With the cool silverware brushing at your fingertips, that favorite bottle of wine you’ve been hiding in your cellar and our unique flavors within your grasp, all you have to do is dig in and enjoy. Our staff will ensure your experience with us goes even better than expected because when you’re at Chef Fredy’s Table, you’re family.
From the moment we sat down our waiter, or should i say the leader of the team of waiters, that worked with us during our dinner was amazing! He was energetic, funny, and personable. Made recommendations on both menu items as well as quantity of plates to be sufficient for our large group of 9. He made the experience wonderful. Then the food started to come out...WOW!! We did not have any plate we didn't absolutely love. In fact, we ended up sharing not just appetizers but entrees and even deserts around our entire group! the Ostrich special was phenomenal, the Bison was incredible, the Bowl of clams muscles and shrimp was mouth watering, and both of the fish plates we had in our group were outstanding. Chef Fredy even came out to chat with us and thank us for coming into his restaurant, but the reality is we were thanking him for the experience! As a very important side note, the Fried Calamari appetizer is probably one of the best Calamari dishes i have ever had in my 40 years of existence. If you do nothing else in your life at least try this dish, it will all make sense after you experience it.
This was our first time at Chef Freddy’s.
The service was great and so was the food.
It is an active place and the noise level is moderate but not annoying.
It is a BYOB.
I highly recommend it.
I think Chef Fredy's deserves a second chance. This was my first experience and it was lackluster. The food was alright, but my expectations were higher. The ambiance is fine, but the music that was being played that night is a poor match to the environment they are presenting.
Unfortunately, my food had two errors:
1. We were served the wrong dessert, but we were able to change it (the one we wanted was incredible).
2. Both of our meals contained chicken. And although the flavors were decent, the protein was very hard.
The Food was Excellent!
The service is incredible, and staffs were very polite. Surely will come back.
We've been to Chef Fredy's a few times now and it is a reliable go-to for our end of the week "date night." The service is excellent, well-trained, enthusiastic, knowledgeable attentive waitstaff. You can dine at ease knowing you will be well taken care of. The food is excellent. Traditional choices with imaginative touches carefully prepared. The jambalaya is particularly good. I would recommend Chef Fredy's to anyone.
Excellent dining. One of my favorite
The restaurant was incredible. It is family owned and it showed. Our server, Luis, doubled as the General Manager and gave my team the best experience any of us have had in a long time. The menu had a great variety of options from beef to seafood to pasta but the features were even better. The ravioli app is a must. Fresh made pasta stuffed with the goodness of your choice. I ordered the Ostrich feature which was out of the world when served with the goat cheese mashed potatoes. Everyone was raving about their filet, bison , venison and pasta dishes. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I hope to be able to come back soon.
Absolutely perfect! Best service and food. We love Chef Fredy's.
Chef Fredy's loves you as well. Thank you for patronizing our business and can't wait to have you back at our table for more of Chef Fredy's creative cuisine.
My third time at the restaurant. Waited until now to give my review in order to make sure the two previous time wasn’t because it was a new restaurant on my rotation of restaurants in Morristown since my daughter moved there six months ago. I worked and entertained in N.Y.C for fifteen years and one of my favorite place in the City was and still is the Gotham Grill for its ambience, vibe excellent food and knowledgeable staff. I know this is a tall order to compare a BYOB in NJ to what I think is one of the finest American Restaurant in Manhattan but Chef Fredy’s Table at a smaller scale remained my wife and I of all the things we love of the Gotham Grill. Chef Fredy’s could be a bit noisy at times when full but I think that once you taste the food that noice will muffled quite a bit. Enjoy
Valentine’s Day dinner was great!
Great meal on Valentine’s Day!
We had a wonderful meal and great service. The food is always fresh and prepared uniquely.
Thank you Lisa, we do pride ourselves in serving the best quality ingredients to ensure a good experience for all of our guests. Make sure to come back to try some of the other specials Chef Fredy has on the menu.
We had a wonderful meal with great service. They were so accommodating and the atmosphere was delightful. No rushing and attention to every detail.
Excellent food and service
the service and food were excellent. the restaurant is uncomfortably noisy requiring the need to
raise voices when speaking. This part of the dining experience we did not enjoy... Although the food
was delicious, The restaurant is very overpriced. Unfortunately, we will not
We love the place! This was our 4th time and the first time we had coffee. Even the coffee was great.
