Great food, great service wonderful birthday party for my wife!
Good food, but the wine prices are ridiculous. Cheapest bottle is over $30 and the $34 merlot we bought retails for $11 at Total Wine. So, I don't mind paying double for the wine, b/c restaurant has to make a profit, but triple?
Welcoming and attentive to seating needs. Service is impeccable!
Party of two with reservations made well in advance. All dressed up for a nice Valentine dinner. Taken to a table for four way in the back of the restaurant near the exit door when there were plenty of tables for two in other areas of the restaurant. Waiter seemed to want to rush us through our meal -- asked us if we wanted to order our entire meal when we ordered our drinks. We said we weren't in a rush. Ordered drinks. Ordered salads (no salad forks), hadn't even finished the salads before the entrees came. Didn't get drinks until we were well into finishing up our salads and after asking where they were. Didn't clear the salad plates so there was a space problem on the table. Had to hold our salad plates up off the table so the server (not the waiter) could put the entrées down. Although the restaurant wasn't that full, service was not up to par. We've been there many times before over the years. Not that impressed this time. Need to train staff better.
Belated Valentine's Day dinner for my wife and I. Table was ready when we got there, staff provided bread and water in the first minute and our server appeared within 3. The bread was crunchy and tasty, as was the olive oil with herbs. The Menu was not overly expansive, but filled with good and interesting choices. My wife tried the lobster risotto with butternut squash. I tried the boar pasta with peppers, vegetables and bucatini pasta. Both were excellent, arriving pipng hot and of good portions (made for great leftovers). The service was attentive and timely. The wine selections were appropriate for the menu items and very tasty. All told, a very enjoyable evening and we will return.
Valentines dinner with family.
We love Cafe Mezzanotte. It’s our go-to place for special occasion dinners. Love the atmosphere and the farm-to-table freshness of all the food.
We enjoy eating in the Lounge for a date night. The Oysters Rockefeller are outstanding; we vowed next time to just get four orders of those, along with a salad and nice white wine or Prosecco. The Seafood Mediterranean is always a winner. My sea bass was a huge piece and delicious, although too under-cooked to eat the (cool) center. Took it home to reheat and cook through the next day. Great vibe in the Lounge, good for people watching and noise level low so you can actually have a conversation. The jazz playing (recordings) in background was interesting and right touch to off set the TV basketball (which I know some patrons really like seeing). Thank goodness they have the sound off on the three TV's.
Had a great time at this restaurant. The food, service and ambiance were amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family
Very good service, food was awesome, atmosphere was beautiful and romantic, price was decent for the amount of food you received. The place was just remodeled and looked wonderful.
The service was very slow on Valentine's night. We were crowded in a very small space and practically eating dinner with the couple next to us.
Server was polite but inattentive, and had to be reminded a couple of times for the same requested items. Wine glass was barely filled to 1/4 glass. Scallops were cold on Surf & Turf Tower but, overall, our meals were good.
HEY it's a wonderful and friendly place and we would recommend it
Our server John S was outstanding. The place was extremely busy since it was valentines night but the food was excellent. Could of made a meal of the crispy Brussels sprouts and the fresh bread. Can’t wait until our next visit.
Went for Valentine’s Day and requested bar area because it is a little less formal. Was placed with wife at a tiny bar high top that was about 19” wide and about 24” from the person next to me. I did not mind the bar chatter because we chose that area but would have greatly preferred a table away from the bar (it was five feet from us as we were sat along high bench seating at a high top). Food was good - steak a little undercooked...but tasty. Just felt like o was eating in lower Manhattan where seats and space are premium.
Had a fantastic Valentines Day here! Loved the brussel sprouts and octopus appetizers and the sea bass entree. The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious and open. A somewhat hidden gem along route 2!
Beautiful restaurant with a great menu and beverage list. It was the first time I had wine flight - very nice. The lobster bisque was superb and seafood pasta dishes were delightful! Sad, no room for dessert. A great place for any occasion.
The food is great. The ambiance is somewhat average, and not so spacious. I enjoyed my dinner anyway, overall i will give it a 4. I can see a potential little room for improvement on other aspects beside the food.
Server was polite and energetic, but could not multitask, which led to longer wait times between ordering food or additional drinks, as well as waiting to receive/pay our check. The main reason why we did not order dessert since we didn't want to wait that much longer. It was busy, but he would walk right by and only address/serve one table at a time. That being said, the food was fantastic and if it wasn't for the slower service it would have been all 5's.
Attended to support the fundraiser for Good Neighbors Group.
John was our server ~ friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
We all loved our meals...I had the filet mignon, luscious.
We ordered 2 apps, split a sale and an entree. Our waiter said he would bring them out in courses to spread out the evening. We were about half way through the apps when the salad arrived. The entree arrived while we still had apps and salad. After I said something they offered to take our entree back to the kitchen to keep warm.
Food was delicious and the server was top notch!
Such a great date night! The service was amazing for one. The waiter was always checking on us, but not rushing us. The pinwheels appetizer was delicious, and our meals were even better. They were large portions, so we got another meal out of it for the next day. We'll definitely be returning.
Dependably good. Reasonably priced. Best fine dining option in Severna Park.
Great food and service! Love this place! Would go again.
Food is awesome as always. A bir pricey but worth it
Always a pleasure to dine at Mezz. Delicious food, terrific music, great people.........thank you!
Food was excellent and quieter than most restaurants.
Overall the food was very good, with the exception of the brussels sprout salad which lacked flavor . desserts were very good though I missed the butter pecan ice cream !
get the ossa bocca, best farm to table in the area, great wine list too
Wow! Best meal we have EVER had!!
Outstanding is the best way to describe our experience. We were there for my wife’s birthday and truly had a wonderful experience, the staff was wonderful and the food was incredible. We will definitely be back!
GREAT FOOD and extraordinary service. Creative cuisine and well sized portions. Really really good lasagna. Flawless ervice. Left very satisfied both in terms of food and overall dining experience. Four stars straight through from me!!
As always this restaurant delivers a high quality meal with a creative menu. It has always been consistently good. Service is excellent as well.
Aaron our waiter was outstanding!
they need to pay more attention to special requests like sauce on the side
I had the beet salad and the risotto al funghi. Both were absolutely delicious. The beet salad had a beautiful array of colors and textures and the flavors all complemented each other very well. It was the first time I tried risotto and I was blown away! I will definitely return for another meal.
Service and food were excellent. We had a Caesar salad, Sea Bass and Mushroom Risotto - yum! Decor is sooooooo improved - it’s fresh and welcoming.
