , shredded crab
Place was empty music was so loud
Wine selection was awful and prices outrageous!
I regularly eat at Black Wall Hitch and the food is always very good. It kind of reminds me of a California-themed restaurant in Annapolis, MD.
We dined for Annapolis Restaurant Week and had a great experience with excellent service and delicious food. I had the Red Brick Chicken which had a nice light char and was juicy & tasty. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits which is also one of my usual favorites. The dining experience has definitely improved here over the years and I give it a solid recommendation for anyone who wants to try something different for their usual Annapolis favorites.
We were quickly seated at the time of our reservation. Ordered entrees and then waited over 45 minutes for the server to come back and offer more water. After over an hour since we ordered, our food arrived, but still no server with drinks. She came back about 20 minutes after we received our food to refill our drinks. The three seafood entrees we ordered were good but the Duck was extremely small in portion size with two tea spoon sized smearing of mashed potatoes, which by the way were ice cold. I could get more meat in a happy meal at McDonalds for a whole lot less than $36. Overall a disappointing first experience.
I've been here before. This was the first time since the pandemic. The French toast was not prepared well at all. It tasted oily. One of the glasses and plates were not clean. Everything else was ok.
Great food selections. The Chef is always working up something special and unique.
The food at Blackwall Hitch is very good. It is also pretty expensive. The portions are reasonable, but not generous. There is generally no need for a doggie bag here. Prices are on the expensive side for the amount of food served. That being said, the quality of the food is good and the wait staff is excellent.
Our experience was excellent. From the Executive Chef, David, to our Server, Damian, I would highly recommend this restaurant. My saffron shrimp and scallop risotto was prepared perfectly.
I love this restaurant! Always have great experience with the food, service and ambience.
Four of us went for lunch to celebrate Annapolis Oyster Fest. We were disappointed that, in addition to usual raw oyster selections, there were not more cooked oyster dishes available. Two of us tried 1 of the 2 oyster specials: three baked oysters with a flavorful topping which we supplemented with a few raw oysters on the half shell. Very pleasant and helpful server but the kitchen seemed to be slow. There were few customers in the restaurant. (We were happy to have a room to ourselves!) Perhaps the kitchen was preparing lots of take out orders?
