Best Modern Australian Restaurants in Myrniong

We dined at Freyja last night and enjoyed the six-course chef’s tasting menu—one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was exceptional, with flavours that made us stop and savour every bite. An unforgettable evening and a restaurant I would wholeheartedly recommend. Five stars hardly feels enough!

We had the set menu and the food was amazing. Heaps of it and very delicious. Loves the pizzas and pasta. The tiramisu was a perfect way to end the meal. Staff were so friendly and accomodating.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. It is one of Australia’s best fine dining and our expectations were met. Every single course (13 no.) and the order were orchestrated thoughtfully. No dish over shine the previous or the next, and we left the restaurant very satisfied. Fergus, the sommelier was excellent in recommending a white and red that suit our style and still complement the food. The whole VdM team were professional but still warm, relatable and friendly. Thank you to Fergus, Lauren, Sylvia and Francesca that looked after us. We had a memorable time dining at VdM.

We had a fantastic experience at The Carlton Wine Room. The wine list was excellent, with plenty of interesting choices, and the menu was creative and a little different. Everything we tried was delicious, but the scallop and wallaby were definite standouts. The service was excellent — warm, attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Great food, great wine and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
