Had the roast beef and it was melt in the mouth tender and delicious, also range and quantity of vegetables excellent. Atmosphere was great and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, even though the pub was very busy and they were all working so hard. Service was very prompt, all food steaming hot and very fresh. Very attractive, typically English pub. Their commitment to quality shines through in the dining options, & is expertly crafted by Chef Tom Mackins and Arron Varley. For the homity pie, it was really good but the only thing I would say is that for the price, it would be nice to have had a vegetable side with it. I paid £5 for a side of mash potato...it was lovely though. Cocktails were £10-12 each and were a little average which was a bit disappointing for the price. We ate outside as the weather was nice and the views/sunset overlooking the sea are amazing! We had a starter to share & swordfish for our main meal which was delicious, beautifully cooked/presented with a good mix of vegetables to accompany. Good value for what we had.
