Bristol Restaurant and Bar - Four Seasons Hotel Boston
The Bristol Bar boasts a collection of sought after, small batch production spirits, some of which have been crafted specifically for us. Our cocktails playfully mash up seasonal ingredients and spirits that strike balance and create the perfect sip for any occasion.
Whether you are cozied up by the fireplace, taking in the stunning views of the Boston Public Garden, or casually sipping our maple syrup and cardamom old fashioned at the bar, The Bristol is your venue to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Wonderful dinner (and breakfast the next day). Everything was perfect. Service terrific. Food was spectacular. Squash and lobster bisque is amazing, as are the scallops. For breakfast, try to lemon poppy French toast - - it will make your day.
They took my reservation for 1 PM never informing me that they had an event that required we vacate our table at 2:15. They were serving only a brunch at that point. Very poor customer card and no apologies. Beware
The service is impeccable... True Four Seasons Style!
We enjoyed an amazing window seat and thoroughly enjoyed our time! The ambience was perfect and our waitress was delightful! We will definitely return for our next Nutcracker outing!
Our wedding anniversary celebration at the Bristol room did not disappoint. Our server Wade made us feel pampered from the moment we met him. His suggestions of what to order were spot on, the pacing of our meal, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations which were already high. He recommended the black bass and the cod dishes as entrees. Each was cooked perfectly and brought to our table piping hot. Our table was situated within view of the fireplace. The whole evening was topnotch from beginning till end. We look forward to returning in January for our birthday celebration.
outstanding food, outstanding service and outstanding atmosphere...
As always, excellent! The food (classic burger) is delicious and the lobster roll was yummy. I was here last week and had the same great experience.
Fabulous food (especially the oysters!) and first-rate service.
Our waitress was wonderful.
Absolutely worst four Seasons restaurant I have ever eaten ate Atmosphere skin to a sports bar rude inexperienced staff and management Do not waste your money with emu of good alternatives in city Horrible !
Unfortunately signature burger came out cold as well as fries were over cooked.
I have been eating at the Bristol Lounge for years and years. The past few times it has not been good. The menu is uninspired at lunch - mostly sandwiches, salads and "bowls". No appetizers unless you want raw bar. My husband really wanted a more traditional entree and ordered the chicken milanese. He was served the most overcooked piece of chicken plopped atop some buttered spaghetti...in a bowl. It was badly prepared, badly served and not up to Four Seasons previous standards. My truffle fries were so overcooked they were inedible, although my lobster roll was tasty. And I find it really strange that the only chocolate dessert must be ordered for 6 people. How often are people dining at a 6 top? Aren't most tables couples and 4 tops? Even if you do have 6 - does everyone want to eat the same dessert? Just weird. WE've noticed standards slipping the last 3 or 4 times and yesterday was the final straw. We won't be back. End of an era I guess and very sad to see what was such a reliable place fall down.
Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I am so incredibly sorry to hear about your experience with us. We are so sorry to read that several aspects of your meal did not meet your expectations. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with you if you have a chance. I am leaving my contact information just below, and hope to hear from you soon. Warm Regards, Rachid Hadouche The Bristol Restaurant & Bar General Manager 617-351-2068
The service was excellent for the first hour,
Then there was no service and a long wait for
Birthday dessert , coffee
and bill. The guest left early since she had an appointment
To meet.
October 30 th 1:15 reservation for two
Remains a great room, in a perfect location, and with a classic view out the windows. The food was all good, and our waiter was absolutely OUTSTANDING. Quick, efficient, smart, charming and interesting, with some good advice about the food and good questions about our preferences. We were having a bit of a reunion/celebration, and couldn't have chosen a better place for it.
Absolutely perfect! Made the night so special!
Friendly staff, good drinks and awesome cake!
The Bristol never disappoints! Great food, great view, great staff!
Lots of choices on the brunch buffet, but several hot dishes were cold when I tried them. Had a yogurt parfait with oatmeal/granola on top and the granola was mushy and very unappealing. The dumplings were hot and very tasty. They offered to make us items to order, should have taken advantage, as some of the hot dishes already prepared were unappealing and cold.
This used to be our “ go to “ place before we went to a Boston show. It was always very good food and quality as well as an understanding of pre-theater schedule. We were very stressed this time which put a damper on evening. We arrived at 6:15 pm, drinks cane at 6:45, apps and dinner came at 7:-15. We had to ask for bill with our meal which isn’t fair to anyone. On a positive note we did make the Lion King show on time in our seats by 8:00.
