Copper Canyon Grill - Silver Spring
The staff and food were great! I only wish we would have known that the restaurant closed at 8pm, I would have scheduled our reservation earlier as opposed to 7:30. We were waiting for our son who was held up in a meeting and the kitchen was set to close and we had just sat down 15 minutes prior. Again, I’m sure it was a COVID thing and not a restaurant issue. They were great and the food was wonderful. Would recommend and would definitely go back.
Many thanks goes to John and Vanessa (I think that's her name 🤔) who made our experience a GREAT ONE!! The food was delicious and our desserts was superb!! Oh ... and my Pear Martini was out-of-this-world!! 🤗 We'll be back!! 😋😊
Great service and price for your buck.
This has been my go to neighborhood restaurant for nearly a decade but things are a bit different now during pandemic days. I typically just show up anytime and can get a table. This past Friday, I came and was turned away stating that I needed a reservation. That was disappointing but I understood so I made a reservation for the following evening. Currently, there’s a 90min seating maximum which I’m not really a fan of. The food felt rushed and my crab cakes didn’t seem cooked well enough. In fact, the following morning I was really sick from eating them so I think I’ll hold off until life is back to normal. I don’t want to be rushed through my meal which is typically $100+.
Food was very good and eating outside by the fireplace was perfect, and plenty warm.
Our server, Holly, was outstanding
Great atmosphere and great service
Overall I was pleased with our Thanksgiving dinner. I was most disappointed that the turkey was processed meat and not fresh roasted turkey. It did not stand up to the quality expected from a fine dining establishment where steaks are freshly prepared.
The food and atmosphere was superb!
I definitely would come back and try more dishes.
We loved Copper Canyon Grill. The food was incredibly delicious. Everyone must try the ceasar salad. Best salad I've ever had. The service was pleasant, cheerful and very accommodating. We received our food very quickly after ordering. Items are priced a little higher here but it is well worth it in my opinion. We will absolutely be going back! 🙂
Dining out during COVID-19 is difficult, but this restaurant made me feel safe and comfortable while enjoying my rare outing with my partner. The staff is very friendly and professional, food and drinks were delicious, and I look forward to my future visits here.
My only complaint is that the lighting was very dim for my preference. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to take photos to help us capture the moment. I felt like a nuisance having to use the flash on my phone to take photos since I didn't want to disturb the other patrons. But overall, this is just a minor inconvenience for an otherwise amazing experience!
very nice place adheres to the CDC guidelines very clean and friendly atmosphere. better to make reservations for maximum comfort
The woman who turned out to be our waitress wouldn’t let one of our party into the restaurant because it was five minutes before opening. The member of our party asked if he could wait in the vestibule, since it was cold and rainy. She acquiesced. She should have offered that right away, since it was crummy weather. Not a welcoming attitude.
The hostess was pestering us about masks, while my husband was putting on his mask. I could tell she was eager to call him out for not putting it on fast enough—a little power trip. We put on our masks, walked about 15 feet to our table and took off our masks since we could now have water. Phew! Glad the hostess gave us a hard time, because we could’ve killed someone during that 15-foot walk.
The woman who didn’t want to let my brother into the restaurant turned out to be our server. My brother told me the story after we all sat down at the table. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but she gave us service with an attitude. I thanked her for bringing something (cant remember what it was) and she didn’t say anything back. Rude. She didn’t fill our water. My husband had to get up, go to the supplies area, take a water pitcher and refill our glasses.
We came to celebrate a birthday, but we were told there was no type of cake. We sang happy birthday to our mom and she blew out the candle on the table.
The pot pie was entirely too peppery, and this is coming from pepper fans.
Crab cake was very good. Can get this at the other location.
Fried chicken salad was good, but needed onion. I requested it from the server and got it.
Overall, very adversarial, cold experience. Won’t be back to this location.
I had a wonderful dinner at Copper Canyan. My mother took my father, boyfriend, and I out for our birthday's. All of the food was delicious and our waiter was phenomenal. The only thing i did not like was the lighting. It was too dark in the restaurant. We had to use the light on our cellphones to see the menu. After a while your eyes adjust to the low lighting level, but for the first 10 minutes it was hard to see. We all agreed the food was awesome and we would definitely come back. The also did a wonderful job of adhering to covid and social distancing protocols.
The food and service were great. Highly recommended.
Food was great!
Amazing. Please bring Back shrimp Escargot!
Very nice visit, staff was professional and pleasant. Food was good as always. Will return.
Ejoyable. We like to go often because the food and space are lovely
Date night with my husband. It was a good experience, we will return.
Terrific atmosphere and food! Excellent evening out--thoroughly enjoyed it!
Waitress and the female manager were great. Waitress realized herself that my date's steak wasn't cooked how he wanted (he didnt even know) and took it upon herself to fix the issue that we didnt even know we had.
LOVE Copper Canyon. Great food, great atmosphere. Social distancing (dining) practiced.
Under the COVID-19 circumstances, I felt very comfortable. We had a couple Of servers and they were all very friendly and always available. The food was fresh and delicious. I hope you all get a chance to dine here in the near future. Can’t wait to go back.
Not sure if their is a new chef, the food was not good at all.
Silver Spring is the meeting point for me to visit with my Mom, sister and brother so we always meet at Copper Canyon.
The restaurant is expanding but had outdoor seating. We sat near the fireplace outside and it was nice and cozy. Service was great and so was the food. Always have leftovers.
Great food and service-even through the pandemic! Lots of variety on the menu, and the waitress was exceptionally to me and my date's requests. Will be coming back soon!
The service was friendly and efficient. The outside dining space was outstanding! However, the interior renovations which have seemingly been put on hold because of the pandemic did not help with the ambiance. From my observation, the price has gone up, causing the value to go down. There is a reduced menu in place and since everyone in my party had the same entree there is little I can comment on, except the meatloaf, which was fair at best. Sadly, Copper Canyon has not improved of late, but then what restaurant has actually improved during the pandemic?
We enjoyed our time spent at CCG! It is one of our favorites. This Sunday was special, I celebrated my 70th Birthday with you guys!!!
Stellar, as always. Menu is a little abridged these days, but the best and favorites are still available.
Copper Canyon was great! I haven’t eaten out much since COVID. The tables are well spaced. Staff wears masks. And the food and drinks were great as usual.
Great as usual. Excellent COVID procedures in place.
Everything’s good I really enjoyed the food and the service
We sat outside on their patio. Very nice location. The food was very good. We had the ribs and the rattlesnake chicken pasta entree. Both did not disappoint. Service was a bit spotty, but good.
Good location, food was tasty and social distancing measures was taken by this restaurant. Only thing I would have like was more menu selections. The menu is very limited.
nice evening, very quiet, good food... seating was good placement
A fight broke out in which a server fought with a client and cops met us at the exit
Food and service were superb. We all enjoyed our meals. Escpecially the cocktails. I definitely recommend the sangria and mango martini. They also have premium scotch available. Kudos to our server Alyssa. We will be back.
We had a great time, great food and great service!
