Where toI start! Right; food : exceptional - all three courses for two -perfection! Service: impeccable - a delightful waitress engaged with us, she had expert knowledge about the food, the ingredients, the way it’s cooked, service was flawless, all 6 dishes delivered timely and perfect temperature. Ambience: special, quality, genuine, quaint. I’ve been to Bournes twice this month and it was just as perfect as the first time. And it all feels very genuine in there, not a performance, you can feel a good staff vibe in there and it resonates out. I almost don’t want to recommend it publicly in case it get too fully booked, Bournes is my little secret find, it’s the ace card up my sleeve for when I really want to impress someone with dining out.

It was an excellent night which ended in a brilliant date. Stephan was an amazing host with the right wine advice, the overall service was excellent with top quality attention to customers.
