We had a lovely pre-theater meal with two teenage boys. Although we had a reservation, our table was not ready (only a short delay) but the manager apologized and offered us a complimentary starter. The service was outstanding - and everyone who delivered something to the table made sure we didn't need anything else. The food was exceptional. Kudos to Circa and staff.
We were 45 minutes late for our reservation due to an accident and terrible weather and they were patience and allowed one of our guests to order dinner and drinks for us so that when we arrived it was all ready for us, which allowed us to have a nice relaxing meal before our show at the Kennedy Center.
Food and service good. Had barbecued chicken flatbread.
Food was perfectly prepared and presented. Extremely noisy so quite difficult to hold a conversation.
Food was good but place was crowded & very loud, due to happy hour. But restaurant website was not clear that happy hour offerings wee only available sitting at the bar which was first come first serve .. of course we could not find seats for 4, which was why we reserved through Open Table. Unfortunately we were charged full price menu herb we had planned for the happy hour. Not nice !
very accomodating, good service, great food - my go to for dining when I am attendinmg something at the Kennedy Center
I actually was there 2 nights in a row - the night before for a business dinner with 10 people. Food was too salty, service rushed and inattentive, the appetizers and mains arrived at the same time.
. Our waiter was superior!!! The food was superior for a grill and casual setting A pleasant surprise was a free shuttle to the Kennedy Center located at the corner of the restaurant. Would recommend if you looking for a place before your scheduled Kennedy Center Performance
We eat at this restaurant fairly often as it is close to our church. It is a good value and the food is well done. We find the menu to be a little esoteric for our general tastes, but we can always find a good meal to order. Noise level is a little high, especially for we senior citizens.
Consistently great appetizers! Favorite brussel sprouts in all of DC
Attentive wait staff complemented the various food choices. Portion size was either just right or more food than could be eaten, depended on the diner and the food ordered. A very nice dining experience
Great food & drinks, warm, friendly, efficient service, and a terrific location. You can't go wrong here!
CIRCA is always consistently good food. Decor looks a bit dated/worn at the Foggy Bottom location, but service was friendly and timely. Gave us no concerns with making it to a show at the Kennedy Center on time!
This foodie gem, hidden on the edge of the GW campus, has excellent food, gracious service, and interesting cocktails. The vibe is an interesting mix of sports bar and upscale DC restaurant, and the prices are reasonable.
Great food and really fun atmosphere!
Circa is a true gem - great food, great service, and totally casual.
Circa is convenient for business meetings. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't the best since it was freezing and they sat us on the patio which was not ideal.
My server was very helpful! My wife and I had a great time!
Had a wonderful dinner meal and excellent service. The soups are always interesting and tasty. Usually we go with the tuna poke nachos for an appetizer but this time we had the bulgogi lettuce wraps --- they were great and easy for sharing. Food is always done well here and we had great service on top of that... We will be back...
I have dined here many times and ordered a representative sample of the menu. The entrees are very good especially the various sauces prepared by the kitchen crew. I always enjoy the brioche bread pudding with rum sauce every time.
Great food and great service. But sit outside if you can. It's less noisy.
Food was amazing!
We enjoy eating at this restaurant very much - have been here several times. Our server was excellent and very attentive. The food was tasty and portions were nice. It is a super place for good food and excellent service.
Had a very good meal on Saturday night. Food was great --- got the butternut squash soup, tuna poke nachos, and medallion fillets --- all three great. However, it took forever to get our drinks that we ordered. Took a long time for server to take our food order. We had to ask to look at dessert menu, and by the time the person came back --- we did not have time to order the dessert fearing that would also be slow and we would be late for our show at Kennedy Center.... Need to improve service and perhaps hire more staff...
Excellent service! Dinner specials were amazing. Highly recommend the pumpkin cheesecake for as long as they have it on the menu!
Perfect dining location if you’re headed to the Kennedy Center after dinner for a performance.
Great for work lunch. Fast service, meal came quickly
The fall specials were amazing! Creative takes that didn't simply reply on pumpkin as a crutch. Lovely service as well, it was a perfect spot for a business lunch.
It's a little on the pricier side, but the food was so good. We ordered off the fall menu and had the fall vegetable bruschetta (vegetables were fresh and the many flavors were well layered) and the amazing pumpkin ravioli (butter and sweetness balanced well with lemon juice). Would go again just for that meal. Service was also great, our waitress was friendly and prompt. Well located to the Kennedy Center shuttle if you want to go before a show.
Best dining before/after Kennedy Center, the shuttle bus and Metrorail across the street!!!
Great location, good food. If you want a place for conversation...not so much.
Excellent service, good food , every visit
Best food I’ve eaten in a while. The fall bruschetta was perfect. Convenient for a bite before going to the Kennedy Center.
Restaurant is pretty noisy but we had a corner table and that area was pretty quiet. Recommed you ask for a corner table if you are with a group.
The food is excellent. The service needs work - a spoon should be served with coffee and cream not requested. The noise level is high.
Was nice to stay there. Perfect place with the toddler and a high chair
We had a good experience at Circa. Very convenient location next to metro and Kennedy Center shuttle. Perfect for pre-theatre meals.
Went with friends from out of town and our two daughters (party of six). Had a nice evening and everyone seemed to enjoy the food (there was a minor issue with some chicken wings that I attribute to supplier error that the kitchen staff did not catch, and they took the item off our bill, offering a free substitute that we didn't need so graciously declined; I thought it was handled well).
Went for brunch. Food was good. Service not great. Only given water and never asked for other drinks. Requested coffees and not only did it take forever but then they brought the wrong amounts of decaf and regular.
Fun spot and great menu
We chose this restaurant from its reviews and menu on opentable. We had one problem during the meal as the crab cakes weren't hot. My son didn't want to mention it so carried on eating it. When he mentioned it he had eaten 75% of the dish. We raised it with our server and said yes, we should have mentioned it before but he was embarrassed to say something. They dealt with it immediately and said it was ok and they would deduct the meal from our bill. Would go back the next time we are in DC. Great staff and a great Saturday night vibe too. Food was not huge portions but adequate and very tasty.
