Best Italian Restaurants in Haymarket

We shared the Stracciatella and the Maltagliati. Both were excellent. We finished the meal with the Leaf Salad - fresh and sweet lettuce and the dressing was delicious. The Tiramisu was an added treat- very tasty.

Fantastic food served by knowledgeable enthusiastic staff. Had the tasting menu and wine pairing. Highly recommend!

Had the best evening at Pellegrino 2000 with a girlfriend. The staff particularly our waiter Callum(?) were experienced, knowledgeable and engaging, and provided exceptional service. They accommodated a table change when we found we were seated at the bar dining and my friend had a back injury that sitting there didn't suit. The menu was selective but wide enough to meet most people's tastes. The food was authentic and beautifully prepared and presented, and the cocktails were fabulous especially their special Bloody Collins made from their own in house prepared blood orange base. One sign of a great restaurant is when they not only do their signature dishes exceptionally well but when their standard dishes are also 10/10. That was the case with their Tiramisu. Notably Taylor Swift ate here when in Sydney on Tour.

The young male waiter was excellent and very professional. He was polite and even provide me a glass of warm water to sooth my sore throat and cough. Highly recommend The Sussex Restaurant
