The service as always was lovely but perhaps even a notch higher. We went on our first date to cipriani 21 years ago. They catered our wedding. We love it
The staff is always attentive, kind and caring.
They are careful about safety during these times and their patrons could use lessons from the Cipriani’s standards for seriousness regarding others safety during this pandemic.
We are always happy to be able to enjoy ourselves and be taken care of with so much gratitude.
Grazie Mille, me piacano da morire!
Overrated, the food was average and basic, the service was average, nothing about this experience was exceptional. Considering the prices for each dish its really not very good.
I had the beef carpaccio to start and honestly it was the worst beef carpaccio I have ever had circa $30 for this from memory
Then I had the duck which was the special, this was cooked nicely, but very simple and it literally came out with some bland mash potato that was it and it was $51
Its a place where people go to be seen and eat average overpriced food in my opinion.
Yummiest restaurant
The food was fine but absolutely not worth the money. The prices were outrageous and the food was only okay.
Food was outstanding. We felt a bit rushed to leave, although it was just 9pm. As other guests left they started cleaning up and we felt compelled to leave.
Best restaurant my Italian girlfriend loves it
Excellent service, outside winter dining, great menu, ambience. Favorite soho place!
They could offer lap blankets but otherwise lovely.
AMAZING! 10/10 food was amazing service was spectacular!
Cipriani is a nice Italian restaurant but none of the ambience, service or food quality justify exorbitant pricing; the food was good but there was literally nothing that struck me as being impressive or delicious. One should be cautious because this restaurant does not specifically mention that only outdoor dining is available (as do many other restaurants) but it is actually the case.
Amazing service! Amazing food! The outdoor heaters were of high quality, I was able to remove my jacket it felt so warm.
Great heaters
food gave my palate a different taste but not better than my cooking or other restaurants i frequent. although I've visited this chain down in Miami which was better. Food was okay, overpriced but nothing to talk about. Service was excellent but at that price, it's expected. My son was given the wrong veal and as a result of that i was charged an additional $20 because of someone's error. I didn't realize he'd been given the incorrect dish until the next day when I questioned, why would he ordered something, take a bite, then bag it to go? That is when he admitted, being a pre-teenager that he is and the big ego he carries, that he was embarrass to say anything to the waiter. I explained that "there are no embarrassments when you need to speak up and no one will judge you". He went on to say, he didn't want the waiter getting into trouble. As i continue to explain, "We're all humans and we make mistakes. Corrections are a daily routine in life and through habits we become perfectuated.
Cipriani Downtown was outstanding as always!! The service is incomparable, the covid protocols unsurpassed and no place comes close to the Cipriani food and experience!!
Okay service
Everything was great. The food, service, the ambiance and the clientele were all magnificent.
Sun trap for outdoor dining! Consistently excellent service and delicious food!
Great food 🥘 real nice I can’t wait to come back
Excellent, professional staff, all of them. Great food and vine list. Always a fun outing.
This time, they did not have a dish we usually order and they still made it for us especially, on request, and as outstandingly delicious as usual.
Great sunny afternoon in soho. Good to be able to enjoy the classics and people watch. Always consistent.
The staff are amazing!
We had a reservation at 8pm and we had to wait 20 minutes to get a table.
Overcharged on bill, not the expected experience :(
Worker killed a mouse that was trying to run into the restaurant.
enjoyed their outdoor setting very much, delicious food
Good place, but wouldn’t go there anytime soon.
Food was fine, nothing too crazy.
But worth it to get their vanilla meringue cake and white truffles when they are in season.
Overall experience was awful.
After waiting over an hour for our entrees, we were told one dish wasn't availalbe. The manager stepped in, we got all our orders pdq, but it was an unfortunate glich.
Food was amazing.... the service was very disappointing
Service and food were amazing!
Always a fun spot with excellent food and service. The outdoor dining area is great!
Great spot for an upscale meal. Service was top notch been though we had to wait a bit to get seated for our reservation.
Fun even though outdoors. Lots of patio heaters!
The heater next to us wasn't working so that was the only bummer
Risottos are great! Recommend Cipriani for a drink
I would give Cipriani 0 star and if even possible a -10 rating.
When NY opened again after the shutdown, we decided to eat at Cipriani to support restaurants in our area.
It took us a month before we were able to get a reservation. We know Cipriani is popular and such a hot spot but didn't consider it's like making a reservation at Per Se or hard to get reservation restaurants.
We finally have a reservation. We showed up on time. There was a line of people waiting for their reservation, but the line was moving along fine. When we got in front of the line, we waited a few minutes before someone came to ask us about our reservation. After maybe another five minutes, someone came, and we told them we have a 7:45 pm. The head waiter stopped by to ask us AGAIN; we told him and proceeded to wait.
Well .... We were never seated at the restaurant. We never had a chance to eat, let alone see the menu. We also never spoke to anyone again because no one came to get us. Customers that they know are the ones that are being entertained. The couple who are next to us were chatting with hosts the entire time, ignoring us. We decided to leave and go to Broome Street Cafe, which has way better food, and the staff is terrific. It's not fancy, but have a better ambiance, food, and staff.
We will never go to this restaurant again. For anyone reading this review, there are better restaurants in the Soho area. Mamo, Arturos, Aurora are an excellent replacement for Cipriani.
The ambiance is not even pleasant, and the people that work there are just awful and unfriendly. The only time they entertain customers is if you either know any of the staff or you're dressed up nicely - like a rich person.
La recepcion mala
La comida buena
El precio justo
I have honestly never written a bad review before but I felt as though I had to for this! I have been so excited to go to Ciprianis for a long time however it was a terrible experience. The service staff were beyond rude and barely paid any attention to us throughout the whole meal. The food was not good either, I had the veal pasta and the pasta still felt slightly hard, not what I would expect from a high end restaurant. I wanted to try the vanilla cake for dessert but when I saw it was $17 per slice I didn’t bother!
la mesa que nos dieron estaba prácticamente pegada a otra...no teníamos espacio vital entre una y otra mesa...el cabello de la chica de a lado estaba literal encima de la mantequilla de mi mesa
Always a great place to celebrate a fun event! Was a closing dinner on an apartment. Good times were had by all.
