Best Bistros in South San Francisco

Cache French bistro is a very welcome addition to San Francisco and has tremendous potential. Modern style yet at the same time quite classic French techniques with some regional flavors that you don't really get anywhere else. Simple at its core, and a majority of courses have nuanced textures and seasonings that work well, and go well with wine, particularly in the style of natural, organic, biodynamic range that is popular these days. There is one area of improvement, where one staff member spoke a bit too softly while introducing the sauce of one dish (the sea bream sashimi), and subsequently when staff brought out the dish, they mostly stopped introducing them and giving them brief descriptions. So it was just placed at the table then walk away, which is kind of odd. I'm the type who is curious enough to know what it is I am eating, and want to know beyond the menu descriptors. I'm happy to re-visit again and hope this is addressed in the future. It's a small detail that is easily rectified that would improve the experience greatly. Regardless, the food here is great, even the desserts. Sometimes we crave simplicity with flair, a somewhat low key feel neighborhood gem and destination, because sometimes fine dining can be tiring and overplayed, and Cache does deliver on that.

This was our first time at Park & Howard and the experience was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and the menu and food was like being at a Michelin restaurant. Highly recommend!
