Best Southern American Restaurants in East Austin

Overall one of the best restaurants and experiences. The food is always amazing and the biscuits are the best I’ve ever had! The ambiance is inviting, the views of downtown are great and the staff is always welcoming!

Jacoby’s was an absolute standout dining experience! The ambiance was incredible, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the evening feel special from the moment we arrived. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, and it did not disappoint. The chicken fried steak was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the creamy mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the NY Strip, and after trying a bite, I can confidently say it was absolutely delicious. The steak was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and one of the highlights of the meal. Between the outstanding food, excellent atmosphere, and overall experience, Jacoby’s exceeded expectations. Great food and drinks, and the service was excellent.

 We always love going to Colleen’s Kitchen for lunch. The last three times we’ve been there, Travis has served us impeccably. He is cordial and attentive to the needs of our group of older women and accommodates our need to turn down the music level in our little corner of the restaurant.  The food is so good, the atmosphere is lovely, and we never miss the chance to enjoy their warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Thanks y’all; see you again soon!

New menu since our last visit. We really loved the mix of entrees and small plates. A great meal!
