The restaurant has elevated ratings at OT. I had high expectations however its average restaurant to say the least...
Great food and we got in immediately. Was surprised it wasn’t more crowded
Very friendly service everyone made sure our visit was the best it could be.
Portions were too small but food was tasty!
Excellent food and service in great location across from Foggy Bottom Metro and GWU Hospital. Lobster bisque was excellent. Able to talk without excess background noise. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
I like to go here when I want a quick meal. I always get the same thing--the Caesar salad and the wild mushroom flatbread. Both are good. This last time when I went I thought they overdid the salt, but I still thought the food was good. Service could not be better.
Beware of the setting sun for many tables. Wait staff is pleasant and accommodating.
I went to brunch here with a girlfriend and our two 7 year-old daughters. While I normally wouldn't opt to bring children to a restaurant like this, this area has limited brunch options for families.
The place had a lounge-like ambiance with comfy seating and great cocktails. The menu selection was strong and food, absolutely delicious. I'd definitely return for an evening out with friends when the weather is warm so we can enjoy the outdoor seating.
Overrated restaurant. It was good but nothing outstanding.
The food and service are very good. The noise kevel is seriously horrible. Pumped up music means you can’t hear and can’t talk. It’s too bad because it’s a great location for the Kennedy Center.
My friend and I dined here the other night before a concert. We feasted on the Tuna Poke Nachos, Calamari, Seared Scallops with Risotto and Brussels. The food was fantastic. The Tuna Poke Nachos were wonderfully seasoned and very tasty. Tuna Poke anything is one of my favorite things to eat. The Seared Scallops and Risotto were also very yummy. Perfectly seared. The Risotto was cooked properly. All in all, I thought all the dishes were great. The ambiance is nice but it can get a little loud but nothing too crazy. They have a lovely outdoor patio that is screened in during the Winter. I’d highly recommend eating here.
The service was very attentive. They used a team approach. The food was delicious and came out quickly.
Nice restaurant on the campus of George Washington University. The best part of our night was very attentive wait staff. Very professional, very helpful, very upbeat. While the food was good we felt that it was a little uneven. For example, my tuna salad had hot tuna, Room temperature lettuce, and very cold beets. Our shrimp starter was a little too greasy. However, we cleaned her plate and we’re very satisfied when we’re finished. We even had room for dessert which was quite delicious. We will go back
I was at Circa for my birthday and T was an amazing waitress!!! Extremely professional and attentive. I will definitely be back😃
Best flounder I’ve had in ages. Absolutely fantastic! Lovely atmosphere, can’t wait to come back.
Staple, good food, good price, energetic atmosphere, and good service. Almost always reliable.
nice casual ambiance, very good food and reasonable price, excellent service, all in all a very good choice for a lunch with friends; a bit too noisy though inside the restaurant....
We were very hungry, it was a bit pricey. Brunch is very good here.
We discovered CIRCA when looking for a place to eat before seeing a show at the Kennedy Center. It is conveniently located across the street from the Foggy Bottom Metro (where you pick up the Kennedy Center Shuttle). We have eaten there frequently since, both to meet friends and when going to a show.
The food was delicious and the service was perfect
Very good food. People greeting at the entrance very good. Waiter was fine but too many other inexperienced people. A guy came to give us the main course but no one had take n he appetizer plates so we had to help him bus the table or he was going to put them on our appetizer plates. Other mistakes made—need to train people.
This restaurant is leaps and bounds behind any other restaurant in DC. This should be your last option for dining in DC.
Always reliably good!
Arnold Palmer drink was not very tasty but otherwise everything else was good.
Very positive experience - lovely tuna & bread pudding. Just wish it wasn’t quite so expensive.
Was there for brunch and dinner. Both times very good service and amazing food.
Food was good, not great. Service was very good. Prices were quite good considering its location. The inside was noisy. The outdoor area was enclosed and well but unevenly heated using IR heaters.
We had an early dinner here before a concert at Lisner Auditorium (which is very close by). It was an ideal spot for that occasion. I had a fish dinner which was excellent--very fresh fish and well prepared. My husband had the pizza which was not quite excellent (more ordinary, but good). We found it a very good way to start the evening, especially given the friendly service.
Food average and service ok. Serviceable meal but would go back.
arrived on a saturday evening//opentable reservation found quickly and seated right away//waitress was attentive and answered all questions, including dietary restrictions//food portions were plentiful//food tasted very well//fun and tasty cocktail drinks//definitely recommend!
Went to CIRCA for brunch and it was very good. Servers were attentive and Manager checked in with us as well. The menu offered a good selection so everyone was happy.
Never disappoints. The last time we were there, the server brought my husband the wrong dish at first, but then the manager and the server quickly apologized, brought the right dish, and gave us a round of drinks on the house for the trouble. Very professional and just nice.
So great. Delicious and amazing service
Valentine’s Day with a special friend...
Everything was great! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. My only reason for knocking off a star from the service was because there isn't a non-alcoholic beverage list/menu. I don't drink so it would have been nice to see what my options are on paper.
We enjoyed some interesting and delicious dishes for Valentine’s Day! Lots of fresh produce, fish and good cuts of meat. Each dish has an interesting twist and is in reasonable sized portions - as you want to eat it all up! They serve traditional cocktails and make their own signature ones. The special Valentine dessert was good, but a little disappointing, wish I’d had the nutella trifle as a had the last time! The service is friendly and fast. We were in and out within an hour - great evening.
Service was excellent and food was delicious! I will definitely be dining at Circa VERY soon!
Very disappointing. Service was awful. Nice waiter but minimal effort. We had to ask for bread. (Burnt, by the way) One person takes your order but two others serve you and don't know what is going on. One server said she would get me parmesan cheese, but she never returned. When we entered and sat down, the waiter didn't show up for a good 15 mins. The cocktails were sub par. I ordered a gin and tonic and it came with almost no gin and flat tonic water. I drank it anyway. What are you going to do? I ordered another drink and this time it was made to put down an elephant. Jeez! It was all gin. Actually, it was more like grain alcohol. I don't think it was Tanqueray, as I ordered and was charged. For dessert, the cookies were good but the coffee was tepid, barely warm, and tasted like it was brewing since morning. My guess is they gave us the last of what was inside a pot they threw out. Circa was much better when they were near Dupont Circle. If you are going to go...just sit at the bar and watch the bartender closely and you may have to tutor him on how to make a drink.
Server was fantastic and the food (brunch) was delicious and at a reasonable price too.
Food was amazing. However, the seating was extremely tight, and we were surrounded by loud mouth people the entire evening. Additionally, our waitress was “Johnny on the spot” all night until it was time to close out the bill. Then she was non-existent.
