Shinwa is a hidden gem. Tucked in Ridge city it is an amazing sushi restaurant I would recommend. One of my favorite places to get my usuals. The salmon and ikura. Skewers. Fried rice. And most importantly Mango Fried ice cream !! Best I’ve had by far. Highly recommended. Thank you Chef Winston and team! See you soon …

If I could give this place more stars for service, ambiance and food quality, I totally would. First of all, Catherine (sp?) is an absolute gem. She truly made our dining experience from start to finish even as she seemed to be serving the entire dining room and tending bar, at times. The vibe was so wonderful; dark and intimate like a speakeasy but still welcoming and inviting. Especially excellent for a date night but really enjoyable for any purpose. And then the food and drinks—come.on. Ceviche was among the best I’ve had. The cocktails were inspired while maintaining balance. The sushi/nigiri/sashimi options ranged from reliable favorites to unique and creative twists. And I’ve never had a better molten lava cake. No other restaurant should be allowed to call their dish that name unless they can execute it this well (and good luck).
