BOURBON STEAK by Michael Mina offers guests an innovative American steakhouse and timeless dining experience with a twist. Our culinary team prepares pristine cuts of American and Japanese beef. Using Michael Mina’s signature process, the meat is slow-poached then cooked over a seasoned wood-fired grill to a mouthwatering finish. The bar at BOURBON STEAK features an extensive list of 20th century cocktails made to order, along with an extensive wine and spirits list. Additionally, the restaurant has a cultivated collection of small batch bourbons and whiskies it pours table side on its beverage cart.

As always the service was exquisite. The ambiance was perfect because we had absolutely gorgeous weather for Sunday Brunch on the patio. And everything we ordered tasted absolutely sublime.The highlight of the meal was the 1/2 dozen fresh oysters on the half shell. Three from Maine and three from the Chesapeake Bay followed by the New York Strip Steak. Oh, we must not forget the fries cooked in duck fat. Yumm!

Everything was incredible. The service was seamless and the food was delicious. The wine list is extensive and there is a great variety of options. I enjoyed the filet and it was cooked exactly as requested.

Did burgers in the bar for date night. The burgers are amazing. Drinks (one mezcal seasonal and one standby bourbon) were also great. Definitely recommended.

The service is impeccable; cocktails are some of the best creations in town, and the meat never disappoints. If you haven't been, treat yourself - but know this level of dining comes with an appropriate price tag.

Food was excellent! They were able to recover quickly after our steak originally came out over cooked. They catered to everything we needed or wanted. A party came in a about a 1/2 hr before we were done and they were loud. So loud we knew all the details of one of the patrons upcoming wedding! Nonetheless, the food and the atmosphere was superb and we will be back on the next special occasion :)

Came here to celebrate my birthday and the ambiance and service was amazing. However, I ordered my steak medium and it was very blue, almost rare…I ended up having to send it back and got it back well done which obviously comprised the quality of the steak :( the lobster Mac and cheese needed salt & pepper badly. The atmosphere was great but the food was subpar for me.

We had a fantastic experience. Our waitress was exceptional. She was friendly and gracious and extremely attentive. The food was delicious and drinks as well. It was a great vibe in beautiful surroundings. We are huge foodies and enjoy dining all over. This experience was an absolute delight.

The best part is what comes before the meal. The chef sends a selection of French fries and dipping sauces, and the truffled dinner rolls are the most delicious thing.
My experience wasn’t that great, but I will start with the positives…the staff was great. The drinks were great. But the food- from the Lobster pot pie wasn’t as tasty as expected. It lacked seasoning, and the puff pastry

Our experience was very average. It’s a good restraint, but not great. It was nothing special, and for the price we paid for dinner ($450) for 2 people this was definitely not worth it. Service was ok, not amazing, good cocktails though, and good steak, everything else was average. Extremely noisy and busy. There are resultants in D.C. with similar pricing point but outstanding food and service which is worth paying for (Fiola Mare for example), Bourbon Steak was not worth the money, and I was not impressed and would not come back to celebrate a special occasion there

Best steak I've had in a long time. Service was excellent, from our affable and knowledgeable waiter to the waiters filling out water glasses and clearing the table.
Special dinner with my son who just got accepted to Georgetown. He ordered an $80 steak that we sent back twice because they couldn’t get medium rare right. I’m a vegan and found out the day after that the fries may have been cooked in duck fat. Called management who said that the fries were cooked separately in peanut oil, but I’m not so sure about that. Then when I mentioned the sauces that came with the fries, management confirmed that one was definitely not vegan and contained eggs. Definitely not ok for a restaurant of this quality and I left a good tip on top of a high $ check before I found out about the vegan issue. No manager came to speak with us about having to send the steak back twice and me waiting until my son got his food back to have my meal. Felt bad for the waiter, but not happy about the vegan issue after the fact especially. Disappointing experience given the reputation of the restaurant and management.

It was a bit chilly in the restaurant when we got there and they came around with pashminas for the women! All of the drinks and food were incredible as well. Although my mom said her steak was a bit cold when it came to her. We were a large party of 8 but I would have preferred if entrees came out as they were ready so no one had to eat a cold steak. We were celebrating Father’s Day and my father was absolutely pleased by everything so that was what was most important!
Amazing food! An explosion of flavors - we loved everything we ordered from apps, soup, bread and our main entree. It was a wonderful treat for my husband for Father’s Day.
