The only thing negative I can say about this place is the three flights of stairs to get in. The décor of the place is just lovely, really well put together. The staff are amazing, knowledgeable, helpful & caring and really attentive. Their efforts made the evening run so seamless and we were never without a drink or food for more than a minute or two, we felt very looked after. (Big thank you to you all). The main event though is the food. Just wow! honestly the food is cooked to perfection, the flavours are outstanding and the portions are perfectly balance. Nothing heavy all so lovely and light but by the end very filling. I would reckon this to everyone, whether a special occasion, treating yourself, or if you just want to top tier food and service. Get yourself booked in and enjoy the experience.

Fabulous experience at the legacy restaurant. The whole team were attentive and engaging. I would love to return the next time I’m in York and have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant and food quality. Absolutely superb!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Amber's. Their Sunday lunch is absolutely superb. There was nothing I could quib about. Our waitress Hannah was delightful and the service was excellent. Thank you once again Amber's.

Superb food. Great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had the set menu and wine pairing. Every dish was well presented and delicious. The wines complemented each dish perfectly too. Would highly recommend.

We go to the Leeds Doubltree specifically to have dinner at The Lock. The sharing tomahawk is amazingly good and great value with 2 sides and 2 sauces included. It did not disappoint once again - huge compliments to the chef and rest of the team.
