We celebrated my husband’s and son’s birthdays here last night and had a lovely evening. The restaurant is so beautiful and cosy, lovely atmosphere with beautiful artwork on the walls and a library room type of feel. Friendly service and the food was all delicious. Highly recommend and we will definitely book again.

As three close friends celebrating our special birthdays, we selected afternoon tea at the Ashmolean rooftop restaurant. Our intention was to create special memories and the restaurant met all of our high expectations! We were greeted warmly, shown to a beautifully laid table and we enjoyed the most delicious afternoon tea. Huge thanks to all the staff for making our special tea such an amazing occasion.

    The set meal of 3 courses was excellent in all respects. Excellent quality and service, and very good value. We have booked for the Festive menu in December.

    It’s great to see this pub open again. It is such an amazing building and location. The new owners are doing a great job and the Thai pop up kitchen serves great food. A local classic car club were back for their second visit in a month, so it must be good! Only two things to note, they were quite busy when we went, and I believe they had a couple of staff missing, so service could have been faster, but we weren’t in a hurry, so no problem. The other thing is that vegetarians are very limited for choice at the moment. You have to ask for a vegan Pad Thai specifically, or you might get fish sauce and prawns! Apart from those teething problems it was excellent and we will be back!
