Best American Restaurants in Plaza District

Recently came for my birthday and it was hands down the best dinner I've ever had. Our waiter, Keith, was so sweet and attentive and made sure our first time dining was an experience we'll never forget. Food was perfection from presentation to taste and service was top notch. Will have to come back!

We love tellers. The food is amazing! Drinks are top notch. The history and decor just brings the experience all together. Service is always on point.

What a fantastic restaurant for any special occasion! My husband and I went for the first time last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our experience couldn’t have been any better. The service, setting and food were all outstanding!

Between the five of us, our orders included the chicken fried steak, shrimp & grits, and the French dip. Every one of these items was fantastic! We did the blue cheese potato chips as an appetizer mainly out of curiosity and they were a wonderful surprise. It’s house-made kettle chips w a cheese fondue coating them with bacon and green onion on top. Would definitely do that again. Then we wrapped up with a single enormous slice of the double chocolate cake. It was dark chocolate, lots of layers and utterly delicious. We will absolutely be making a return appearance to Cheever’s.