First time to this Morristown eatery and have been wanting to try for a while. Only about half full on a Friday night; decor is attractive but noise level is pretty loud. Dishes were attractively plated and food was good but appetizer and entree prices are high for a Morristown restaurant and portions were average sized. Not sure I would rush to return anytime soon.
One of my favorite restaurants in town. The service was perfect. The food was fresh and delicious and made to order. What a perfect way to celebrate my Birthday!
Excellent service food was delicious great atmosphere..
Amazing food and service !!
I have never had service so amazing, my wifes water glass never emptied and our wine glasses always stayed full. The food was absolutely delicious and we look forward to going back. I would recommend Chef Freddys to everyone!
Great service, great food, but too loud (at least until half of the guests left)
I had requested that they put a candle on dessert as we were celebrating a birthday. I called ahead to make sure they had candles. I was told to point out the birthday person when I got there - which I did. The waiter came out and started singing happy birthday before he brought out dessert very softly but we didn’t even hear him. It was awkward for the birthday person so he told him “you don’t have to do that” so the waiter stopped. Why he did this without the candle/dessert so we could all sing is beyond me. The menu should be given $$$$ not $$$ (very pricey) and food was ok - not great. Also it was very loud in there and I felt like I was yelling throughout the meal.
BYOB! Chef Fredy’s Table did not disappoint on our first visit there in celebration of my girlfriend’s birthday! It won’t be our last visit.
Easy reservation made on OpenTable.
Wonderful aambiance that sets the tone from the start of your dining experience. The host, Mr. Bedoya was the most outgoing, warm and welcoming person who curated our dinner to be far more than simply transactional. He asked us what the occasion was, asked us of our interests and tastes, made recommendations, taught me how to fold the napkin like a flower (I did it well enough), and we talked about life and dogs and Kobe.
The food was on point. Spicy calamari was flavorful and not too spicy. Highly recommend! I got the salmon and she got the roasted chicken. After sharing samples of each, I couldn’t decide which was better. The salmon had that natural, pure flavor but was garnished intentionally well. The chicken, so tender, remained a perfect moisture and consistency. Easy 5-star, slam dunk.
BYOB and it wasn’t that crowded at all, I’d say 70% full on a Monday night. Will definitely return for the people, food, and overall experience!
It was very quiet Sunday evening. Great food and excellent service we enjoyed very much. BYOB makes even better brought own wines and enjoy .
Menu selections are outstanding and food tastes wonderful. Great service also.
Great food and service! Perfect place for dinner then head across the street to catch a movie!
Fantastic yet again. I can't say enough about the quality of the food or the service. Unique pairings of flavors take what might be normal some place else and transform that to exquisite. Add to that the beautiful presentation and you have a wonderful meal! Great people round it out to make it a great evening.
Every time we come here we are blown away with 5 stars across the board...Nestor and Chef Fredy are great and provide excellent foodwith super service
Thank you Jim for your awesome feedback, we love having you as our guest and always look forward to your next visit. See you soon.
We always have the best experience at Chef Freddy’s!
Cozy yet upscale, interesting cuisine like ostrich with tropical fruits, meticulous service.
Such a nice night! Great food, amazing, creative presentation and very friendly nice helpful service! We all loved this place!
Great service and food. Everyone was super nice and attentive. Will definitely return.
Food, service and décor all top-notch. BYOB makes overall cost reasonable
The food was delicious and everything came out hot. Our server was exceptional. He checked on us many times even though it was a busy night. The bus boys were constantly checking to see if we needed our water glasses filled. It is obvious that the waitstaff is trained. A very important part for a wonderful dining experience.
My wife and I go to Chef Freddy every couple of months or so. We love the food and the service. It is probably the best restaurant in Morristown and we will continue to go
Appetizer was unspectacular however main courses were nicely done. Dessert (chocolate mouse with raspberries) was presented with strawberries instead. The server, however, did not communicate the substitution.
Restaurant appears to cater to larger groups so the noise lever was significant. As a party of two, we were seated in an enclosed corner with little ambiance. Moreover we were seated extremely close to another table of two who appeared unhappy with their meals and loudly voiced their dissatisfaction, repeatedly, with the server and manager. Quite disruptive.
Would definitely not recommend restaurant for smaller parties of up to 4 people.
food and service were great. We were there on a Saturday night, which is probably why it was very noisy. Food is a bit pricey, but worth it
Restaurant is worth trying. This there is better value in Morristown but i have eaten here 2x and will eat again. This is a positive but honest review. As stated there is better value, but great dishes and atmosphere.
The food eas excellent and also the service.
I don't give 5 stars because there was very noisy
