Best Southern American Restaurants in Douglasville

It was our anniversary and we didn’t even mention it. The servers must have known through the reservation app. They gave us the sweetest card and dessert to take home! On top of just good quality food and terrific and knowledgable service, this was just such a special surprise.

This was honestly one of the greatest fine dining experiences I’ve ever had, if not the best. Our server, Kaci, was very polite, patient, and recommended my girlfriend try the Blackberry Nojito, which was delicious. We ordered the Pimento cheese as our appetizer and it was a fantastic start to our meal. The complimentary cheese and jalapeño cornbread was also very tasty. For our entrees, my girlfriend ordered the Shrimp and Grits, while I ordered the Fried Chicken with a Watermelon Salad. This was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. It was neatly plated on a bed of mashed potatoes and served with greens. I’m a VERY picky eater, and I have a history of not liking textural foods (like mashed potatoes), but these mashed potatoes completely blew me out of the water. The greens were a really good addition as well because of how flavorful all of the food was. I tried some of my girlfriend’s Shrimp and Grits and they were really good. Overall, we had an outstanding experience and we’ll be back again.

I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience! The menu was diverse and unexpected. The food was amazing. The service was just right between being attentive and respectful of space and the table’s vibe for intimate, undisturbed conversation. I will definitely be back!
