Please note that our patio is first come first serve and reservations are not accepted for outdoor seating. We only accept reservations for the dining room. A few tables as well as the bar are saved for walk ins. Due to our cozy setting, for reservations of parties over 4 people please call Coppa directly.
As Coppa is a small intimate restaurant with limited seats, we do ask if you are running late to please call and alert the host. If the party does not show up, the table is given away after 15 minutes. Thank you in advance!
My friend was a half hour late but they didn’t seem bothered by it I just drank alone and ordered an app. This place is my favorite in Boston so no surprise . Never let down. Great music too, 90s hip hop
I always have a fantastic experience at Coppa. The service is on point, and I have recently used their Gilt City vouchers which is a phenomenal deal. It's a go-to recommendation for friends/family/visitors!
Coppa was excellent. The staff was SUPER friendly, they were accommodating to us with some special requests we had during our ordering; even when I was being picky! Separate from that, everything on this menu is cooked to perfection and to die for. They HANDS DOWN have some of the best pasta in the city. The combination of romantic and gorgeous ambiance, UNBELIEVABLE food, and world class service/goodtimes/fun music makes Coppa a MUST return.
Blown away by the food and sweet set up the first time I went there...so went back the next day.
Seriously though, they’ve nailed it with food. So much variety as far as meat and cheese. Pasta was insane. You can literally taste the talent and hella love they put into each dish. Workers were great. I’m assuming it was the MOD who managed the host stand, as well as walking checking up on all his guests - he was lovely and welcoming!
Brownie points for carrying bottles of Luisa - which is my middle name - and has naturally made this place my go to spot whenever I visit Boston!!!!!
always a great meal. interesting and delicious small plates. Just perfect for a lighter dinner with lots of flexibility. The special pizza was fabulous!
Excellence requires service leadership and MCPC (Mass-Customized, Personalized, Co-created) hospitality.
coppa's GM Ryan Millian leads by example. My guest and I both had incredible lunches-- sedano di cesare, polpette, lo squisito piatto caldo di porco Iberico, et RIGATONI (madonna mia! ti fa morire. . .) Hey to Shane, Sam, and was that Billy I saw in the kitchen? It's been way too long. . . and it felt like coming home. Thank you so very much.
Used a Gilt City coucher and the multi-course tasting menu created for it was awesome. Would have been great if dessert we’re included, but in the end we barely had room for more.
We love Coppa. Our fav spot in Boston for delicious, inventive but not-pretentious Italian food! Tapas style serving is always fun. Wine selection is great. The staff is always so helpful and friendly
Consistently good. Charcuterie offerings are among the best in Boston
Went for my birthday and as always had a delicious meal with awesome service.
Miss the half pasta option and now the full size is way smaller than the old full pasta for the same price (or even more). Great food, terrible value.
You can get more pasta for your buck that’s just as good or better quality at Cinquecento down the street. And it’s a lot easier to get a seat since it’s larger.
Always a fantastic experience! Can't help myself from going back again and again.
Food was great but (same) dessert portions varied wildly. My friend received half of an already-tiny scoop of gelato while mine was full. Considering it’s an $8 dessert, it seems cavalier to not be more deliberate about portions. Service was kind of rushed too.
LOVE Coppa!! It’s delicious and the service is perfection.
To put it simply...perfect dinner from start to finish. Who would of thought that I’d eat a Celery Caesar Salad? Not me! Get thee to Coppa!
Food was great! The service wasn't the best. Thankfully, we were in no rush to be anywhere so it didn't bug us but just something to keep in mind.
We are so thrilled to be able to return to our regular Coppa patronage from life before a long bout of surgeries etc. Valentine's dinner 2019 may have been our fav meal there this yr. A foie gras torchon
(a hemm, TWO foie gras torchons, with an exotic 3 citrus compote , were UNtoppable. The essence of sublime. Ditto, my Love's osso buco ravioli, and our suppli, potato croquettes w/ caviar and creme fraiche, and the " 'OMG!'-Can't dine there w/o ordering" impossibly icy/crunchy Celery Caesar with crunchies. (the surprising let-downs were the wickedly over- salty kale and the dull truffle gnocchi.)
