Went for my wife's Birthday. Was greeted by the hostess and Manager, who escorted us to our table. They both wished my wife happy birthday after seating us. Our waitress was exceptional. She went over the specials for the day and asked if we had any questions about the menu. I ordered the chicken parm and my had the lasagna. The chicken parm was out of this world. The lasagna portion was enough to feed 2 people and was also delicious. They also brought out a piece of cheese cake with a candle in for my wife. Very thoughtful! Great food at a great price. Definitely worth going to if you are in the area.

Food and cocktails were incredible but you can’t beat the customer service. Unfortunately most restaurants forget about customer service. The atmosphere at Ancora is welcoming as soon as you walked through the door. We will definitely be back soon.

Hostess wasn’t aware you could make OpenTable reservations. We were seated promptly and placed drink and app order. Drinks and bread arrived shortly afterwards. They offer a daily early bird special(as of 9/26) from 3-5:30 daily. Consists of drinks - sodas, tea/coffee; soup or salad and choice of 6 entrees from 2 different price structures. Also included is a bowl of chocolate or vanilla ice cream or mini cannoli. Ordered the deluxe app - Buratta with fresh tomatoes, onions and fresh basil. Soup we picked: minestrone and Chickarina; entrees: Fettuccine Alfredo and grilled Alpine chicken. Dessert was the cannolis. Great value, food was tasty and service was excellent. Adding to our restaurants when we are in the Utica area.

My wife and I have been to Romans probably more than 20 times since it opened. We are never disappointed, ever. We rate every aspect of your offering a 5. You have the best raw oysters and raw clams at very reasonable prices, unlike another place in town that charges $55 a dozen for oysters and they are no better than yours. Can’t wait for our next visit.
