My wife and I dined with two friends. The restaurant is in a 19th century house. It is very pleasant. Service was friendly and efficient. Very informative about the food and wines. The oysters were excellent. Stuffed zucchini flowers were excellent. Duck breast was cooked perfectly and was accompanied with a reduction and rhubarb sauce that were very flavorful. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Great curry with a lovely atmosphere. My English born husband said it was the best curry he had had in Melbourne since moving here 14 years ago.
Cocktails were also great. A win all around.
The best Cumberland sausages I’ve had outside the UK - cooked perfectly with mash, rich onion gravy and mushy peas. With a pint (or two) of London Pride, it doesn’t get any better. Perhaps a Theakston’s Old Peculiar…?