The ever-talented bartender always does wonderful and very memorable infused vodkas and mocktinis.
It's a good thing we were parked nearby because post- dining swooning can be unconducive to walking.
This place was awesome, very small, food was delicious, fun for sharing, eclectic cocktail menu, only small criticism, chairs are not very comfortable and dress warm on a cold night!
Favorite place in Boston
Thought the food would be better given all the rave reviews. The atmosphere is fun and the staff was attentive. But, the two pastas we had, particularly the gnocchi, were below average. The arranchini balls are delicious!
Another wonderful evening at Coppa on a cold February Saturday night. Exquisite charcuterie to start and then a bunch of yummy plates to share - gnocchi, pizza and a fab pork dish. Excellent service from an attentive and knowledgeable waiter, who let my husband try three reds before pouring the winner. Signature donuts for dessert are a must. We will return again in the spring!
Excellent food! Portions small, but satisfying. Loved the braised short ribs... wish I had more...
Service was great. The pizza was my favorite. I would definitely come back.
Reviews must be 50 characters -> I'll go back! I'll go back! I'll go back!
Beautiful space, tucked away in the South End. A great menu, definitely meat-heavy, but done in a really creative way. I went for Sunday brunch and got the Coppa Hash and was not disappointed.
Always love the pasta! They were out of most of their Reds by the glass. Only had 2 offerings left when we got there. Stick to their signature pastas and charcuterie and you won’t be disappointed
Dried out gnocchi and frankly, overpriced. I don’t mind paying if it’s delicious. Wine was good but $$.
Won’t go back. Sorry.
We had a salami course, the grilled octopus, tagliatelle, and the parma pizza - every course was amazing!
The meat and cheese boards are just one of the reasons I love this spot! Their Roots in Italian cuisine and meats make this is an amazing Lunch and dinner spot!
we have been coppa fans since they opened, with both fantastic and innovative food and friendly professional staff. we have had a lot of hospital time that has kept us away the last 3 years, so we were as joy-filled as possible to find, our first time back, that the food is better than ever. From unremarkable suppli (3 yrs. ago)to OMG suppli, mais pancake, rye pasta etcetc we were sublimely happy.
We sat at the 4 top in front of the door and it was VERY cold. We ate with our coats on.
One word - "Wow!". We live about 300 yards from Coppa and have been meaning to try it for 2 years but it's always full. We finally made a reservation well in advance and are so glad we did. It's our new favorite Italian spot in the South End, maybe all of Boston.
We started with some of the salumi and cheese. All were great - especially the fresh sliced prosciutto di parma. The waitress was so friendly and nice too - with excellent recommendations on both the food and wine. After the salumi and cheese, we split one pizza and a pasta dish between my wife and me. Despite the pizzas being fairly small, they are very filling. It was more than enough food for two people and we even brought some pizza home.
We loved our food and so did other diners around us. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.
Amazing food and great ambiance
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought the portions here were ludicrously small and overpriced. The menu seems to comprise small plates that are priced like normal-sized entrees, and expensive ones at that. They gave us tiny biscuits and tiny pieces of the cheeses we ordered to try, basically worth 2 bites each. My gnocchi was a good texture but not flavorful, and I remember feeling like it was no more than glorified mac n' cheese. The pizza my boyfriend got was good, and the "spumoni" desert we had was delicious. Maybe I would have enjoyed a different entree better, but given the expense and the diminutive plates, I still doubt that it would be worth it.
The most fresh pastas, inventive sauces, and friendly staff. Dishes were filling and had a more modern take on traditional pastas. Recommend 100%!!
If you don't like Coppa then I don't like you. Period.
Our favorite place in the south end. Incredible food and service. Never disappoints.
Love Coppa! The best! Love coming here. Never disappointed.
Outstanding service, great menu, and perfect level of noise still carry on a conversation and not be a able to hear the next table over. Highly recommend
Service was A ++++. The only negative is the space was small
