What Insiders Are Saying
Brindille is an upscale French restaurant in River North.
The chef, is one of the best in Chicago and probably in the top tier in the United States. To eat her food is an extraordinary experience for your taste buds.
Outstanding. Gem. Exceptional service.
Very enjoyable evening for my husband’s birthday. Food was delicious and presentations beautiful. We had eaten at NaHa a few times several years ago and were excited to try Brindille.. it did not dissapoint
Hidden gem in the heart of Chicago. Great food with a touch of flare and Panache.
Second experience here and really special. Menu and wine list are top notch. Engaging staff that shares the passion. I dont write reviews but it was that good.
Love the atmosphere, great attention to food, excellent wine. Don’t miss this place! Excellent service as well🍾
Food, service, and ambiance were all fabulous! Can’t wait to return !
We had an exquisite experience at Brindille. From start to finish, every detail was beyond our expectations. Evan guided us through the menu and took amazing care to ensure we had a great time. The cocktails were fabulous the meal was one of the best I’ve ever had. Dessert was divine. I have been raving about Brindille to my family and friends after the wonderful experience we had there. Seriously...if you are reading this review considering whether to go...YOU SHOULD GO. You won’t regret it. We will be back for sure. Very elegant and impressive. Great for a special occasion or romantic date.
The food was delicious and plated in an “Instagram” worthy picture. Our server was very friendly and provided good recommendations.
Fantastic food in a very pretty room. Excellent service and the chef stopped by to say hi. Excellent meal.
We celebrated Alana’s birthday! This was a very special night mainly because our waiter Evan made it an evening to remember! The chef there is fabulous and its a beautiful spaxe, wine list is outstanding!!! However above all its Evan - a star of the show!!!
Food was good but the service was not up to the standards of a recognized chef
Chicago’s dining treasure. Delicious five-course meal, excellent wine pairings, and great service.
Brindille was quite lovely and the food was varied and full of flavor. Highly Recommend!
Well worth every penny! Hands down this is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Everything about it -- from the ambiance to the service, presentation and Chef Carrie's signature French cuisine.
Ate at their previous restaurant, Naha, several times. So, I new Brindille would not dissapoint... & it certainly did not.
Best oysters, squash soup & scallops Ever! Only wish we weren’t running late for the theater and had time for dessert
Definitley will see you next time we’re in Chicago!
I had seen Brindille featured on one of WGN’s newscasts last month, and I thought it looked great and the cuisine delicious, so I booked about three weeks out. My husband and I just were having a date night and loved it! Every aspect of the evening was very fine! The ambience, the food was wonderful, the pacing of service and our server Evan was fabulous! Will definitely go back. Highly recommend!
This is our absolute favorite restaurant in Chicago.
Loved it! Ambiance was superb and the dinner exquisite. Highly recommend going!!
Kareena was exceptional in guiding us through a unique tasting menu accompanied by a wonderful white burgundy. The decor, atmosphere and cuisine was conducive to a lovely romantic meal with my life partner. The service was exceptional and we are truly appreciative of the warm and welcoming evening we experienced at Brindille.
Food was great , started with the oysters for me with the champagne sorbet and my wife had the French onion soup. For main entree I had the lamb medallions and she had steak frites. We spilt a gateaux apple tart. All was spot on with food and staff and they chef was on site netting guests. Most impressive was how as the turned the tables the ironed the tablecloth.
Amazing Experience. Food was great, presentation amazing. Not a disappointment.
Excellent in all respects
This was a meal and service with peaks and valleys. We were told that the meal would start out with an amuse bouche of some sort that never arrived. Steak tartare was wonderful but husband’s soup was quite late and we had to ask for it twice while we sat with the rest of our appetizers. Wine list was wonderful and so were the cocktails. The duck and pigeon were amazing and so was the cheese course.
No one was there to valet our car upon arrival. No one was there to valet when we departed — after we collected our coats and sat waiting, the hostess informed us after 10 minutes that we should have told them in advance so they could call the valet because they go to a different building to stay warm — but the same hostess took our keys in the first place, so why wouldn’t they have suggested that when giving us our ticket? Those are the types of things that separate good service from the exceptional service.
We love Brindille and have dined here several times since it first opened. The food, service and ambiance are so beautifully done and so consistent every time. It’s why we come back again and again. The setting is so chic, serene and intimate. The food is absolutely perfect. And the service is unmatched.
