Usually there is more of a wait in the winter, even with a reservation, because of the smaller size of the space. Overall it is worth waiting for and a great spot to have dinner with a small group in Old Town!More infoGallucciPrice: Moderate• Pizzeria• Old Town•4.3
- JJoelChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWonderful service, only one dish we didn't absolutely love (the octopus could have used some lemon or something). But the only real problem is the cold air - the vestibule, it does nothing to keep the wind out.More infoRose MaryPrice: Expensive• Croatian• West Loop•4.7
- PPortiavipChicago / Illinois •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoAmazing meal. Pastas outstanding . Our table of 5 shared 3 appetizers and 4 pastas and one steak dish. This was plenty of food and we just shared it all. Pasta servings good size . The duck pasta was turntables favorite We did do the bread service but at $12 it was pricey for an oversized buttery rolls .good but not worth it. Cocktails great . Espresso martini one of the best in town. Overly wonderful. Pricey Dunn’s if one goes to the main courses and caviars but the way we ordered was easier on the walletMore infoAdalinaPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.5
- CCourtneyChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI have been eagerly trying to secure a reservation at Pizza Portofino for quite some time, and I was absolutely thrilled when I finally had the opportunity to dine there. From the moment I walked in, the restaurant's coastal ambiance immediately set the tone for a truly exceptional experience. The drinks were superb, and the food was nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend the whipped ricotta and fig bruschetta, the crispy parmesan fries, the meatballs, the black truffle and three cheese pizza, and the sausage and fennel pizza – though honestly, I believe you can't go wrong with any dish on the menu. While the food and drinks were phenomenal, what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service. From the bartenders, who were so welcoming as we enjoyed a few cocktails while waiting for our table, to our attentive server, every member of the team exceeded expectations. However, it was the manager, Heather, who truly stood out. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel incredibly special, and she went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable.More infoPizzeria PortofinoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.7
