Please note that our patio is first come first serve and reservations are not accepted for outdoor seating. We only accept reservations for the dining room. A few tables as well as the bar are saved for walk ins. Due to our cozy setting, for reservations of parties over 4 people please call Coppa directly.
As Coppa is a small intimate restaurant with limited seats, we do ask if you are running late to please call and alert the host. If the party does not show up, the table is given away after 15 minutes. Thank you in advance!
One word - "Wow!". We live about 300 yards from Coppa and have been meaning to try it for 2 years but it's always full. We finally made a reservation well in advance and are so glad we did. It's our new favorite Italian spot in the South End, maybe all of Boston.
We started with some of the salumi and cheese. All were great - especially the fresh sliced prosciutto di parma. The waitress was so friendly and nice too - with excellent recommendations on both the food and wine. After the salumi and cheese, we split one pizza and a pasta dish between my wife and me. Despite the pizzas being fairly small, they are very filling. It was more than enough food for two people and we even brought some pizza home.
We loved our food and so did other diners around us. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.
Amazing food and great ambiance
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought the portions here were ludicrously small and overpriced. The menu seems to comprise small plates that are priced like normal-sized entrees, and expensive ones at that. They gave us tiny biscuits and tiny pieces of the cheeses we ordered to try, basically worth 2 bites each. My gnocchi was a good texture but not flavorful, and I remember feeling like it was no more than glorified mac n' cheese. The pizza my boyfriend got was good, and the "spumoni" desert we had was delicious. Maybe I would have enjoyed a different entree better, but given the expense and the diminutive plates, I still doubt that it would be worth it.
The most fresh pastas, inventive sauces, and friendly staff. Dishes were filling and had a more modern take on traditional pastas. Recommend 100%!!
If you don't like Coppa then I don't like you. Period.
Our favorite place in the south end. Incredible food and service. Never disappoints.
Love Coppa! The best! Love coming here. Never disappointed.
Outstanding service, great menu, and perfect level of noise still carry on a conversation and not be a able to hear the next table over. Highly recommend
Service was A ++++. The only negative is the space was small
second time here, returnespecially 4 years later for another taste of that fabulous bone marrow pizza, and as I've been telling my boyfriend about it since then, it lived up to all the hype. everything else we sampled off the menu was delectable, and service was certainl pleasing. hope to come back soon!
Coppa has great wine and delicious fresh food with amazing sauces. I can’t wait to go back again!
This restaurant was recommended to us but sadly it was our least favourite during our 5 night stay over Xmas, in Boston. We ordered pizzas but they were hard and bland.
I’ve been wanting to try Coppa for a long time and finally did. I was not disappointed. I enjoy the small plates, sharing and atmosphere. I loved the food! Wow! Delicious. My own grandmas meatballs would have a run for their money against the Polpette. Excellent dining!
It was an excellent choice
Menu and service is great
Good food with really lousy service. They forgot our order, were inattentive, and brought the food out haphazardly. Very small portions for the price. Would not return.
Excellent experience. Wait staff was knowledgeable & made excellent recommendations.
Pasta was incredible. Skip the cheeses. Perfect service.
This was our second time coming to Coppa for brunch. I decided to make a surprise reservation for my boyfriend's birthday, it was easy enough to change from saturday to sunday when he said we were doing something else on saturday. Everything was delicious. We like to get lots of small dishes and share so we had the Aracini (crunchy on the outside, gooey and cheesy on the inside), Zucca (with amazing curry candied walnuts), meatballs (so soft and tasty), tagliatelle de sugo (best pasta I've ever had) and the zeppole (perfect amount of nutella, fresh and hot).
Coppa has a great menu with a variety of options. Good for getting your own meal or sharing a number items with your table. Servers are knowledgeable about the food and drink they offer, and hosts were able to accommodate us when we showed up early for our reservation.
Amazing dinner per usual! Coppa is a neighborhood favorite, the carbonara will change your life!
My second time here and the food was fantastic - arancini, delicata squash dish, and carbonara especially - but the service was downright rude. Our waitress treated my friend with unmasked disdain, walked away from our table several times as we were asking questions, sneered at requests we made (that were made humbly and politely) and then just disappeared for about 20 minutes. It put a real damper on a night I’d been looking forward to with my best friend who was visiting from NY. I wanted to share this restaurant with her and catch up, and sadly, we left feeling treated like second class citizens. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
Always a favorite place- this time of year it can feel very cold every time the door opens if you’re up front.
Food is always unique with each item tasting delicious. Celebrating a birthday here means a candle on gelato.
Great pizza/pasta, great ambiance, great service. Would definitely come back! Excellent date spot
Coppa was absolutely wonderful!!!! My daughter and I are still talking about the delicious meal we had in this wonderful neighborhood spot. The service was friendly and excellent!
Another delicious meal at Coppa. We ordered the Arancini, House Salad, Roasted Delicata Squash, Tagliatelle con Sugo, and the Margherita Pizza, and the Chocolate Gelato to share. The house red wine is always a good choice as well!
We'll certainly be back again!
While it was good, I just dont think it was worth the price. Wouldnt recommend.
Coppa has been a favorite place to come (even though we live an hour away) for a very good dinner. The menu this time seemed more limited and more common. Three of the dishes we had were excellent and two were ordinary. We will definitely go back, but not for a while. Oh, and the room was too cool.
It was my birthday, I noted that and they didn’t make a single mention of it. Food was good but not so good that I wanted to order until I was full.
Great food if you like creative Italian. It’s a neighborhood gem.
Honestly i was blown away by Coppa! In from out of town it came highly recommended and didn’t dissapoint. The food, the wine, the service, the ambience... everything was delicious and perfect! I’m back home now and wish i had Coppa in LA to go to all the time! A must try!
Wonderfully cozy atmosphere and great service. Food was excellent as well with a beautiful variety of options!
Duck prosciutto, beef heart pastrami, roasted rabbit on pasta & bone marrow on pizza?? Yes please!!
Delicious, thought out & surprising.
Most pleased. Will look forward to returning.
I always want to order everything on the Coppa menu.
Making a choice between the inventive salads, the pizzas, sandwiches
and small plates is a delicious conundrum!
Food was very good. Service was slow.
The ambiance is great with awesome music, wine list and restaurant staff. We had the best waitress who was willing to accommodate all of our needs!
Must try dishes:
- nduja pizza
Great food and service but very small and crowded and noisy restaurant.
Great food and atmosphere, cozy. Small plate Italian food, love trying all the different small plates.
Always a delicious delight. Elevated pasta and pizza. Pumpkin hummus with black sesame brittle to die for. Meatballs forever. Fennel pollen on your pizza anyone? This is the place. GO!
