Best English Restaurants in Westergate

Absolutely fantastic. As good a restaurant we have been to in a long time. Certainly up there with some top Michelin star restaurants we have been to. What we loved was that menu was really well planned with every dish offering something different. Service was excellent.

We went to Potagers for a mid week meal. We had the locals night set menu, which we have had several times before. The choices were all really good which made it difficult to choose but we both had the belly of pork bites to start which were melt in your mouth tasty. We again both had the pan seared hake with new potatoes and an exceptional curried cauliflower puree. The food is so flavourful and beautifully presented this is punching well above what you would expect from a set menu at a reasonable price. Not to be missed

This is a fantastic restaurant , the service from the staff was extremely good, helpful and friendly and the food is outstanding , a most enjoyable evening

Lovely venue and very helpful staff. We had a cream tea for 2 with a glass of sparkling local wine (which we didn’t get!) Personally I don’t think I would pay that amount again for what we got, the salmon on a small roll was inedible and the sandwiches were literally a 1/4 of a piece of bread with filling each. The scone wasn’t particularly fresh and the cake offerings were tiny. The breakfast tea was lovely, and the service fabulous. So all in all don’t bother with the afternoon teas over priced, just not worth it. But service lovely so go and try the hotel, Spa and main meals.
