Bristol Restaurant and Bar - Four Seasons Hotel Boston
The Bristol Bar boasts a collection of sought after, small batch production spirits, some of which have been crafted specifically for us. Our cocktails playfully mash up seasonal ingredients and spirits that strike balance and create the perfect sip for any occasion.
Whether you are cozied up by the fireplace, taking in the stunning views of the Boston Public Garden, or casually sipping our maple syrup and cardamom old fashioned at the bar, The Bristol is your venue to create memories that will last a lifetime.
This has been our go to place for years. Terrific staff and food is consistently fresh and good.
My companion and I were there to celebrate his birthday, a Saturday night, 5 p.m. The food was not quite up to par, especially the appetizers were not the usual quality. Entrees, however, were quite good. As the restaurant filled our very nice waiter simply became a bit overwhelmed, they seemed understaffed. As a result the service was not excellent, as you would hope at this price point. Will try again another time, as our past experiences were much better.
We were celebrating a family birthday with friends. The food, service and ambiance were wonderful.
Quiet, attentive service, and lovely views of the Public Garden and Boston's passers-by. Perfect for business meetings, brunch, or meeting friends.
Excellent service, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The couch tables will keep me coming back. The Bristol burger is the best I’ve ever had
Wonderful spot for a special occasion, drink, or meeting for business.
Very nice time. Beautiful dining room. Excellent lunch salads.
The only thing we didn’t love was the cauliflower app, but it was okay.
We came here for NYE. As usual the food and service was excellent. Brought our 3YO and they were great with her. The prices reflect that of a classic Boston hotel restaurant, but the quality is there. My recommendation is the NY strip with a side of wild mushrooms. Hands down one of my favorite meals in the city.
Sunday brunch not to be beat... fresh, delicious and of course four seasons service!
I had lunch with my granddaughter before the theater. She is only 6 but they treated her exceptionally. She has an egg allergy and they were quite accommodating - even cooked her pasta during the afternoon even though it wasn't on the menu. Thank you!
Very good service, ambiance, good. Recommend. Sunday brunch is excellent as well.
This is my 3rd trip to the 4 Seasons Bristol Restaurant. It's pricey, but for a special occasion, or a dinner pre-theater, it's great. Beautiful inside and out (view of park), the bar is set high. On this occasion the biggest disappointment was the bread - totally uninspiring. The butter was delicious but the bread did not measure up. My friend had the crispy duck with figs & I had braised short ribs. Both dinners were very good, with adequate portions. It just wasn't amazing - which is what we expected. We told our server we had theater tickets - she was very good about making sure we stayed on schedule. After the performance, we returned to have a nightcap at the bar. Overall a lovely place, but I think next time, we will look for a different dinner location, where we might have a more inspired meal.
Was there for lunch. It wasn’t crowded. service was good until we got our food; then we never saw our waitress. plates weren’t cleared. I had to ask the host. Finally got check and again waited to actually pay. I expect better from Four Seasons.
Several things were disappointing. First, the restaurant was cold. Then there was the really slow and inattentive service. Finally the entrees were served cold and the food itself was poorly presented. There was nothing positive about this dining experience and we will avoid Bristol in the future.
Actually very disappointed. Service was below average. Waited 10 min to even be acknowledged. Made reservations a month ago and was offered last table before restroom. Noise was a problem with constant bass in the background but no music. Menu was very traditional . Nothing inspiring. Might be a nice place to stop by for tea after shopping but would never go back for a planned dinner. Very not special. Would go to Mistral 10 times before I’d consider going back to Bristol Lounge.
Poor service. Too long wait for food.. at least 45 minutes and waiter no where in sight.
I usually enjoy this restaurant and bar very much, but somehow the holiday schedule and crowds got the best of a usually well run four seasons customer service experience. Our server may as well have been serving at a diner. She clunked our plates down. Reached across people to serve and clear, was rather short with us. I was a bit shocked. The food was good as always, but the service destroyed this experience. Which was supposed to a be a special dinner before going to see the Nutcracker. I do expect more of a Four Seasons property.
Excellent, as always!!
Decoration during the holiday season are fantastic too!!
Great Holiday vibe!!!
