Wonderfully friendly staff, fabulous food, beautiful space. Favorite restaurant I’ve been to in the Boston area lately! And easy to get to on the T. Will definitely be back!

The food is OK but definitely not outstanding. Good service and prices are reasonable. Make sure you don't get seated near the door in the winter very drafty.

My favorite spot, period. Food is always mind-blowing, staff is welcoming, and the clientele looks like the rest of the neighborhood.

Dinner at Brassica was a true delight of a culinary experience. This week's menu featured Japanese fusion inspired dishes and we enjoyed every bite. We started our evening with perfect cocktails. Highlights of our meal included the yam bun, which I think was a milk bun with delicious filling and topped with hollandaise; the koji risotto - so simple, and so perfect; and the roast pork dish which included pickled oranges- the perfect mix of tang and sweet. For dessert we had the brown sourdough which was topped with fancy cheddar and sugar. Let me tell you this : whoever decided that bread can be a dessert is my freaking hero. It was perfect in every way.

Amazing atmosphere, super creative delicious food, great service - this place is perfection. We did “the ride” - their version of a tasting menu. Got 7 savory courses and 1 dessert and left stuffed and so happy. Every dish was better than the next. Can’t wait to go back!!

Brassica has been on my list for ages, and today we finally made it happen. The staff was knowledgeable, opinionated, friendly, and generous. The food was ALL amazing, full bodied in flavor, yet nuanced. I ABSOLUTELY recommend the fried chicken ceviche.

Brassica provides a thrilling adventure in fermentation-based food. Every dish is complex in texture and flavors and unlike anything you've had before. We ordered the chef's choice and then we complicated the problem by having two vegetarians. But Jeremy, the cheerful and enormously competent chef, took on the challenge and sent seven distinctly different and utterly delicious dishes to our table, along with a complimentary bonus dish for the one member of our party who eats meat. Of the seven, only the creamy risotto and the dessert, which involved a donut and fermented cherries, were immediately recognizable. But every item was spectacular. We were delighted by the food and by the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.

I have been to Brassica several times and it just keeps getting better and better. The menu is so creative and always changing. Every dish we had was so unique with many layers of flavor and texture. The atmosphere is really fun and lively and it's simply a pleasure to dine there. My favorite restaurant in the Boston area (or perhaps anywhere!). We are so lucky to have this local gem in our neighborhood!

This is my favorite restaurant in the Boston area. Every single dish that I have consumed over three years has been superb and quite unique. The owners and staff are absolutely amazing. The servers take the time to get to know their customers and provide warm friendly service. The music is always upbeat making the atmosphere even more inviting. This is a perfect place for any type of event. I wish I could eat here every night.

This was our fifth(?) visit for dinner. Brassica has never failed us. We resolved this last time that the fact that there is a Brassica close by makes it unnecessary to settle for just "good" in a restaurant. If we are not going to cook ourselves -- i.e. our favorite way of dining -- let's be sure we choose a venue that is delicious and inventive and likely to serve us dishes we would not prepare ourselves. I.e. Brassica.

Wow, wow. Everything last night was so good. A great, cozy date night as we trekked out from our own North End neighborhood to try something different in JP.

Maple miso brussel sprouts, crudo leche de tigres crab, udon with koji-kin chicken, chicken & ginger dumplings, blueberry chia seed chocolate mousse. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

Our server was incredibly nice and on top of everything. Loved the vibe overall.

Bonus: So easy to get to from the Orange line.

Great atmosphere, terrific service, and a good drinks list. The food, however, is slipping. The first few times we ate here, it was excellent. During our last visit, the dishes were good, but heavy-handed with oil (and rouille with almost every dish we ordered!). We'll return because the wait staff is the best and we love the atmosphere, but I really hope the kitchen gives some careful thought to the next menu.

Every time I go to Brassica it's an amazing experience- I am blown away by the unique flavours and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this restaurant at any time of day- they have really mastered it all: breakfast, lunch and dinner! If going for dinner would recommend getting 'the ride' or 'full ride' with alcohol pairings.

I have been a regular diner at Brassica Kitchen and this was by far the best meal I have had there - and I have had some great meals there in the past! We got the Ride - a great buy and a wonderful way to enjoy the talents of the chefs. This time we were served a couple of dishes that were not on the menu - and they were tasty. The koji risotto (on the menu) was to die for - the flavor, texture, creaminess - all amazing. It's good to go back regularly as the menu changes frequently and you don't want to miss out.

Both the front and back of the house were so welcoming and kind and gave a great experience from the moment we stepped in the door. We wanted to showcase our favorite local restaurant to our relative visiting from out of town and you didn't let us down. She talked all weekend about how good our meal was at Brassica. Thanks for being awesome!

I very rarely write a review, but Brassica Kitchen is just an absolutely amazing restaurant. It's a find for the Jamaica Plain neighborhood, but could easily be a destination from surrounding Boston. The staff, the GM Noah, Anna, the amazing mixologists, servers and Chefs are so lovely and make you feel important. The food is just such a mix of amazing flavors and textures. Truly wonderful.

The food at Brassica was delicious, and very different and creative. The service was great and everyone was very friendly and really wanted to please. There was one dish that my husband did not like-too fishy for him, and when we told them that, they brought us an alternative choice right away. We tried their "pre-fix" choice which they call "The Ride" and left it to the chef to decide on our choices. Given this was our first time, this was a great option to test the kinds of things we would like in the future. I would highly recommend Brassica-a fun place to go with a small group of friends too.

I was introduced to this place by friend who raves about it, my experience was nothing to rave about. I was initially impressed by the brother and sister back story and also by the initial personal touch I felt when I called to ask some questions about the menu a couple days before my reservation.

When I got there 15 minutes early we waited 45 minutes to be seated at a dirty table that I had to ask to be wiped clean.

We were also overlooked by wait staff several times throughout the meal... I could not get their attention, especially since we did not have a consistent wait person to ask questions to. The tasting menu was a bit eclectic and I felt that it wasn’t being explained well as the different courses came out.

In all fairness I want to assume if I went on any other night than valentines. I may have had a more welcoming experience. However, I talked this place up to my dates for gigantic let down
