Best Creative Japanese Restaurants in Sahara Hotel & Casino

Second time here in a week. The food is absolutely superb. The service is incredible. I only wish I knew a way to spread it across the Valley so people would know about this hidden gem. Absolutely amazing !!

Amazing experience highlighted by incredible and innovative food, exceptional service, and a classy and modern yet relaxing environment. It was my first time at Doanburi so I tried a wide range of dishes. Everything was phenomenal but I would highly recommend the hokkaido uni toast (the wasabi creme fraiche perfectly elevated the dish) and the ama ebi/scallop/caviar because the taste, texture, and amount/size each component complemented, enhanced, and balanced every other component - it was one of the very best dishes I have ever had. For me, it's a great place to find classic favorites as well as something different and new. I sat at the counter and Chef Jae was extremely engaging, friendly, and kind enough to explain how (and why) certain dishes were constructed. I commented several times how one of her dishes compared favorably to somewhat similar (well-known) dishes at other famous Japanese restaurants and she, when asked, explained how she tried to elevate the dish or decided to create a different version of the dish. It was really cool how she could clearly articulate what I was tasting and why different elements of a dish worked so well together. I would add that the service was impeccable - as good as any service I've ever had. Overall, an incredible experience. I've already made a reservation for next week and I'm sure I'll be going back many, many times in the future.