Love the Bristol lounge! Great vibe.
This was my first time dining at Bristol Restaurant and the food was wonderful (I am very picky). Had a lovely lunch with my adult daughter. Towards the end of our lunch it got extremely busy, so our large leftover package got misplaced. We would have loved to have enjoyed that later on, but what can you do.. It really was a great dining expereince.
The Bristol is home to the best burger in Boston. We love to sit by the windows especially during the holidays when the trees are decorated.
Elegant dining but, perhaps surprisingly, not at all stuffy given its location inside the Four Seasons.
My wife went for dinner after a late-afternoon show (around 6:00 pm). The restaurant was just starting to fill. The wait staff was helpful with both the dining menu and especially the wine list.
The Bristol Restaurant made for the perfect capstone on a great day.
Five ladies went bridal gown shopping in the morning and over the Bristol for lunch. We were greeted and brought to a wonderful table overlooking the park. Glasses of champagne all around, followed by an amazing meal from a burger to a salad to a breakfast. Everyone has happy and celebratory. We made an excellent choice in the Bristol for this very special event.
Very nice, elegant place for lunch and/or brunch. Usually not loud, but a friend and I were seated next to what turned out to be a very loud table of ten, which made it very difficult to carry on a conversation. Probably a one-time occurrence. At least I hope so because this is a fave for me. The "Mer for Two" was especially creative and delicious.
Was there for annual holiday lunch@ the Bristol with friends. We shared a lovely table near the fireplace. Food was fabulous as usual. Service by Adam was superb! Although a little noisy, we can't wait to return next year.
Very expensive, but yummy. With no alcohol, my burger, grapefruit juice and tip was $50. Add to that the $34 parking fee and it's a very pricey lunch.
The Bristol was very nice as usual, the food is always excellent and well prepared, nouvelle cuisine, the service as usual extraordinary.
The Bristol in the Four Seasons is an icon you can't go wrong it will be a great experience overall, and will certainly go back. Actually we will be there for New Years Eve.
Holiday brunch before theater
We have going to the Bristol Lounge for lunch before Christmas Pops for years.
Things have changed. The service was decent but everything else was below par for this establishment.
They brought out bread with no dishes. We waited 45 minutes for the entree and it was cold.
We had a reservation and waited 10 minutes just to be seated.
Not going back! We will find a new place next year.
We had reservations for breakfast at the Sunday Brunch. The spread and multiple options was absolutely fabulous. However, I don't consider $75 for breakfast to be a good value. If the options and price were scaled back, we might consider returning; but if not, the experience would only be for a very, very special occasion, not my go-to place for brunch.
Great option for late-night dining. We had reservations after the Nutcracker at 10:15; full menu was still available. Very active Bar scene; food was excellent and expertly prepared. Bartenders may need refresher on how to pour some drinks; I requested a cordial, B&B neat, and it came chilled in a martini glass instead of straight out of the bottle in a snifter. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Too noisy. Disappointed that there were no table cloths. Food not wonderful as one would expect.
Surprised at the poor service for lunch. After we were seated, it took a solid 10 minutes before wait staff approached our table and when our server did finally appear with a pitcher of water, there were no apologies or acknowledgement of tardiness.
What also surprised and upset me was the adoption of a new “at-table” transaction for paying the bill. Characterizing it as “European” did not minimize the awkwardness and indignity of settling the bill with a miniaturized cash register at the table. So off-putting. What is particularly obnoxious is that I have to decide on the tip right there in front of the server — so inappropriate and again, awkward.
Poor showing, Four Seasons. I expect much more class from your company.
Terrific wait staff. Freida was above and beyond.
We will request her every year!
Very congenial with children
In our party.
Good but not quite up to par- good, but not presented well.
We had a delightful birthday celebration for my 19 year old daughter. She loves to sit in front of the fireplace and we had the perfect table. The food was delicious, loved the evening. At the end of dinner we took some Christmas photos in front of the teddy bears and Christmas trees. It was a wonderful night!
Hade a wonderful dinner with no noise!!
Great place. However we had to wait nearly 30. Invites for our table even though we had booked the table several weeks in advance.
Had lunch before a show at the Colonial Theatre.
It was our 34th anniversary.