Absolutely outstanding!! The food, the service, everything. This was our first restaurant stop in Chicago and we can’t stop talking about how fantastic our experience was. Would recommend to anyone!
We discovered La Brindille on TV and got curious.
The place is beautiful, the staff is all smile and friendly.
The food is amazing and the wine list is great too.
Great place for a special occasion or to meet with great friends.
We will be back.
Absolute deliciousness. Every dish was incredible, and the ambiance and service were spot on. Bravo!! #therealmisterchitown
While the room was comfortable and noise level good, our particular table was likely the WORST seat in the room; Lighting was negligent and the table was "stuck in there" with no further thought than adding a table for 2. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. However, adding to the disappointing seating was the limited menu offerings. The restaurant added time to the Restaurant Week promotion due to Chicago's recent bad weather, and while that decision was likely meant to be customer friendly, it affected my reason for going. I would have booked another night, if they would have been kind enough to make reference to this on their website. I find this poor communication effort short sighted. The food service was paced perfectly, again I relate this to an engaged waiter. Overall, I didn't feel the value of the meal was there...$450 including a $175 bottle of wine...since I wasn't able to order what I went there for. [Interestingly, I/waiter had a difficult time offering a good wine in the $150 range. The wine pricing was inadequately broken down into 30% under $100, and 50% over $250??????????????] Disappointed would be the overall rating. Bummer.
We were there for restaurant week and our first time at the restaurant and to celebrate my friend's special birthday. The food and ambiance was excellent. our server Evan was rude and was pushing us to order quickly as to turn over the table quickly. I asked if he had given my husband his second glass of wine and he said he did. Than he came back to the table and poured wine briskly in his glass and said "that's on me." I eat slowly and he seemed annoyed at that. The restaurant while we were there had quite a few open tables. . What was most upsetting was that he knew that it was my friend's special birthday and acknowledged it several times during the dinner. However when bringing her the dessert there was no candle for her birthday. I think this is unacceptable at a restaurant of this caliber. I would never want him as our server!! I did report this to the manager at the desk. I would appreciate it if you would express my concerns to Evan. He needs an attitude adjustment for future customers Dr Antoinette Krakowski
Cocktails were nothing special. Service was good and my meal was delicious.
Had restaurant week menu. Every dish was perfect. Cheese plate is fabulous
Top notch! Food, ambiance, wine list and service. However, the noise was so loud at one point.
overpriced at $48 with insultingly microscopic portions. mushroom soup good. desert ok. whitefish lousy. You charge for bread! I believe the message was "don't ever come back" and we won't.
this was our second visit to brindille, and everything was outstanding. it being restaurant week, it was also quite a bargain. the oysters, the mushroom soup, dover sole, and steak frites were perfectly done. we almost never order steak frites in a restaurant, but this was above and beyond; not only was the steak delectable, but the thin-cut fries were the best we've ever had. in addition, the restaurant offered select wines to pair with the dishes; delicious and quite affordable.
our server was also at the top of her game; her service was perfect.
My husband and I love this restaurant. I took my girlfriends and they were so impressed also. A+
Everything was just excellent from the Amuse-Bouche to my Entrée.
I had the oysters..the light vinaigrette brought out the flavor of the oysters.
Lacquered duck was awesome...not too sweet that a red wine went very well with the duck. One of the best preparations of duck I have had.
I was less enthusiastic about my dessert which was des oeufs à la neige or floating islands.
I also was not too impressed with the sparkling wines as most of the cremants were not as dry as I like my "cremates".
My wife and I wnt to Brindille to try their restaurant week menu and we were not disappointed. The dishes were very good and I like the fact that Brindille also had some special wines featured for Restaurant Week. The waiter suggested a Syrah from Washington state that was excellent. It was a great evening out with my better half. I look forward to our return to Brindille.
We always enjoyed our dinners at Naha but had never been to Brindille. This restaurant week we decided to give it a try. We thought the food was excellent but we missed not having a warm crusty french bread with our meal. Just like Naha we always enjoy the wine bottle specials, though the bottle we had contained a lot of sediment. The busing staff was very attentive. Maybe, for some special occasion we might like to try the tasting menu.
The portions are small—more suited to lunch than dinner—although the food is tasty.