We always go to the Bristol to celebrate our birthdays. It was not up to par. It took 30 minutes to get a cup of decaf coffee. The rolls arrived as we were finishing. My salad was not prepared as I ordered it - they left out the cheese, added anchovies and did not chop it up. When I asked for cheese the waiter brought grated cheese instead of shaved Parmesan. When I spoke to a manager she said she would speak to the kitchen. The whole lunch should have been comped.
The standard is high for everything from service to good to atmosphere. Elegant, quite, large tables-- a great place to meet and talk.
Delightful brunch with all the possible options needed. The brunch was sumptuous and service very fast. Our server was very thoughtful and remembered it was my sister’s birthday and gave her pancakes (the one thing not at the brunch). All the food was fresh - bacon was crisp, fruit was ripe and there were many meat options. The shrimp were massive and delicious. A really beautiful meal - will come again for a special occasion!
The Bristol did a great job on the birthday front, and most of the Sunday brunch buffet was tasty. At such a high price ($100 pp + $40 to park!), we anticipated some combination of a greater variety of shellfish (lobster?), spectacular desserts, music (even piped in), a mimosa or Bloody Mary thrown in, and/or an observed dress code. None of this was there and the unfilled room had quite a
Range of ripped jeans and t-shirts. I guess the hotel has decided that Sunday Brunch is not worth the effort.
Agreed. But disappointing!
Truly surprised that birthday was not acknowledged as it was stated in Reservation
We have had many great experiences here in the past (most recently in June 2019), which is probably what made this an extra- disappointing experience. We had at least 5-6 wait staff attend to our table over the night, yet service was painfully slow - in spite of the restaurant being fairly empty. The food was edible, but not memorable. Our party of 7 was seated at a sufficiently large table, yet the nicer club chairs were at many of the empty tables around us, and our table had the simpler banquet-style side chairs. We did not complain, assuming they would be filled by the time we left, but they never were. Not sure we will go back for quite some time, sorry to say.
I like the Bristol Lounge, but I think the food is going down hill. The waffle used to come with berries, but no more. The omelette used to come with real new potatoes and cherry tomatoes, but now comes with salty square potato-things out of a freezer bag. The salads are expensive but aren’t very filling unless you add a protein that doubles the cost. I’m really not going to pay over $40 for a lunch salad! I used to like it a lot but it is changing, and not for the good.
I love the bristol burger and for years was happy to pay 25 dollars for a burger and fries. Sadly, the burger is now about 40. dollars so it's not as tasty. Lunch for 2 adults and 1 teen. (no alcohol) Ordered 2 salads (one topped with 3 shrimp for an extra 21 dollars) 1 appetizer, 2 burgers. Cost 220. which includes 20% for lovely waitress.
Food wasn't good especially when your paying 40 dollar for a small bowl of pasta and 6 clams.
I didn't finish the pasta...
Super et une expérience à revivre
Outstanding service and food!
I used to enjoy this restaurant but it has gone downhill. No more tableclothes. Menu is very limited and food is very mediocre.
great place for business or fun get together. it's an elegant place but casually and comfortably so. while it's not economical, it's not over priced. very satisfying.
Conchita is absolutely amazing.
I really think the food presentation could be better. I think it’s a little tacky to not have table cloths covering the folding tables.
The most friendly servers at any restaurant in Boston. Very personable even to the children. Food was outstanding. The atmosphere was upscale, glad we went on a Saturday for brunch before leaving Boston!
Great service as always
Had a fabulous dinner at the Bristol. But we have never had a terrible meal at a Four Seasons Restaurant. It reminded us of our favorite Philadelphia restaurant, The Swan also at the Four Seasons. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. The poached halibut was prepared perfectly and the vegetables served with the dish were tremendous. Our server was fabulous - very friendly, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about the various entrees. A former resident of Jupiter, FL, she is definitely an asset to the restaurant and what my wife and I expect from Four Seasons employees - totally first class. I would highly recommend the Bristol to anyone looking for a great dinner in Boston.
Service was incredible; our waiter was personable , thoughtful, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was great. They surprised us with a candle on sorbet for my daughter’s birthday. (She can’t have dairy and they were quite careful.)
A lovely spot for lunch with my daughter and my niece.
Excellent food and great service, as usual, and will go back! Recommended for pretty much any occasion.
One of the best locations in town. The bar is terrific and comfortable. The new menu is not preferred compared the the last selections but good nonetheless. A must stop for us each time we are in town.
