Best French Restaurants in Chestertown, Baltimore / Maryland

Cafe Normandie has wonderful food. It is consistently delicious and well-prepared. They have 1/2 price bottles of wine on their excellent wine list on Wednesdays. The duck is over the top. The pate is fantastic. The veal is perfect. Here’s the rub: they seem under-staffed so the service suffers. Not because the servers are bad, but because they’re assigned too many tables. We love going there, but always with the expectation that the service will be spotty and the food great. That slows the pace of the meal. I wish they would remedy this - we would become regulars.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. The staff and the management made our celebration extra special. The food was delicious! We started with the lobster crepe. I had the chicken Lyonnaise and my husband had the short ribs. Best meal I have had in a while. We enjoyed the jazz band, although next time we will choose a table a little further from the stage. Thank you for a fantastic evening!

Outstanding service and superb food, particularly the trout. And excellent tiramisu and black manhattan!
