The food was very good. This was our second visit there and the food was just as good as the first. The service however was not great both times. We had the same waitress both times. She is very forgetful, we had to ask several times for the same things or ask someone else anfter waiting 10+ mins for something that was asked for more than once. The wait to place an order for drinks, apps and dinner was very long.

The food and service were excellent! My husband had the soft shell crab appetizer and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was friendly and checked in on us frequently making sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely visit Bud’s again!

Two things: The bread should not be toasted for the hot roast beef sandwich and the sangria needs to be darker and more alcohol added. Other than those two things, it was stupendous!!

Bud’s is definitely one of mine & my husband’s favorite restaurants. The food is always superb, service is excellent and staff is friendly.

Bud's is great ! The food is always super and the owner is probably the nicest owner I have ever met !! Try anything and you will like it but the specials are always the best .

Bud's at Silver Run is a hidden gem in Carroll County, Maryland!

The food is always good with good service. You can get a light meal and or a hearty one off of the specials. Great place weather at the bar or seated in the dinning room.

Have always had wonderful experiences at Bud's. Can't wait to go again!

Excellent food. Professional staff. I was AWESOME that we were served as it was an Anniversary celebration, and we didn't know Bud's was closed on Monday. We will DEFINITELY be back again. Thanks.

My wife and I dined on a Saturday. We did make reservations shortly before going. We were greeted and showed to a table immediately. Our waitperson was fun and knowledgeable. We paired a great bottle of wine with some mouthwatering steaks, recommended by our server. The chef even came out and talked with us for a few minutes. Can’t say enough about the staff. Very clean restaurant with COVID safety measures in place and enforced. Get out and eat at this great establishment!

We love, love, love Buds!!! We moved a little farther away a few years ago so don’t get to visit as often as we’d like. Buds never disappoints- fresh creative meals, excellent service and great ambiance! Can’t wait till our next visit!

Do not judge the appearance of an older building. Very clean. Best salmon we have every had. Crab cakes were good and staff was amazing. Recommended the seafood eggroll. Food came of hot and fresh. Save room for dessert. Made in house and will be returning. Fantastic first experience.

First time dining at Bud’s on the fine dining side. Wonderful experience. The highlights were their “cream cheese poppers” and egg roll appetizers.

I highly recommend this little gem located north of Westminster, MD! While this is a small venue (probably larger when the bar and outdoor areas are open), the ambience was perfect! The decor is clean and classy, with thoughtful additions like an etched glass pane between an open window frame and the foyer to prevent breezes and noise from affecting guests sitting at nearby tables. The cocktail I had was delicious as were the wines my father and I had with our lunch. The food was some of the best I've had in recent memory --so often even upscale restaurants have food that is mediocre...not the case at Bud's! The scallops were perfectly seared and even the spinach was really tasty. Our server was delightful, too. I cannot recommend Bud's enough and am already looking forward to my next visit. One last note...I have not gone to many restaurants given COVID-19, let alone taken my 85-year old father out to eat. Bud's has a strict mask policy and it was evident that they take sanitizing and social distancing seriously.

Food was good, unfortunately service was very slow. It felt like we were only 1 of a few couples in the restaurant. Seafood sautée was great. Roast beef was good. Food was good. The service was really disappointing.

Went for lunch. Not crowded. Had a full menu. We had appetizers and sandwiches. Food was impressive.

Well worth the drive! Highly recommended for any date night with friendly service and excellent quality food!

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, the best we have had in a long time.
The Lobster bisque is scrumptious with lots of lobster stirred in.
The spinach salad was a winner.
The Veal chop was perfectly done along with the risotto.
The chef owner and wife are super friendly and out to please.
First visit but not the last. We will definitely drive 45 minutes to return. !

What a wonderful Valentine’s Day - the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect.

I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts (they were on the special of the day). We ordered the crab egg rolls - yum!!

Valentine’s Day was our first time visiting Bud’s. The outside of the building doesn’t look like much but the inside is beautiful and cozy. The house is almost 200 years old.
The staff was very friendly and helped with food choices since we had not eaten there before. The cream of crab soup was amazing and so was the Rockfish and Rib Eye steak. Our Server was friendly and watchful without being intrusive. We never felt rushed and stayed almost 2 hours enjoying ourselves and our meals! Kudos Bud’s !! We will definitely be back.

We went to Bud's at Silver Run on Tuesday, 01/26/21 to celebrate my birthday. I had Cream of Crab soup as a starter. If you have not had Bud's Cream of Crab, what are you waiting for? It's the best in Maryland, hands down. My wife and her mom had the Roasted Brussell Sprouts and those were delicious as well. For the main course we all got the Special of the day, Veal Rockefeller. What is Veal Rockefeller you may ask? Well, if you have ever had Oyster Rockefeller, imagine taking that topping (Spinach, cream and bacon sauce) and slathering that on tender Veal. Cooked to perfection and delicious, I must say. That's the thing about Bud's, you can always count on creative cooking that you will not find anywhere else in the area. Our table enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and I had a few beers. Nugget Nectar was on draft, one of my favorites. We took dessert to go as we were stuffed. They make the best bread pudding, just saying!

Service was impeccable as usual. The owner, Ken came out to ask how everything was which is always a nice touch. We always look forward to going to Bud's and are happy to support this local restaurant. They offer both a fine dining area and a bar that is more casual. We have dined in both and you can get the same food in either area. Food ranges from Wings/Burgers to higher end like the Veal or Elk Chop or even duck confit or blackened Rockfish. Crab Cakes are some of the best as well!

If you get an opportunity, I highly recommend checking out Bud's at Silver Run. Life's short, do this today!

The food is spectacular and the service is great. I plan on trying everything on the menu but it's hard for me to get past the crabcakes because they are just so good. They will even make the crabcakes gluten free if you call ahead. If you want a quiet spot to gather with your bubble, the dining room is the place for you. If you want a little excitement, the bar while there is a game on is the place to be. Now is the time to vote with your wallet for the businesses you want to remain in business. Treat yourself. Support the economy. Make a difference.

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Bud’s The food was excellent, especially the creme brûlée and the crab cakes. They had a nice assortment of handmade cocktails from their bar and I really enjoyed the red sangria. I like the feel of the restaurant as it is fancy enough for a special occasion but also it’s perfect for just a night out with family.

Always excellent reception and excellent food. Comfortable place to enjoy a meal.

We had a lovely lunch. The dining room was so pretty, but empty, so we sat in the bar. Very nice atmosphere. Good service. Good food. We particularly love the canine greeter, Lilly! She was too sweet. We will be going back.
