Bocca Di Lupo
We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.
What Insiders Are Saying
If you want to know where to find the best Italian food in Soho is, it’s at Bocca di Lupo.
The homemade pasta was outstanding!
Excellent artisan food. Although not much elbow room at the bar I enjoyed sitting there to watch the bar staff and chefs at work. Great for pre theatre, quick service. Very friendly staff.
This was a lovely place for dinner for a friends 40th. Lovely food and wine and a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Only negative was a charge of £5 per person when we brought our own small birthday cake which seemed excessive.
buzzy atmosphere makes for an exciting lunch venue with excellent consistently tasty food and very good wine list including many by the glass and 500cl.
Waiting staff were excellent. The location is perfect for theatre trips. Food was delicious. Loved the way the menu said which region each dish was from. A busy place but comfortable with a great ambience. Will definitely go again and recommend to friends. Only one quibble. I don't believe that the menu told you that you'd have to wait 40 minutes for the Spring Chicken. Lovely waitress told us and helped with other choices.
As always, unique flavours and tastes of regional Italian cuisine, with very attentive and friendly service. The suckling pig was particularly delicious.
Bocca Di Lupo is a really busy traditional Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho which my wife and I were trying for the first time. The menu choices are classic meals with a modern twist from various Italian regions and I strongly recommend the veal tartare and asparagus risotto. Wine options are very good and reasonably priced too. Finally the service in this small but noisily atmospheric restaurant is excellent
my favourite restaurant bar eating experience in London
Delicious and unusual food ideas alongside classics. Best part are the options for small portions so we had four courses each!
The kitchen bar is one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've enjoyed in a long while. Perfect as a pre theatre restraunt with attentive and engaging staff serving some of the most wonderful food. The varied and ever changing seasonal menu is just a delight. I can not recommend Bocca Di Lipo enough.
This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in London. Pretty pricey and smaller portions but it was totally worth it !
Food was amazing - but the service could be improved. When we packed the whole quail dish (because we ordered too much), the waiter dropped the box (I’m sure food spilled over) and pretended it never happened.
Would recommend for the food though!
Fantastic lunch. Very chilled. Food delicious and service sublime. Would definitely recommend.
We went there for lunch. We were in two and shared 3 small starter dishes and two small size pasta dishes. Every thing was cooked perfectly and was all fresh and yummy! The waitress was very friendly and polite. Relaxing atmosphere.
Amazing! They make you feel like being part of the family. We will come back!
Lovely Mother’s Day meal!
We had a wonderful meal to celebrate mothers day. The food was excellent as was the service. This is our favourite restaurant in London
Amazing food and great service- we were seated at the bar which was pleasant although the table was a little high! But plenty of room and overall a really enjoyable meal.
Amazing! Service was really good. Enjoyed my birthday!
Moisy and chaotic
The classic ' what's not to like'.
Helpful staff, really creative food beautifully cooked.
This is a perfect post-theater Soho restaurant. Despite the modern flourishes, the back room has a nice, rustic feel and the food is absolutely fabulous. The service was chaotic the nice that we were there (not assisted by a fire alarm that no one could figure out how to turn off) but everything came out ok.
Very good food, I would recommend.
Only things to improve:
not enough space at bar counter to have dinner and red wine is served not at the right temperature
In general very good restaurant
The food and service was excellent. The only negative thing was that we were seated at the bar at first. We hadn’t noticed the small print in the confirmation email about that two persons only can sit at the bar. We also had a phone call from the restaurant confirming us booking a table for two and nothing was mentioned about the bar seated in that call either. So arriving at the restaurant we had a very negative attitude from one man. After a not so nice discussion we did receive a table. But the food and service was superb after that.
Love this place - but book early to avoid disappointment
Great food and ambience. Seating at the chef’s table is very tight. They should remove one or two seats to make it more comfortable for everyone.
Fabulous food and very friendly service
Also enjoyed being in a smaller stylish space with less tables than most restaurants nowadays
This restaurante is amazing!
Unfortunately we had some loud drunks beside us and the tables are very close together anyway. But that fairly major issue aside it has maintained its other restaurant standards well.
This is an incredible restaurant. Very Italian and food is very delicious. All pastas are fresh and very inventive. Good list of Italian wines by the glass. We loved it so much that we went 2 nights in a row. Book early. It is hard to get into but you can reserve seats at the bar. We sat right in front of the chef’s and that was fun.
Tables were very small, staff constantly pushing chairs past us and having to push in our seats. Menu was limited - no traditional pasta dishes. Over priced for quality. Hugely disappointed
The food is Good but hostes service is not. There are also better options with better price.
Regular customer , but the menu changes are less appealing than before
Great lively restaurant. Really interesting (and delicious ) menu all delivered with great service
I went for dinner with my daughter previous to the theatre. The table was ready, the waiter was very attentive. They offer to take your jackets to a cloakroom which was very useful because we had several layers due to cold weather. The food took a bit long because they cook everything fresh so bear this in mind. But they warned us about it in case we wanted to change the meals and they came to the table several times to check on us until the food was brought. It’s a trendy place with a nice ambience, good food and good service.
Superb food. Great atmosphere and a menu that reads very well. Will go back!
Service was too pushy and disorganised. We were never left to just enjoy our own company. There was an implication that we must hurry. Restaurant very noisy.
Bocca Di Lupo serves very good food in a great central location. It’s been my go to place for meeting up with friends for lunch or pre theatre dinner since it opened. Unfortunately it’s got busier and busier and you’ve got to book in advance. The best seats are at the bar if you can stand the noise. A friend and I enjoyed a very light early dinner with a glass of good wine for a bargain price. Nothing not to like.
Excellent food and excellent service. The restaurant never fails to offer interesting food and a very friendly atmosphere. I would definitely eat at Bocca Di Lupo again
