Honestly, everything was great. Hostess was friendly and nice, waiter was charming and timely, and the food was perfect. We would return in a heartbeat.
The service at Circa Foggy Bottom was outstanding! We had a tight, pre-theatre schedule, and the staff was extremely accommodating. They made sure to bring our food out quickly, wrap up what we needed, and get our bill to us all within 40 minutes! It was the best service I've had at any restaurant in recent visits!
Outstanding service with terrific food. First time but definitely not the last.
CIRCA at Foggy Bottom is our go-to place for brunch ahead of a Kennedy Center matinee. Parking at Whole Foods $12. Free shuttle across the street at FB metro. Now for the food. I love their brunch. Their crab + eggs Benedict is my all time favorite. Their French toast is unique and very good as well. Others enjoy their salads and bowls. And ... their mimosas make round out a perfect pre-theatre brunch.
The weather was horrible this past Friday, but our experience at Circa was so nice. We had a friendly and efficient server, Nathaniel, who ensured everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The salmon dishes at Circa are very flavorful! He also ensured that we had our checks with plenty of time to make the Kennedy Center shuttle for Hamilton!!
I would strongly recommend Circa for any occasion, and if you’re headed to the theatre, they have great food, drinks, service and ambiance for a great evening on the town.
Great services, great food as always! highly recomended
Very enjoyable lunch. Would definitely use again. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I had a wonderful steak - cooked medium just as requested, and it was juicy and tender throughout.
A vibrant mixture of students, office workers, and theatregoers gives CIRCA a real buzz, which isn't something I usually enjoy, but here is just seems right and I did enjoy my whole meal. Service was prompt too, so I had no trouble eating at 5pm and getting the metro over to the Nationals game across town for 7.05pm first pitch.
We went prior to the theater in the middle of happy hour, so the very loud noise level was worst part of our dinner. Food and service was very good.
soup of the day (potato leek) was wonderful ... flatbreads had really good crust ... craft cocktails a high point ... service was very good ...side dish portions very large ...interesting wine list... great place to go pre-theater...
Great food and service! Fun place!
Caitlin C made our night so we went back the next night too. Each dinner was excellent and her professionalism was appreciated. Excellent server and great food and drinks.
We had brunch at CIRCA before the Hamilton afternoon show. The food was delicious and the service was great! We had avocado toast, crab eggs Benedict and he chicken and waffles. All were excellent! Would definitely go back again!
Took mother in law and mother with wife and friend and staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was very good.
Perfect for pre-theater at the Kennedy Center. Convenient shuttle bus across the street. We ordered from the tasty and interesting small plate menu, perfect for an early dinner! Beautifully presented plates with substantial portions. Friendly and efficient service. Then off to see Hamilton!
Enjoyed this before a show. Beautiful venue and good food!
Excellent service, food and ambiance. Highly recommend this restaurant
Visitors from Indiana in for visit to DC. Sat outside under awning; although hot/humid the overhead fans helped. Server Scott very helpful; Food fabulous! Appetizers of Shrimp excellent... Chicken Sandwich and our Quinoa Bowls were outstanding. The flavors very refreshing - and the bowls were noted given ingredients including goat cheese. DEFINITELY will return given all of the above - especially fab food!
First time. Good for casual and quick service. Good location for KC.
We went for pre theater meal. Food was EXCELLENT! Only problem was sitting directly next to the happy hour crowd. We had to shout to each other across the table. Not at all pleasant. Please address this for your diners. There are times for “extremely energetic “ noise level and times when you should respect your guests.
The Circa Restaurant at Foggy Bottom (there is also one in Arlington, VA) offers a nice, varied menu with well-prepared food and interesting choices. The only caveat is that the restaurant can get very loud inside when the bar and/or restaurant is full, which means that you will spend the evening shouting at your friends or date.
It is insanely loud indoors at this restaurant. We sat outside although it was 95 degrees. We were disappointed to learn that we couldn't order happy hour specials unless we were at the bar (standing room only) so we sat and sweltered. Service and food was good as I recall.
Great place for lunch and dinner and before the Kennedy Center show.
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. We had an unexpected third person join our two person table after we already finished our meal. The hostess immediately brought a chair and then moved us to a larger table. The food was excellent, our waitress very attentive and prompt. Highly recommend! My one wish, and I know, not possible due to space constraints, would be a little more space between tables so the neighbors are not sitting quite as close.
Nice find, would definitely dine there again. We highly recommend Circa!
We showed up 45 minutes before our scheduled reservation and they were able to seat us ahead of time. Our waiter was very nice, prompt and patient when taking our orders. Our food arrived timely and was delicious! I will definitely be coming back to CIRCA Foggy Bottom!
The food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry so it wasn’t a bother. Wonderfully friendly staff.
Sat outside for brunch on a beautiful day. All four of us loved our food, and our server was wonderful.
This was a great restaurant and reasonably priced! We ate at an outside table and the atmosphere was really nice, just the right blend of quiet & city noise. The food and drinks were delicious! The staff overall was very nice; however I was a little upset because our waiter was not very attentive...I really wanted another cocktail but never asked and he seemed to disappear for a bit. Despite this, I would recommend Circa!
Fast service and delicious food close to the Kennedy Center for pre-show dining.
Decent place to eat - there isn't a lot that is mid priced in Foggy Bottom.
Circa is always a decent place to eat. Menu is varied.
The portions could be a little more generous for the price.
Just a nice, dependable place to eat.
Great place to go before a Show @ the Kennedy Center. Deserts were amazing Chocolate Bread pudding and the Cheesecake!!
Racheal our waitress was amazing !!! Great food. The filet sliders were amazing !!!!
Food, ambiance, and location/proximity to Kennedy Performing Arts Center all excellent. Drinks were small for the price. Service was slow, but when we mentioned we were seeing a performance, they did speed it up and we made it to the performance on time. Free Shuttle to Kennedy PAC half block away!
I enjoyed my recent visit; Our server Mizael was extremely knowledgeable with the menu, he described the feature of the day with such precision that my mouth was watering. When they served the meal it was fantastic. Great job Mozart and the rest of the staff that made this food so delicious.
Delicious fresh food and well prepared! Our server was also terrific.
We recently spent a week in the Foggy Bottom area of Washington, DC, and Circa was the best restaurant at which we dined. In fact, we liked it so much, that we went back again for dinner on the final night of our trip. The setting is casual, but upscale, with an inviting atmosphere, and the service was friendly and accommodating. Appetizers were very good, in particular the Lettuce Wraps, Poke Nachos and Shotgun Shrimp, and the Parmesan Kale salad was also excellent. The selection of beers is varied with an interesting assortment of craft beers. Wine list is varied, but not exceptional. Entrees are very good. The Blackened Atlantic Salmon, Lobster Ravioli with Sautéed shrimp, and Seared Scallops were all excellent. Sides were also quite good, especially the brussel sprouts. Prices are also very good for the DC metro area, which was a pleasant surprise.
Nice place, good food, good service
Easy Sunday dinner with summer menu goodish value for family
The s was a first time visit amongst a group of friends following a matinee st the Kenbedy Center. Both the wine selection and menu were most appealing and everything we chose from the bruschetta to mushroom flatbread to scallops, hamburger, and dessert of bread pudding were scrumptious! I would definitely recommend this place and will return.
