Best Japanese Restaurants in Little Egg Harbor

Closest thing to Japan without the 14-hour flight! I’ve had sushi in Tokyo and Osaka. Most places here are fine. This one isn’t “fine.” It’s the closest I’ve found to actual Japan. The rice is right — slightly warm, properly seasoned, not mushy or cold. The fish is clean and cut with real care, not the usual “good enough for America” quality. Nothing is over-sauced or over-decorated. It’s just fish, rice, and technique. If you close your eyes for a second, it feels like a small neighborhood sushi-ya, not a restaurant trying to look Japanese. That’s rare. If you want sushi that actually tastes like Japan, this is the place. I’m already planning the next visit.

We absolutely loved this place. The food, ambiance, drinks and music were on point. We will return for Xmas

For our first time at Nobu we were blown away! Aubrey and Victoria were outstanding servers! We went to celebrate our anniversary and everyone wished us a happy anniversary, they brought over two glasses of champagne, and wrote happy anniversary on our dessert. All things we did not expect but felt so appreciative of the gestures! The food was absolutely incredible! We got a lot of the signature dishes and cocktails to get the true Nobu experience and we’re so happy we did. Overall we had the best time and will definitely be back :)

The food and service was amazing. The portions are very generous.

King Ghidorah always a go to roll! Yummy ginger salad and crispy rice!
