Carmine's - 44th Street - NYC
Absolutely beautiful and our waitor was brilliant ,great value all around
The service here is superb and would definitely come back but with friends or family since they only offer family portions. Buca Di Beppo have nothing on this restaurant as the food quality is fresh.
They don’t like Kids!
The hostess take more than 30 minutes to find a table to us, and everyone who arrived after us was sat down first.
Very bad recepcion.
The food and table service were great.
We ate before going to see a show. We had a Great time. My wife and daughter totally enjoyed it.
We had an excellect dining experience! We were celebtating out of town family visiting...it was a great choice!
Great place for a hungry crowd!
Carmine's is one of our favorite restaurants in NYC!! The atmosphere, the food and the service are all fantastic. A reservation is a must and even then be prepared to wait a little. Most tables are large parties so people tend to linger a little longer, but you never feel rushed to leave. Come hungry!!
A reservation is the way to go!! Busy Saturday night, 8pm reservation. We were sitting by 8:05!! Food was amazing as always. Love Carmines!!
Delicious, accommodating, amazing crowd of people, waiters and waitresses 5 star service, order the zucchini fries, titanic dessert. Special ordered the grilled chicken parmigiana. Outstanding dinner and time
everything was perfect. i went to NY and made a reservation a month ahead and was taken AT MY RESERVATION TIME which was so nice even though it was busy. the amount of food and prices was not even too expensive. i think everything was perfect. It was my boyfriends birthday and it was a good one thanks to carmines
The food was great. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Unfortunately the service was poor. We were not even offered dessert or never checked in on us.
Made a reservation to have people who came after us be seated before us. We also waited past our reservation and had to say something to the individual by the door before we were finally seated. I always love Carmine’s but the experience at this particular one was not up to par.
Excellent food- family style! We always book Carmine’s when we visit NYC!
Me and my partner had a fantastic meal at Carmine's and will defo revisit on our next visit to NY.
Portions were small compared to prices! Tonys Di Napoli is much better quality and larger portions for less money! Veal tasted like it was fried the day before and had cheese thrown on it and heated!
The food was not good at all. It was cold, salty and the bread was cold and hard. For the money spent I was so disappointed
Will never go back
WAY too crowded. I felt bad for people with tables surrounded by people waiting for their ore-theatre dinner.
We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation. Staff was discourteous, short and dismissive during this time, and it left a bad taste in our mouths. There was no acknowledgement of the birthday we were celebrating, which I included in my OpenTable reservation. Once we were finally seated, the wait staff did an adequate job and the food was good. However, the severe mistreatment we received prior to be seated has severely affected the rating.
Delicious food and great service! This is a must for us when we visit nyc
Awesome food and service. Food is so delish.... great menu.
Always the best place to go when I come back to town. Thank you all again for the hospitality.
Had an exceptional experience. Carmines brings to life the true Italian family-style al a carte dining experience! Highly recommended!
Food was very good but my waiter was unattentive. I had to ask for the menu multiple times. And he was very rude when we ask for boxes for our leftovers.
Drew was awesome and very helpful. The food was really good. We really enjoyed our experience.
Great spot to go for a meal with family and friends....large portions of solid Italian food. BEWARE the specials as they are significantly more expensive than the menu items.
Excellent lunch before theater. The Best Buy is with 4 people as meal served family style and 1 meal serves 4.
Had a reservation at 11:00 pm and were seated right away. Wait staff was very nice and helped us with suggestions. First time to NY and will for sure coming back to eat at Carmine's.
Great food, service was good
food was just magnificent, tasty, and portions huge. me and my group did not leave hungry that is for sure
Weekend getaway with family. Excellent service, excellent food! Huge portions. The eggplant was amazing!! Busy, busy, busy place.
Although the seating was somewhat cramped, the food was delicious!!!
I have but one criticism. Our party of 7, 6 adults and one child had reviewed the menu prior to our visit. We knew what the family size portions were and based our order on that. After taking our order, our waiter felt they we needed a third entree. He felt that lasagna was a good choice. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish our intended order and the Lasagna never got touched. It was such a waste and because we didn’t have a refrigerator in our hotel we were unable to enjoy it as a leftover. This won’t deter us from returning to this awesome restaurant. But I will be firm in what our order will be
Thank you for this opportunity
Everything was terrific. Fabulous waitress
Best Italian food we have ever had. Atmosphere was great.
Awesome! Family style with great atmosphere! We all loved it! Sooooo much food!
Sat down on time of reservation and food is awesome
We were a large group celebrating a birthday. Food was very good, drinks very overpriced and had to wait quite awhile for our table even though we had a reservation. The staff was getting a little annoyed at us for being in their way while we had to wait for a delayed table to be ready.
When we walked in there was a sea of people waiting. I approached a podium to check in for my reservation and was told it was on the other end of the restaurant, where the exit is located. How that makes any sense is beyond me. I had to make my way through everyone waiting to be seated to get to the host stand. I checked in and was told it would be a few minutes. No problem. I work my way through the crowd, back to my family and then get yelled at by their staff to get off the step. This place is so packed I am astounded the fire department allows them to operate like this as there is no concievable way everyone could safely exit in an emergency.
While waiting only about 10 minutes, I received an email from OpenTable asking how my experience was-I had not even been seated yet. Suspecting that they cancelled my reservation I headed back to the host stand. They claimed they called my name, but no one answered. It was so noisy it is impossible for guests to hear their name being called.
The host was very nice. Our server was extremely rude and abrupt. When asked if we could order pasta without the sauce, he responded with an abrupt, "no." He gestured for us to hand him our plates whenever he cleared the table. I really have no problem passing a plate, but use your verbal skills and ask-that was really strange and uncomfortable.
The food was decent, but definitely nothing to rave about, other than the garlic bread.
I would not recommend this restaurant as there was absolutely nothing that set it apart from most other Italian restaurants in NYC.
